dimpules8: Based on the trend of events by CIC and d much I have gathered from reading through this thread, I would say yes your friend has a point.
Please note that d gurus here advocate for a relationship between your intended course and your past academic and/or work experience. If there is no relationship, a strongly worded SOP/LOE is needed in order to "hopefully" convince the VO as to why d chosen course although not related, is d best for the applicant.
But then, prayer availeth much.

TheDreamChaser: Thanks ninered. I was actually chasing the Canadian dream last year just like pvibe007 but I got denied twice by CIC for going for a PGD in a course not related to my undergraduate degree. It was a bitter experience but I had to pick myself up again, redefine my dreams and chase the German dream. Now, I'm an enrolled TUM student, a school ranked among the top 100 in the world! To everyone out there whose dreams might have been hindered by circumstances beyond your control, sometimes redefining them might just make you share your success story. do they normal donthat ..I applied to study philosophy in Canada but I have a background to study public administration |
