Luka Modric said he wants to retire at Real Madrid after beating Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to the Ballon d’Or.

Luka Modric claimed the coveted individual honour at a ceremony in Paris on Monday – ending the domination of Ronaldo and Barcelona sensation Messi, who had split the past 10 awards.

After becoming the first Croatian to win the Ballon d’Or, Modric quickly pledged his future to three-time reigning Champions League holders Madrid amid links with Serie A side Inter.

The governorship candidate of the Reform and Advancement Party in Imo State, Kingdom Okere, has promised to probe the administration of the outgoing governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, should he be elected.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has rescued an American citizen, Tawanda Lynn Jackson, who was reportedly held hostage by one Mathew Adedoyin, her acquaintance whom she met on the social media.

The suspect was paraded along with his purported accomplice on Monday by the Director of DSS, Lagos Command, Mrs Betty Adoki, a statement from the Lagos State Ministry of Justice revealed.

Adoki said 46-year-old Jackson arrived in Lagos on November 11 and was received at the airport by Adedoyin who allegedly raped her several times.

Tragedy as 15 year old girl who is allegedly dating a 29 year old man dies after been stabbed several times.

The boyfriend was also rushed to the hospital after he was attacked by residents in Umlazi, KZN, South Africa, after they discovered he had killed his girlfriend identified as Babalwa Mbhele.

The suspect was rescued by family members.

Babalwa’s sister, Silindile (30), said they were woken up at 2am yesterday by residents who came to tell them Babalwa had been stabbed. They rushed to the boyfriend’s apartment and found Babalwa’s body there.
