I decided to clear the bush on my idle plot of land, to start a small backyard farm today. In the course of clearing, I noticed some little snails, which I ignored them and continued my clearing. Some minutes later, I started seeing big snails, Kai! That's how I dropped my cutlass and turned snail hunter. I was able to pickup sizeable number of big snails which were later used for snail suya. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1YFVgPksmI

crestedaguiyi:Can you tell us, what killed those Cows? |
Imagine the damage and pain caused to this particular farmer, willfully destroying his farm just for the cattle to feed on. Once beaten twice shy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33pyQ13xyQs |
babazak:I think the farmers are now taking the bull by the horns. This particular farmer lazed his crops with poison, in their usual manner, the herder came with his cattles, ate up the farmer's crops and all cattles died in the process. What a justice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ud_r_zDS5s |
In what look like a revenge on Fulanis for incessant destruction of their farmland and crops.A Fulani herder was seen confused for what has befallen him, as hundreds of his cattles laid dead from suspected poison eaten from a farmland. Few days ago, a video of a herder cutting down a maize farm to feed his cattles was shared (https://www.nairaland.com/8130254/see-what-fulani-herdsmen-did ) and in what look like a wake up call, it seems farmers are already applying their own tactics of dealing with the menace of these fulanis. Can this be the lasting solution? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ud_r_zDS5s?si=RJyPPNbPNKkO096K
|
We4all:Well said, and I agree with you. These present breed of Fulanis herders are different from those one we grew up to know.but,if people, (farmers ) makes up their minds to defend themselves, the end may be worse than the END SARS saga. |
wrongman665:The most annoying things is that, these things has been going on for years and nothing happens. Imagine, you're not free and safe on your own land. They don't care if you're around the farm or not to graze on your farm. Impunity of the highest order |
We are talking of food security. Imagine what these Fulani Herdsmen are doing to this farmer's crop. They are even bold enough to record their action on camera. I think it's high time government should criminalized their excesses and treat their trespasses and willful destruction of farm products as criminal act. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33pyQ13xyQs?si=ClZhwIeH8MeQz_Db

OBTOREPA:Ilorin, Kwara state. These rams were bought at Kara, livestock market,oke-ose, after university of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) |
Two days to Sallah celebration,I decided to buy my Sallah ram today and visited the ram market.Despite the high cost of ram this year, I was able to purchased these two Rams at 150k. It took me about 3 hours of walking around before I was able to get these two rams. The same size of the rams are being sold for between 120-150k in the same market. Tips to buying cheaper Sallah ram 1-Don't rush in buying sallah's ram.Wait for a day or two days to Sallah before buying. Some northerners selling these rams would want to go back to their base for Sallah celebration with their family, hence reduction in price. 2- Avoid the interference of the middlemen in price negotiations. If possible, locate the owner and negotiate directly.Middlemen will inflate the price beyond ordinary. 3- Avoid clustered selling point, you may never get a good bargain. It seems ram are a bit cheaper in my place compared to some other locations. Happy Sallah in advance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En8q9a9HJRk?si=f8JkMogvJKgoZ9cV
