Education / Re: How To Get A Study Abroad Loan In Nigeria by Babe808: 4:54pm On Nov 08, 2023
Pay4MeApp:
Many students need to realize that they could use study loans to fulfill their dreams of studying abroad. While some Nigerian families have bad experiences with refinancing loans, here is what you need to know about study-abroad loans for Nigerian students.

Prodigy Finance
Prodigy Finance offers Nigerian students loans without a co-applicant or collateral to help them realize their study abroad dreams. With the loan, students don't have to worry about their educational expenses. For instance, all costs, including living expenses, tuition, and a few fees, are covered.

Life abroad could be challenging for international students, and Prodigy understands this. You can begin refinancing your Prodigy student loans six months after graduation, and this payback period is up to 20 years.

However, students must take approved courses in schools before qualifying for this loan. Furthermore, Prodigy Finance accepts medicine, law, public policy, science and technology students, and business.

Primary Documents Required:

1. Proof of identity (your passport)

2. Proof of income

3. Proof of savings (if applicable)

4. Proof of admission

5. Proof of address

6. Proof of scholarships or company sponsorship (if applicable)

7. Financial aid form (if applicable)

Hello, I gained admission to study in Netherlands. I already enrolled but I don’t have enough funds. Prodigy declined my loan application. What other alternative would advise me to use please?

Letter of commitment is enough and you dont need his bank statement.

Note the person must reside in Germany and the person must be working and earning a good money. The letter of commitment is not an ordinary document and before the alien office in his city can issue that document, they will go through his work documents and other relevant documents to know if he is eligible. So only that document is enough

okay, thanks a lot

You can't apply from Senegal due to something known as "territorial competence" As a rule, you should apply in a country that you reside, and if you live in Nigeria, then you should apply from Nigeria.

Although exceptions applies, for example you are a Nigerian living in Senegal (not as a tourist, but with a Senegalese residence permit), then you can apply from Senegal (your place of residence) and Nigeria (your country of citizenship).

Applying from Senegal with documents from Nigeria will not be accepted, or accepted and rejected, since the consular can't examine/verify applications/documents from nigeria. They speak French in Senegal for example.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I do have my consular card in Senegal, I don’t know if that’s good enough. I was hoping to make more enquiries when I get there.

I still don’t understand the blocked account thing and how am I suppose to go about opening one and also I’ll be traveling to Senegal next month, should I just hold on to apply for visa there instead of waiting for 15 months here in Nigeria
