olasubomy: Background check (BGC) is a procedure to verify the criminal and/or security background of visa applicants to ensure they’re admissible to Canada. This involves criminality check, security screening and information sharing and most times involves the support of Canadian Security Intelligence service. At this stage IRCC is reviewing to be sure the applicant wont pose a security threat to Canada. This is the stage where the IRCC does country by country information sharing with other countries like the USA, UK etc to see if they have any information on the applicant that poses security threat or risk. Sometimes they can check social media platforms Linkedln, facebook etc for further checks.
While Eligibility review is confirming if the applicant is a genuiene student and truly intends to study in Canada. This is a critical part of the application At this stage, a visa officer of the IRCC reviews the applicant statement of purpose or letter of explantion, letter of acceptance from the designated learning institution, career progression, home ties, proof of funds etc. Sometimes based on their discretion, they can contact the current employer for confirmation of his/her employment status. This is where they make thier decision whether to grant an approval. Oh thanks alot |

OtunbaTee: It means u didnt pay it before abi... No I’ve paid for my visa application from the start I just noticed that why is the new bank statement I submitted just showing uploaded Nd not submitted to ircc so I scrolled down the page Nd saw I’m to pay 150cad again which I’ve paid normally during my application process |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Babhydoll: 6:53pm On Dec 17, 2020 |
Hello please for people that received the NSE letter did you pay another 150 cad cause that it’s what it is telling me before I can go through this stream. Mine is showing uploaded but not submitted to ircc and if I’m to go through with this scheme I need to pay another 150cad. I guess that’s why for some people even if they said 20 days it has exceeded Nd still no response

[quote author=Frankrobbn1 post=96653237]Advanced biotechnology (fast track) in centennial college. Depending on your previous qualification it would be used to determine whether it’s a normal diploma certificate or a post graduate diploma certificate. For example if you’ve a Bsc already then you’ll get a PGD and if it’s after a high school grade you get a post secondary diploma. Got this information from someone who attended centennial studying advanced biotechnology
