The available guy is that guy who a lady uses to "hold side" while awaiting her prince in shining armour. In most cases, the available guy is an awesome and amazing guy in his own way but not the lady's ideal man. Ladies stay with the available guy for fear of loneliness. Yes, you don't expect Racheal to be the only single lady in the neighborhood when every other lady is entangled! So, she will hook up with with just any available guy. Most times, ladies stay in an unhealthy and abusive relationships because the man that's maltreating them is the only available guy. This same available guy syndrome is the reason some ladies disappear on their wedding day because they know that guy is not what they want as a life partner. And those who ends up with the available guy in marriage have tendencies of loneliness, bitterness and unfaithfulness because the available guy is not their spec! Have you heard of guys who complaints of "after I trained her in school, she said am not her type?" Oh yes, some of those guys were victims of the "available guy". In order to curb this menace, sisters please learn to wait patiently for that desired man. " when desirable is not available, the available becomes the available" is not applicable to all situations. You and I know that if you are hungry and really want to eat okra soup but impatient made you settle for fried yam before the okra soup is ready, you won't have space for the okra soup in your system! Some ladies end up stucked with this "available guy" that they can't leave when the ideal man eventually shows up. Sister, let every "available guy" in your life go. Waiting is not wasting. |

Police commission to recruit candidates on reserve list
By NAN | 09 March 2017 | 4:06 pm
Some applicants into the Nigerian Police Force
The Police Service Commission (PSC), says it will consider
applicants on the reserve list for an interview for recruitment
into the Nigeria Police Force.
A statement issued by Mr Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Press and
Public Relations of the commission on Thursday, said that
candidates for specialists cadre would also be invited for an
interview at the appropriate time.
He said that the clarification became necessary because the
2016 successful candidates were already in various Police
training schools across the country.

“The applicants on the reserve list will be considered in line
with available vacancies from the Training Colleges.
“The commission is awaiting reports from the Police Staff
College, Jos, and the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, where
candidates for ASPs and Inspectors respectively are
undergoing training,” he said.
Ani explained that reports from the Training Colleges were
expected to contain the status of the trainees, state by state
after the required screening at the Colleges.
He said that vacancies would be filled from the shortlisted
reserve list from the states where they occur based strictly on
their placement on the reserve list.
The spokesman said that interview for specialists scheduled
for Dec. 21, 22 and 23, 2016 could not hold because of a letter
from professional bodies questioning qualifications of some
candidates on the list.
He said the letters came from the Association of Medical
Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria and National Secretary and
Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
Ani explained that the bodies insisted that the applicants must
be registered and licenced because the profession was
regulated.
“In order to meet the 2016 recruitment schedule and resolve
issues raised by the bodies, the commission decided to
suspend the interview and allow the selected candidates in
both General duty and Specialists to proceed on training which
began on Dec.31, 2016,“ he said.
He said candidates scheduled for an interview would be
invited along with candidates for the 2017 recruitment after
resolution of the issues raised by the bodies. Ani warned that
anybody smuggled into the colleges outside the approved list
would be arrested and punished accordingly.
He said the commission would protect the integrity of the
exercise and would stop at nothing at punishing anybody
caught.
“Anybody who has given money to be recruited should come
forward with verifiable complaints to enable the commission
to take appropriate action,“ he said.

The Original Yorùbá Word For Wife Is Aya Not Ìyàwó .
Did you know that the original word for wife in Yoruba
language is AYA and not Ìyàwó The latter is quite commonly
used nowadays than the former. I would take you through
how Ìyàwó came about;
Wúrà who was at the phase of choosing a spouse was
faced with the task of selecting the most suitable one for
herself, she was the first child and the daughter of the King
of ÌWÓ(A Yorùbá town). Yoruba deities like Șàngó, Ògún, and other known male deities went to Iwo to seek her hand in marriage. Wúrà mistreated them. Wúrà was very rude and uncouth. She meted the worst behaviour one can think of onto her suitors. Everyone of them failed to accomplish the prospect of marrying her because they could not withstand her behaviour and they all abandoned their mission on their first day, that was how tough Wúrà was. However, when it's Ọ̀rúnmìlà's turn, before he set for Ìwó, he sought wisdom from Olódùmarè through Ifa. He was duly informed that no matter the treatment Wúrà might subject him to, he must not react accordingly. He should have patience and lots of endurance. He was highly warned to expect humiliation from Wúrà but must not be provoked. When Ọ̀rúnmìlà got to Ìwó, Wúrà looked at him scornfully, she did not welcome him, she hissed at him, called Ọ̀rúnmìlà all sorts of name, she did not even give Ọ̀rúnmìlà any food or entertained him. Ọ̀rúnmìlà just ignored her attitudes. The first day, second day, till about the seventh day. To cap it all, Wúrà took Ọ̀rúnmìlà's Opon-Ifa [divination board] and used it as firewood. She took Ọ̀rúnmìlà's Pouch [Àpò Ọ̀mìjẹkùn] from him. This angered Ọ̀rúnmìlà's greatly but he still conducted himself alright. He refused to react to her behaviour having been warned of the consequences of not heeding the advice. Eventually, the King realised that Ọ̀rúnmìlà' was humble and well behaved. He was amazed and Ọ̀rúnmìlà did not react or show any sign of anger towards his daughter despite the humiliation. Orunmila's behaviour gave him the assurance that he would take good care of Wura, his daughter if she became his wife. All along however and unknowingly, Wúrà's behaviour had been a test for all the prospective suitors. The King finally summoned Ọ̀rúnmìlà and handed Wúrà over to him as his wife and he divided his property into two. He gave Ọ̀rúnmìlà half of it and Ọ̀rúnmìlà thus became rich and had Wúrà as his wife. Upon Ọ̀rúnmìlà's arrival back home, his people welcomed him enthusiastically for his accomplished task. They asked for some details of his new wife, his answer was direct: Ìyà - tí -mo-je- ní -Ìwó (the result of my indignation at Iwo town). This eight syllable word, "Ìyà-tí-mo-je- ní -Ìwó" became known as Ìyà-Ìwó and now Ìyàwó . Hopefully with this new information I have educated you a bit more about your wife. So if she hisses at you sometimes and is obstinate, just remember Ọ̀rúnmìlà's humiliation at Ìwó before he wins his wife's hand in marriage. ... and keep behaving like Ọ̀rúnmìlà . |
