Bad idea. With a small kid it will not be as easy to get a new job that will understand you need to rush home to breast feed or the baby needs this and that. You're better off there.

And you can't deplete your savings. You need alot of money for a small baby and you can't risk living without savings in case of unplanned emergencies
The ring suggestion was in my head all night. I'll go job searching on Friday and when I get a new job, I'm going in with a ring. If that doesn't work out, I'll just stick to my job and get the ring anyways. Thanks to you all for the advice.

The school proprietor could be right to sack her for getting pregnant out of wedlock. A teacher is expected to be a role model to pupils. I can not allow my children to be taught by a teacher that got pregnant out of wedlock because it is a bad example of morality. A child born out of wedlock is a bastard.
I'd really appreciate if you don't refer to my child as a bastard. I find that word offensive. The proprietress is a very nice woman but it's my pupils I'm worried about. They're very observant. There's this colleague that likes me. One day they were like, Miss.... we'll get you a wedding dress so you and Mr... can get married. I don't want to show them that it's okay to have a child when you're not married. If I was working somewhere else I wouldn't even bother asking this question.

I'm unmarried and I recently discovered that I'm pregnant. I've always been careful but I guess contraceptives aren't always 100%. The thing is, I am embarrassed. I work with little children. What kind of example am I setting for them? I was thinking of quitting my job when I begin to show. I've got some money saved. I'll go back to work in a different school after the child is born. The child's father is out of the question. You get to know people's character when you're faced with a challenge. I need advice. Should I quit my job or not?

P.S. No insults please... I just need advice.
