Computers / Re: Fastest Broadband In The Uk by badboy56: 2:30am On Apr 10, 2006
It's not about how fast the connection is, what you need to take into consideration is customer service, support charges, and capping. The best place to find out about Be is www.adslguide.org, best ISP information in the UK. When I lived in the UK I used this this site to choose my internet provider.
Computers / Re: Fiber Optics or VSAT, which way to go? by badboy56: 2:03am On Apr 10, 2006
I'm working in Lagos and I'm so glad that were i live has fibre optical cable so I could connect to the internet at a slow speed, 128kbs but it's always on. What the companies needs to do is start offering there services at a cheaper price. The internet provider i'm with gets their bandwidth from the UK (Investigations on the net) and I'm sure their getting it a lot cheaper.

The Problem in Nigeria is how much money I can make rather than how many users could I have connected. The UK was the same but they saw the light and that is why the UK is one of the leaders in Internet.
Computers / ADSL Broadband Connections In Lagos? by badboy56: 1:32am On Apr 10, 2006
I'm currently using VGC ADSL 24/7 Narrowband services, which is okay.  However the amount of money (N18,000/£71.00) per month they are charging is outrageous for 128kbs connection.  I would like to know if there are other companies in Lagos who are offering ADSL broadband connections rather than Narrowband and what the cost is.
