It seems the second point as regards "COMITY OF NATIONS" is misplaced. The phrase was actually used in the right context by Dr. Kayode Fayemi. According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, the former Governor used the phrase in line with its second meaning. This is the definition given by Merriam Webster Dictionary:

comity of nations

1 : the courtesy and friendship of nations marked especially by mutual recognition of executive, legislative, and judicial acts
2 : the group of nations practicing international comity
