And OBJ is still cashing in... From broke prisoner to billionaire Telecom giant... Mr Magic, the more you look, the less you see. |
If you must dine with the devil, mbok pls use long spoon. My question is, na now day brake? |
Their official currency is the Chinese yen |
YES!!! You say thanks because it's polite.. You should say thanks to a bus driver when you get off and also say thanks when you pay for something from a shop... Just learn to say please and thanks, it wouldn't kill you. |
franugo:Barely is good enough for me, thank you very much! Lol. I just feel it would have been a lot better if he was tried in our country where his alleged crime was committed. Perhaps the Benchmark with which he was tried and arrested would have been used on the likes of OBJ, Still, Lucky Igbinedion, Orji uzor Kalu and all the other thieves. My point is that Ibori worked for his people. If that's the sort of corruption everywhere else in Naija, you and I would have been happy for it. He took bribe from I think vmobile to develop my state, in my opinion, that's by far better than the invasion of the middle east by the united states.. Pls don't ask me how that relates to what we are talking about. |
franugo:Paddy you see you have a big problem? You can't read between the lines. I have to explain every little thing to you... A wise man once told me not to argue with fools because people from a distance can't tell who is who. Perhaps if you had tried to answer that question, you would see where our country has failed. Learn to do things for yourself, don't wait for God or other people to help you. If you still don't get my drift then your matter Na home problem. Call your aunty and beg her to release you. |
franugo:We Nigerians are so funny. I know you need to be enlightened, but I honestly don't know where to start. Our President confirmed to the world that YOU GUYS are criminals. I bet you saw the kind of backlash he got. I thought the backlash was very funny because you guys constantly do the same by Putting our country down. Now imagine what would happen if an American or Russian former governor was arrested in Nigeria or anywhere in the world... Perhaps you think they are not corrupt as well right? If there is any justice in the world, George Bush should spend the rest of his life in prison for his crimes in the middle east but where is he? Get this into your head, there is corruption everywhere in the world, the difference here is that Ibori worked for his people, he delivered on his promises but then Nigeria let him down. Europe was built partly on the sweat of black African slaves, was that fair? Do you get the picture? |

You can't blame them.. Despite the tremendous resources in their community, they didn't see any development whatsoever till he came into power. How dare you call them myopic or backwards when they were only showing appreciation for someone who tried to add some value to their lives? Mind you, So many people did worse and did NOTHING for their people yet they are celebrated like superstars.. |
![]() wirinet:I'm glad you asked this.. Was it not the same period he was governor we had Obj and Atiku as President and vice? Can you say with all sense of sincerity that Ibori was more corrupt than these two? Isn't it natural that I'd feel upset, knowing fully well how much Ibori did for my state? It is not a surprise that a lot of people in the grassroots sing his praise even while he is Jail while the same can't be said of his under performing predecessors. In my opinion, Obj and Atiku should forever hide their faces in shame because they had such a golden opportunity to set our dear country in its highest pedestal, but they chose to enrich themselves and set the corruption ball rolling in Nigeria's Fourth Republic. I don't know about you, but in the streets where I'm from, everyone loves a Robin Hood.. |
ohenhen1:Paddy the joke is on your ignorance... Ibori is corrupt yet he worked 100% more for his people than Lucky Igbinedion, Emmanuel Oduagha and almost evey other Nigerian Governor. Yet they all walk free and he is in jail... Who be mumu? |
sayyid:Na dem collect pass for the whole world |
wirinet:They are saying his arrest and prosecution was a set up by the powers that be (Nigerian and British Government) he was a rising star in Nigeria's politics, they had to cut him down.. The truth of the matter is that the man worked and loved his people, Obj and Atiku would never know what that means.. Obj slept with his sons wife for god's sake!!! |
Thieving billionaires like Atiku and Obj sit and dine with our President while Ibori the lion of Delta, the man who brought electricity, foreign investors, employment and also tared the roads in my thick village is sent to rot in Britain... I Dey London Dey enjoy steady electricity while my mum who is a teacher in ugbolu village in Delta (oyel money) state hasn't had power for Over 1 year, what a shame... It wouldn't have ever happened in the time of the odidigborigbo of africa. |
Free Ibori, the best governor delta state ever produced. |
lekanafo:Can anyone tell me why no other governor has achieved half of what Ibori did for Delta state? Nigerians should learn to read between the lines. |
This is a very dangerous trend.. Unnamed senators making serious allegations. This is a joke. There has to be some sort of punishment for spreading Spurious allegations. Our ministry of Information and national orientation actually has a lot of work to do... Nigerians should be able to discern and distinguish between credible information and Information meant to destabilize our Government. |
Shame on our educational system for not teaching kids about our very rich History.. Our history seems to be rubbish and swept aside while the myths and stories of the Oyinbo man is key. We prefer to hear stories of how the world was created in 6 days and how Moses parted the red sea with his rod... Haha, what a joke! |
How many strokes koboko would you get for toasting her? |
Nigerian history should be thought in schools... Every Nigerian should know their indigenous story of creation. In as much as we like to be told that the world was created in 7days, every one needs to know we had an equally incredible story of how the world was formed. |
Anyone in doubt should please visit the British Museum and see for themselves the very rich display of Bini art and cultural history. 90% of Nigerian artifacts are from the great Benin kingdom. Oba gha tokpe. |
OPCNAIRALAND:Like you rightly said, he is the son of the Oba, the son of Ogiso, who was the very first Oba, Simples.. |
They need a bit of gym time. |
The new Orji is here... God have mercy on Abia people. |
GMan650:Yak is one of EPL greatest players.. He scored over100 goals. I'd say he is a goal machine. Show some respect |
Against the run of play... |
Has anyone else noticed that since Ibori left office or got arrested if you like, Delta state has been on a steady downward spiral? Could it be the agenda of some meschievious northerners to keep Delta state in the dark? |
Tompolo and all the militants could have been my Hero's, if only their fight was to get our oyel wells back from the Abokis. With all our wealth, No Niger Delta person and indeed Nigerian deserves to suffer.. |
Ibori na man ooh.. The difference between him and the last two Delta Governors is that we could actually see and feel his handwork in our lives. whereas our current government dey play the more you look the less you see. |
Only positive from this is that the Igbos would have no choice but to repackage themselves and show their true genius. Every disappointment is a blessing |
Deblow:I don't even live in Nigeria. This is how you guys go about making silly statements, blinding yourselves from the truth. Nigeria is in deep mess of which ignorance is the highest of all.. May God help you |
There is indeed a massive propaganda machine in place in our country. God has blessed us but the mighty hands of corruption denies us of all the blessings attainable Every well meaning Nigerian should be able to see beyond the lies of our detractors. We need to stand by our president who happens to be the our only President who has actively fought against corruption. If his age and previous experience in power doesn't set him to purpose as far as liberating our country from corruption is concerned then may he never find peace in this life or the next. But till he is proven not to have the interest of the poor masses who have suffered for decades from the clutches of corruption, we all must stand beside him and lend our support for there are many temptations. God bless PMB, God bless SE/Niger Delta God bless Nigeria |
Responsible president.... If its faulty, just fix it!!! Nobody is perfect. Realising your mistake and making it right is the closest we can get to perfection. |
