Human beings like to fantasize about perfection and heaven was one of those fantasies that has persisted but just as you are seeing the concept is an incomprehensible one that anybody who thinks a little about it will be repulsed but the religious garb around it prevents any real push back. The mere idea of an unchanging eternal existence should be repulsive to the human mind because humans are conditioned by change to anticipate and compensate for change, an existence where nothing changes is going to warp the human mind in ways I think will lead to insanity.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God has "put eternity in our hearts".
That verse alone contradicts your statement.
Humans were always destined to grasp the concept of eternity.
If Adam and Eve hadn't eaten the fruit, then humans would have.
Humans were always meant to live forever. Death just came in later as punishment for disobedience. (Romans 5:12; 6:23)
God says that soon He will "swallow up death forever". (Isa. 25:8 ).
Death will be brought to nothing (1Cor. 15:26; Rev. 21:4).

Do better research.
Christianity EtcRe: I Dont Want To Go To Heaven by BadPanda:
Ken4Christ:
We humans are also spirit beings but with physical body sustained by blood.
Take note in the account of the creation of man at Gen. 2:7 God brought man up from the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the "breath of life".
We see that the only external thing that was given to the first man that is ever recorded is the "breath of life".
And take note of this twist. It then says:
"And the man became a living person"
The original Hebrew translation to that is "living soul".
In other words, "man became a living soul". Not that man has a soul. But man is a soul.
This "soul" in the scripture portray that:
-The soul is not a spirit but the man himself with the body that God created from dust.
-The soul can die as the verse stresses the phrase "living soul".
More evidence to support that is found at
Ezekiel 18:4&20 where it says plainly:
"...the soul who sins is the one who will die."
There are many, many Bible references that prove that the soul is not immortal. It can die. It is the man himself.
Take a few:
Gen.19:19,20; Nu.23:10; Jg. 5:18; 16:16,30; Matt. 2:20; 26:38; John 2:5 Acts 3:23.

All these scriptures at the very least show what the people who spoke it understood about the word "soul" and "spirit".
The soul is very mortal and can die because it is of course the man himself.
The spirit is God's being along with all creatures living in the spirit realm. They would need spirit bodies. Flesh and blood (and bones obviously) can't enter heaven.

This misunderstanding was first held by the pagans like the Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks and Romans who believed in life after death.
God's servants of old did not believe that doctrine. (Psalms 146:4; Eccl. 9:5,6)
It was later when philosophies from people like Plato, Aristotle, Socrates and others infiltrated the Christian Congregation about the Second Century C.E, that such teachings and many others became more rampant.
(Col. 2:8; Heb.13:9).
Jesus and the apostles warned about this. (Matt. 24:11; 1Tim 4:1; 2Peter 2:1)
Do thorough research on your teaching so as not to be misled.

Jesus already shed his blood. So, his new body is sustained by the Spirit of life and not by blood.

We too will receive the same glorified body after resurrection.
Then I ask again, where is proof of such concept?
Bible portions?
You need solid proof.

capnies:
AS HUMANS WITH GLORYFIED BODIES. A BODY THAT CAN PASS THROUGH WALLS OR DECIDE TO PASS THROUGH THE DOOR. JUST LIKE JESUS WHEN GE RESURRECTED
Jesus was not the only one spoken of that can do supernatural things. Remember the angels sent to Abraham and Lot. (Genesis 18 & 19)
You can say their bodies behaved the same way the resurrected Jesus' did. (The Bible calls them men. Look it up).
Though being angels, they adopted physical bodies so that other people can see them. Hey they even ate and drank with the bodies. But when the corrupt people of Sodom threatened to rape them, the angels went out and struck them with blindness.
And after completing their mission, they obviously reverted back to spirit form and left. Just as Jesus did.

It does not mean that all humans will then have human bodies that can walk through walls. You have to be a spirit to do so and after Jesus' resurrection, he was ready to present the value of his blood, the ransom sacrifice that would save mankind from sin and death. Thus he had a spirit body ready for him when it was time for him to go to meet his Father.
In the future, when God's servants pass through the Great Tribulation and i Armageddon into the new world, they and those resurrected will live on earth with flesh, bones and blood.
This was the hope of many faithful servants of God in ancient times like Job in Job 33:24,25:

"Then God shows him favor and says,
'Spare him from going down into the grave!
I have a ransom!
Let his FLESH become fresher than in youth;
Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor'".

King David too had faith in such promises.
He said in Psalms 37:11,29
"But the meek will possess the earth,
And they will live find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
...And they will live forever on it."

And notice that Acts 2:34 says that "David did not ascend to the heavens" after he died.
He's waiting along with the rest of the dead for Jesus' "voice" so he will "come out" to the resurrection of life.
Genesis says that God saw the body that he created for humans and every other thing that he created and saw that it was "good".
If something is good, then why remove it for another body?
The only reason that we have sickness and so much medical complications in the human body, and ultimately death is because of the sin of our first parents.
Romans 5:12 says at through Adam sin entered into the world and death through sin. And it spread to all men.
Our bodies are built to live on forever. Ask scientists, they'll tell you. The issue is the curse that we all inherited. Once removed through Jesus ransom sacrifice, there will be nothing stopping us from living on forever.
Wetin blood do God wey Him no need am again?
When you say "Humans with glorified bodies", you better have a good scripture or scriptures to back that up.
Christianity EtcRe: I Dont Want To Go To Heaven by BadPanda:
Michael547:
Ok....so if Jesus was not a spirit, how was he able to appear and disappear from the midst of his disciples and even enter into a locked room? Why do his disciples not readily recognize him anytime he appears to them?
Jesus could dematerialize into spirit form and materialize into human form at will. Likely he got this ability especially after his resurrection. Maybe he did have it all along but with no use cases for it except maybe the time at a synagogue in Nazareth when people tried to kill Jesus but he escaped.(Luk. 4:28-30). Just saying, but he could have used a more cunning method
Thus he could move through physical objects at will. The disciples could not see him coming.

As to why they couldn't recognize him, he appeared to them in a human form that they couldn't recognize, either that or he just shielded them from recognizing him. Maybe with a hoodie or more supernatural means. He can definitely do that.
Either way he obviously made sure that in the end they would know who it was and this gave his disciples a memorable reaction.
Christianity EtcRe: I Dont Want To Go To Heaven by BadPanda:
@Ken4Christ

"Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not FLESH AND BONES, as ye see me have.

Jesus told Thomas Dydimus that he has flesh and bones. That he is not a spirit."

This, you explained perfectly. Jesus was differentiating between a spirit person and a human. The disciples were frightened and thought they had just seen a spirit. Jesus said a spirit does not have flesh and bones. But he does.

Then you said;

"The resurrected body is not sustained by blood. It is sustained by the very life of God."

What scriptural reference work did you get this statement from?
How the resurrected body is no longer sustained by Blood but by God's spirit, where did you see that in your Bible?

And what of the "flesh" in the "flesh and bones"?
1Cor.15:50 says that "FLESH and BLOOD cannot inherit God's Kingdom".
From what you are saying it may mean that we will all have to be walking around in skeletons. (joking tho grin )

"We too will no longer have blood after resurrection. But we will have flesh and bones. As such we are no longer ordinary humans but supernatural being sustained with the very life of God."

You have not given any scripture to back up the claim.
That verse alone cannot hold all these statements that you just made.

When Jesus said "Flesh and Bones", it obviously includes blood. You have heard of other instances where this phrase is also used to emphasize the person's physical existence.
"I saw him in Flesh and Bones!!!".

What do you think Jesus' listeners - the disciples - understood from that statement?
"

Humans have flesh and blood.
If you want to inherit God's kingdom in heaven, you are to no longer be a human.

And I'll point you to Isa. 33:24
"No resident will say 'I am sick' "
In chapter 65:20-25
It shows what blessings God's people will enjoy on this earth. Like building houses, planting, bearing children, and animals playing together and living in peace.
All these will happen to those who have the earthly hope that Jesus promises at Matthew 5:5

@BadPanda i never told you not to read your bible. Bible is not scripture. Scripture is the word of God in the pure language inspired by God. Bible is a plagiarisation of scripture by those who hijacked the coded Hebrew scripts that can only be interpreted by Hebrews - Isaiah 44:7. Your bible is inspired by men not God. Nobody read bible even in the NT days. They study scripture. I never said don't read. What you have today is bible not scripture. Their are many things to learn their. I also read.

I only told you to be guided by the spirit of God within. You can read bible but your spirit is in coma. Others might read a little or nothing but theirs is alive. If you are of those of light your spirit will always be alive. It is not those who read bible but those who are led by the spirit of God that are called sons of God

Many of you think everything is all about your religion - chrislamjew but you will be humbled to know that many that are called or chosen separate themselves from your religions
But when you say that the Bible is uninspired, that is clear wrong.
One reason for that is that the Scriptures you're talking about were not all written in Hebrew. Some, like Esther and some other books written by prophets were originally written in Aramaic, Arabic and even Syrian.
Why would you say that only Hebrew should be the only language that everyone young and old, literate and illiterate should read before they can come to an accurate knowledge of God?
What authentic source of information have you heard that from?
There is no "Scripture" that says that.
The main reason I asked that is because during the time of the apostles and the early Christian Congregation, the main language used then was Greek, as our universal language today is English and thus, the scriptures were needed to be translated to Greek for better circulation. The New Testament was originally written mainly in Greek. The scriptures at that time were read aloud in the congregation in Greek for he benefit of the Gentiles present.
Did the apostles at that time not know any better that the scriptures MUST strictly be read in Hebrew as it is, as you say the "Scripture is the word of God in the pure language inspired by God" - Hebrew - and must only be interpreted in Hebrew.
The Christian Congregation was chosen by God as the new "Holy Nation" after the Jews rejected God's Son. So they must have every way of knowing that Hebrew is strictly the only language that God's word should be read from. Yet they chose Greek to write their Letters and Gospels and Revelations.
Heck even Revelations, the very one that shows God and Jesus and Angels talking in John's visions, such holy sayings were written in such an "inferior" language as Greek. Have you read where God told John,:

"Write these sacred sayings in Hebrew for any other language is impure and not fit for the preserving my word."?

God never said that.
Instead God said to John in Revelation 20:5b
"... Write for these words are faithful and true."
Showing that God approved of the language.
In fact a similar thing is said to Daniel at
Dan. 12:4 :
"... Keep the words secret and seal up the book until the time of the end."
Guess which language Daniel was written in.
Aramaic.
What does this mean then? It does not matter as to which language the word of God is written in. But the content of the message that is written.
Daniel 12:4 later says that in the time of the end - the last days - many will thoroughly examine the book and "the true knowledge will become abundant."
If God wanted true knowledge to become abundant, why would he reserve it to only one language that barely 5% of the world's population knows about?
God's will is that all sorts of people should come to an accurate knowledge of truth and be saved (1Timothy2:4).
What should they do to come to an Accurate knowledge of truth and be saved? Read the scriptures in Hebrew?
No. Jesus said at John 17:3
That coming to know God and Christ is the way that we can gain everlasting life.
And verse 3 says that God's word is truth.

Romans 15:4 shows that all these things written beforehand were written for our instruction.
Jehovah is teaching us to benefit ourselves (Isa.48:17)

He has given us everything we need so as to be saved. He has led many faithful men and women of old like Prophets, Apostles, and Kings to write down instructions and directions on how to come to an accurate knowledge of the truth. And He even made sure they are compiled together in one Book we call the Bible (which originally means "Books" in Greek).
And is now available to literally everyone everywhere.

You cannot call that plagiarism.
The "pure language" in Zephaniah 3:9 does not support your claim.
God said He will change every people's language to become one pure language.
This has two fulfillments.
First is figurative. Where everyone serving Jehovah worship Him together with one belief, one doctrine. Thus one "pure language".
Then there is the literal sense where Jehovah could change everyone's language to start speaking one "pure language". This would happen in God's new world when He has rid the earth of badness.

Hebrew may likely have been the original language spoken by Adam and Eve, Noah, Shem, Abraham and his descendants. And may be the language that God will change back to. But that does not mean that God cannot use a totally different language. Because what makes Hebrew "pure" and Greek impure?
The Hebrew that was spoken in the past kept changing to be more modernised as it were from century to century. Thus, the Hebrew Noah spoke can have very slight variations from that of say Prophet Micah. This affected the writing of different scriptures. And it is very very true in Modern Hebrew of today.

Bottom line,
Language is not the point. It is the message that it conveys.
The Bible was written by men inspired by God. (2Tim3:16). But that the Bible, whether Hebrew or Greek should have never been translated as you imply is directly in conflict with God's will for everyone to come to an accurate knowledge of Him and his Son.
The Bible's message was translated by men who did not have God's inspiration to different languages for everyone to read. But that does not mean that they did not receive God's backing.
Check the Guinness Book of Records and check which book is the most translated and widely distributed book.

The Bible.

You ppl always want to see things in your bible before you believe but never knew how your bible was translated by the enemies of Hebrews and they wrote how they understand and even added their own words cos they want to control. Only the Hebrews were given the keys to decode the mysteries in the book - Isaiah 44:7. Be guided by the spirit within not by books. Be led by it

Terbanacle could mean a temple or a body. When the temple of God is restored and his ppl, He will bring his presence. If He bring his presence his angels will also be present

But what i meant is that their are angels in human form here. The Messiah and his friend are here in a body. A masquerade will only go out in his season. Once it is his time, he is illuminated. They also will be illuminated. The eagles will only gather where the carcass is.
You are inferring that we should in effect leave the Bible and focus on "the spirit within". That sounds counterproductive because the one way we christians have come to know God is through reading of the Bible. 1 Timothy 3:16 says that all scripture is inspired of God and is beneficial for teaching, reproving, setting things straight, and for disciplining in righteousness. This same Inspired book you say we do not need to rely on.
In case you never knew, this Bible was written and compiled through the help of God's Holy Spirit in what took about 4000 years to complete.
This book contains prophesies which all have been fulfilled in great accuracy to the amazement of great Bible scholars. And still has prophesies leading up to our day and those yet to be fulfilled.
The Bible has survived for very many centuries through Holy Spirit direction. It has survived wars and threats to destruction, many have died in order to translate this Book and hand it to the common people to read. It is mankind's single greatest book.
Do you think this book is here for story book?
God made sure that this Bible can be available to everyone for everyone to read it. Check the stats, the Bible is the world's most translated and distributed book.
Guineas World Records recognizes this.

Who ever gave you the idea that everyone needs to learn Hebrew first before they can understand the Bible. You obviously haven't done proper research on that matter, because if you did, you would realize that God wants all sorts of people from every nation, tribe and Language to come to an accurate knowledge of Him and His son Jesus (1 Timothy 2:4; John 17:3).
Did you ever hear where God's word itself said that the only true way to read and understand it is to only read it in Hebrew?
Where in the Bible have you seen such spurious text?
That is counterproductive.

You would rather leave God's gift to you, His "instruction manual" to you, and use your "spirit within"?
1Cor.4:6 warns us not to go beyond the things written. This one that you're even encouraging leaving it patapata and following spirit inside of you. Please take your time o.
1Cor.13:8-13 shows that the people who really needed the spirit you may be referring to - the gift of knowledge - were the early Christian Congregation. As they were starting new, they needed those gifts so as to help them preach the good news of God's Kingdom and grow the congregation. But, as verse 10 says, when that which is complete comes, it will all be done away with, because we don't need it anymore than a man needs breast milk.
Because hat knowledge you were looking for, the Bible calls partial knowledge.
Like looking at a blurry metal mirror. That which is complete will be as if face to face.
And we now have that which is complete.
God's word. Accounts of His faithful servants of old written for us living in the last days.
Romans 15:4 shows that all these things written before hand were written for our instruction. According to Daniel 12:4,9; the scriptures were kept and sealed up until the "time of the end" - the last days - our time. And that the knowledge will become abundant.
And yes the knowledge is abundant, but not for those without insight. They still keep chasing after partial knowledge till they don't know when they started speaking of their own originality and end up going beyond the things written and even blaspheme God's word.
God gives his Holy Spirit to those who want to learn more about him through the Bible to help them understand it.
If you want God's spirit to guide you through that part,
-go to a clean and peaceful surrounding,
-take up your Bible and research tool,
-claim a respectful posture and pray, silently asking God to give you the spirit to grant you the motivation, desire and patience to read and understand His word.
-Then read and meditate on it.

That is how God's spirit flows, peaceful, serene. Not AI3;8HRODK#+2*=`[€
That is not God's spirit.
It is more likely the Devil's.

Does the tabernacle of God been with men suggest that angels will come to earth to live? If yes, please show me where in the bible.
No it clearly doesn't. It should be taken symbolically. God does not have to move heaven and earth just to show that the "tabernacle of God is with men". It can still be right where it is and still "be with men".
Angels are not leaving their assigned place of dwelling to live here on earth.
We all know what happened the last time that happened (Genesis 6:2) grin
After God created everything in the universe he looked back and saw it was good.
This universe, our earth with all the trees and nature have not done anything to hurt Jehovah. And certainly not Heaven. It is the People. They are "ruining the earth" (Rev.11:18).

What do you do when there's a bad tenant in your house?
Freaking destroy the house and build another one?
No. Send the unrepentant tenant quit notice and evict such rascal.

The same way God is not going to destroy heaven and earth, build a new one, and then bring one on top of the other so that angels can live on earth. That's just silly.
Instead as Revelation 11:18 says, God will "bring to ruin those ruining the earth". God will put an end to the rebellion that was instigated in Eden and clean up the mess they caused. Thus bringing forth or "making a new heaven and a new earth". The "former heavens" or rulership and the "former earth", the wicked system and it's people. Will be done away with.
Daniel 2:44 says that those in opposition to God's Kingdom, the new heaven and earth will be crushed.

The Bible never said in anywhere that just 144,000 people would make Heaven. Please read the Bible yourself and stop quoting the gossips of your buddies. I've known this particular scripture since 10 years old and I understood from the get-go that the scripture didn't imply just 144,000 people making Heaven

Revelation 14:3 and 7:3,4 tells us that there will be a shortlist of people chosen to be with Christ in heaven. 144,000 people!!! shocked shocked shocked

144,000 is simply the amount of persons for that last age that was reaped by the Angel and chosen specially by God to follow Jesus everywhere because they attained Christlikeness. Virgins, no deceit or dishonesty, no lies, spotless and blameless in behavior and as a result they attained Christlikeness

Revelation 7 vs 9 : Then implies the number of those that attained Salvation across the world. Billions upon billions would make Heaven despite it's standard. Stop misinforming people please
I see that you've done your research.
We can agree that the 144,000 people have a special role to play in God's Kingdom in relation to Christ Jesus. And that the Great Crowd of people are separate from the 144,000 and are those who survived the Great Tribulation.

But please consider this with me...
Rev 14:4 says that in order to be among the shortlist they will have not defiled themselves, Virgins, as it may and unblemished.
Do you know that the Bible also shows how just about anyone could fit this criteria?
Isaiah 1:18 shows that in order to become "white" clean, unblemished as it were, all you need to do is go to Jehovah God in prayer and set things straight with Him. Through the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ, this is made even more possible. Thus, even a hardened criminal can find it possible to meet the criteria as long as he is Cleansed (forgiven) and the sins "blotted out" and "forgotten". Thus becoming Virgins. Proverb shows that the end is better than the beginning. So do God's will till the end and if God chose you that shows that you are qualified to join the shortlist.

In other words you don't have to be a virgin to be among the 144,000. As you know, when reading the book of Revelation, you cannot take everything in a literal sense. More are symbolic or figurative.
These are the people that were chosen by Jehovah to rule as kings and priests with his son Jesus. (Revelation 20:4c,6)

More proof, when Jesus had his last meal with his disciples, before his death, in Luke 22:29,30; Jesus made a new covenant with his disciples for a kingdom that they will share with him in ruling.
And Luke 12:32 Jesus calls those who will rule with him "little flock".
John 10:16 shows the many millions of people who are not part of the "little sheep" and calls them the "other sheep".

It is like Nigeria now, we have the capital city Abuja. This is the center for political affairs of the country. The political arrangement is made up of elected Representatives from different parts of the country, to serve the President and the State in ministering. They are made up of about 4000 members. This is what makes the country function as a country.

So too, under God's kingdom, Representatives are chosen from different parts of the Globe. And they will represent the Earth as it were as and Rev. 20:6 says, rule as kings and priests.

The others which are called the great crowd in Rev. 7:9 are said to be standing before the throne and the Lamb just as Hebrews 12:18-24 shows the Israelites on Mount Sinai approaching "the city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem, and myriads of angels". Thus indicating that standing before the throne and the Lamb does not necessarily mean they have to go to heaven first. The same way you don't have to go to Abuja to stand before the President in 1st October.
The saying should be taken in a figurative sense.

He truth is my friend, the earth, this physical universe, has always been our destined home and you cannot change that because God does not change, nor does he lie. Isa. 55:11 says that purpose he sends out will not come back without result. It will find true success.
Isa. 45:18 shows that Jehovah did not create this earth simply for nothing, but made it to be inhabited.
Psalms 104:5 and Ecclesiastes 1:4 says that the earth is not going anywhere. This earth will remain forever. And, as God originally purposed since Adam and Eve, we will continue to fill the earth and subdue it until God's purpose is fulfilled.
So, the many millions of people still living have that hope in mind.
And the many billions of people who are already dead are waiting for Jesus' voice when he will finally do what John 5:28,29 said.
When they are resurrected to the new world, they - all those who did not get the chance to know and worship God will finally get that chance to do so. Imagine those that lived when the Europeans never came to Africa. They'll finally get that chance. And this time, no opposition from Satan and his Demons. Because as Daniel 2:44 says, God's Kingdom will stand forever.

This is because your idea of heaven comes from the bible.
Dude the Bible is the book that God gave us as a way in which we can come to know Him. 1Tim 3:16 says that this Book is inspired of God and has the credentials to guide us his servants. It definitely can be used as a true source of getting to know what heaven is. Any other sources are clearly unauthentic as none of them were divinely inspired. The problem is that many philosophers and those who don't know better infiltrated the congregation and started trying to mix God's word with their philosophies and even pagan traditions. This the doctrines and beliefs such as heaven as you know it is tainted. With false teachings of people like Aristotle, Plato and Socrates.
But even at that, when you read the Bible without putting any of the doctrines, whatever it may be, and praying for God's spirit, even a short, quiet prayer is enough with the right motive in mind; you will come and understand the truth.

You know my dear, if you looked a little deeper into the Bible, you will realize that many people who Dream, Disney world fantasize about going to heaven will be very shocked to realize that they never even stood a chance of entering heaven.
Revelation 14:3 and 7:3,4 tells us that there will be a shortlist of people chosen to be with Christ in heaven. 144,000 people!!! shocked shocked shocked
Read it yourself and really ask yourself if you would make the cut.
And who told you that people who go to heaven will just be dancing and singing praises forever? Though singing praises is the norm in heaven (and even with God's creation on earth), that is far from he only thing that they will do there.
Revelation 20:6 says that they will "be priests of God and of Christ, and they will rule as kings with him for 1000 years".
That obviously means that those going to heaven will have a lot on their plate when they ascend to heaven. (Good and satisfying work I presume grin )
In Matthew 20:23, Jesus said that the decision to choose who will go to heaven is not in his hands but in his Father's.
So please don't worry about if you're going to enjoy heaven or not. You likely won't make it. tongue
But hey, don't fret. Acts 2:34 says that even King David, the man agreable to God's heart did not go to Heaven.
Heck, John 3:13 tells us that as of the time that Jesus was speaking, no man has ascended into heaven, not even ABRAHAM has gone to heaven except for the one who came down from heaven, Jesus Christ.
You may wonder then, 'where are the rest of the good people going to? Hell??'
There are many Bible portions that tell us exactly where good people are going and I encourage you to do your own research on the matter and check only authentic sources to find it.
But I'm not going far, just read Proverbs 2:21, Psalms 37:9,11&29.
There they show exactly where the good or meek people will be: On Earth. "And they will live forever on it".
Jesus himself confirms it in Matthew 5:5 where he said that the meek will inherit the Earth. Jesus even called those who will inherit the Earth happy. shocked
So in case you're not that interested in Heaven, know that you still have a great chance to enjoy life, not on this wicked system of things ruled by Satan the Devil, but in the Cleansed world that God promises to have us inherit that is ruled and priested by God's Son and his 144,000 priests and co-rulers.
Do you know what grand blessings will await those there?
Isaiah 65:20-25; 25:8; 33:24; John 5:28
And many other Bible portions point to what enjoyment we will see when God's Government comes and rules the earth.
Read the Bible yourself.
If you don't see it in the God's word the Bible, it's deception.

[quote author=Gafferde post=126558697]For me, I don’t know why people fantasize about going to heaven.

To sing, and worship forever? No day, no night, no improvements, no growth, no need for food, no sex, no pain, no motivation, nothing… just an unending sessions of people wearing whites garments singing around.

Sing for the first 10 years. Not tiring. Then sing another 2956 billion years. Nothing special. It sounds robotic and monotonous.

Heaven doesn’t sound like anything interesting to me.

Of course, I would change my stance if I see a better explanation. But for now… the description of heaven is.."

Christianity EtcIs Jesus God Or A God? by BadPanda(op): 12:25am On Oct 24, 2023
John 1:1–2 tells us that the “Word” was “with the GOD” in the beginning, but it does not say that the Word was “the GOD.” (Why not re-examine a Greek-English Interlinear Translation of John:1: vss 1–2+18.

Although the Bible teaches that there are many Gods (1 Corinthians 8:5–6) … the Bible teaches that there is only one true Almighty God Jehovah and he is the Creator and “GOD of Gods” … (Genesis 17:1 and Deuteronomy 10:17, Joshua 22:22) so, this means that he is greater than lesser “gods.” Compare Psalm 136:2; Daniel 2:47 and 11:36; Psalm 82:1-7 and 95:3. Other spirit creatures, the angels, are called “gods” in the Hebrew language in Psalm 8:4-6, but often translated into English as “angels" (KJV) or as “heavenly beings” (NIV). Compare Hebrews 2 :5-9. These ‘angels’ are also referred to as “sons of God." See Job 1:6; 2:1 and 38:7. Jesus is > a son of God, in fact, he is the uniquely-begotten Son of God, as Firstborn in the beginning. But, his heavenly Father never had a beginning, because He has always existed in all past eternity. Psalm 90:2, & 93:2.

John 1:1-2 says that the Word was ‘with God’ …in the beginning. See also John 1:18. Can you explain this verse 18 with parts A & B? Well, Try part B first and then see what happens when you explain part A. Try it both ways.

(The Bible's original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek Scriptures did not have capital letters and small letters... Only one size. Written manuscripts later had upper and lower case letters, and were used since the invention of the printing press about 1500 A.D. So, religious leaders, monks, priests, scribes and theologians and Bible editors made the choices for either ‘God’ or ‘god.’)

Do you have your Bible handy? Do you have access to a Greek-English “New Testament" either as an interlinear version or a parallel-column edition? You can go online. Examine John 1:1-2. Why aren't the 2 words for “God" spelled the same in Greek? How come the Greek text indicates that “the Word was with the God" …but it does NOT say that “the Word was the God.”.huh

Who has looked up the texts at John 1:18 and John 17:1-6 and 20 :17.huh and 1 John 4:12? …and is now ready to comment with a correct remark.?

Who did Jesus pray to? Compare Luke 23:34 and vs 46, and Matthew 27:46.

Jesus has brothers, Hebrews 2:11-17. But, does Almighty God have brothers.? Jesus said we should pray to ‘our Father in heaven,’ Matt. 6:9.

Does the Father pray to anyone? …Um, Jesus prayed to someone higher than himself. If Jesus was God, would he pray to anyonehuh

Who can explain the difference between “Almighty God" the Father (Genesis 17:1) and “Mighty God the son”huh (Isaiah 9:6)

Who knows the definition of the term “firstborn” and the co-relation between Colossians 1:15-19 and Hebrews 1:1–6.?? Was Almighty God ever “born.?” The words “firstborn son” may indicate that other “sons” came later. See Job chapter 1: vs 6; and 38: vss 4–7.

What about 1 Timothy 2:5-6 that says that Jesus is “the Mediator between God and mankind.”? So , who is above and who is in the middle?+

Why do many Bible versions, including yours, insert the expression “a god” at Acts 28:6 and Exodus 7:1.? (The original languages do not have the expression “a god” in these texts.)

Is any “son" the same age as his “father.huh” (so, which one existed first.? …and who came later? Is the Father really the ‘twin-brother’ to Jesus as co-equal?) The word ‘twinity' is not in any Bible verse.

How come the word “trinity" (3 in 1) is not in any Bible manuscript-texts (Greek or Latin) for the past 2,000 years or ever beforehuh

Since God's personal name has been removed more than 6,000 times in modern Bibles, people have re-focused their attention to another name, Jesus, used about 900 times in the Christian Scriptures. So people have been misled to misunderstand a famous name (Jesus) “under heaven" in Acts 4:12, but far above, … way up in heaven… there is a greater Name: JEHOVAH the Most High. See Psalm 83:18 (KJV).

So, can you compare your other Bible with the King James Version at Genesis 22:14, Exodus 17:15, Judges 6:24, Psalm 83:18, Isaiah 12:2-5 and Isaiah 26:4..huh So, Whose Name is being honored in these few references? Most other Bible versions have removed God's Divine Name, but they have kept the Devil's name in their revised Bibles.!

Finally, the Bible itself makes it clear that Almighty God created a son in his image who is identified as a “mighty God" in Isaiah 9:6. When the son was born on earth as a human he was lower than the angels, Hebrews 2:9. Then he was given a different name …”Jesus" which means in Hebrew “Jehovah is salvation.” These 2 persons are united in purpose “as one" but, they are not the same person. John 17:3–6. Jesus prayed that his apostles and future disciples would all become “one" with the Father in the sense of unity, … in agreement. --John 17:11, 20–23.

( P.S.) I hope these verses help you to understand more of what is in the Holy Bible. If… if… you look up all the verses cited above, it with take about 37 minutes, but it is well worth it. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL CURIOSITY.!)
