Didn't you watch the second leg of Atletico Madrid-Las Palmas?
Yes, I did.

Las Palmas is stronger than Eibar....X2 isn't bad too if one is skeptical about the game.

Jobs/VacanciesReasons Why Every 2.2 Graduate Shouldn't Feel Like A Failure by Bae026(op): 4:44pm On Sep 05, 2016
Hi guys,

I recently saw a post about a lady almost running mad because she graduated with a second class, lower division.

Maybe my story can help people with grades below 2.1.

My name is Timi John(not real name), I'm Male, a graduate from one of Nigeria's best varsity.

After graduating with a second class, lower division, I was not happy at all. Even to tell my parents seem very difficult, but I finally did, and they didn't kill me.

I started the hustle quickly, after service I left my comfort zone(parents house)...straight to Lagos the land of opportunities.

I remember very well, my first earning was 10,000 Naira (funny enough, I was paid the salary like I was selling something to the man...right on the road, he just counted 10k and said this was my pay for the previous month).

I took the money with joy, even though I knew I could have earned much more while at home with my parents.

It continued like that for several months, until I got another job with a big company, but through the back doors (Note: Back door pay are very crazy, almost nothing to show for it).

This company is big, no doubt...but as a graduate, I was told I would be paid 30k for a month with probation, then after six months if I perform fine, the pay will be raised.

That was how I became very serious with work, I did the job like I was paid heavily, even used my credit to call colleagues and supervisors, etc... After the awaited six months, my pay only increased with an additional 15k....so, literally, I earned 45,000 per month.

I didn't stop there, I kept Faith, Hope and Believe alive, I bought guardian newspaper every Tuesday, applied for any kind of job I saw (after-all, it was free applying electronically).

After about 2 years and 7months, I was still earning the same salary, I wanted to leave, but when I come to nairaland, I see how people talk about just getting something to do...I decided to stay.

Then my first real breakthrough came, I applied for a job I knew I wasn't qualified to even apply for, I remember it was an advert from guardian newspaper, but someone posted it here on Nairaland.

We wrote exams, did interview. Funnily, the pay per month was 5 times my salary, but the negative thing there was the job was a short one, three months job.

I had to take the risk, because I made the calculations...the pay was equivalent to a year salary of my then present job.

I started this new job, brothers and sisters of Nairaland, do you know this job only lasted for a month? I was paid my salary, and I had to go and hide myself...because friends were already jubilating my success story.

To cut the long story short, from that first break through one month job, I got another job, this one is bigger, better and it's good.

N.B: Never under estimate your little beginning....and always have a positive mind set.

Thank you guys.

Good Day Family.

Please I'm 28years old, and I've always told myself that when I get to this age, I should at least own a car.

Now, by the special Grace of God, I have about 300/350k in my account, can I buy a good and presentable car with this amount even with the dollar crisis?

Please I would love suggestions on which car can go for this money either here in Lagos or Cotonu.

Thanks family.

Game

Let me educate some of us (nairalanders) that have little or no idea on this betting tingy.

Life is gambling. Work is gambling, Falling in love/dating these are all gambling. Almost everything we indulge into happens to be gambling.

Now as a graduate, university, HND etc...you are entitled to using your head in all you do.

My story!
I earn 40k in my present work place, I live with friends...Lagos isn't friendly with transportation, feeding etc. So, I put 100/200..and I earn 60k in two days with loads of data usage/time consumption/ maximum calculations etc.. and someone is saying IT'S a SINhuh

Send your congratulatory messages... I won yesterday again and again.

ifegy:
*This is generally applicable information; you may need to modify it for your circumstances. For instance, if it's a really small, local airport dealing with just a few flights a day, things may not be as strict or structured as in a bigger, busier airport.

-Go to the airline website and check in for your flight online ahead of time, today or early tomorrow, if you can-- will save you time at the airport and possibly save you from not getting on board, if the flight is overbooked

-Print out your boarding pass so you know your flight number, departure time, boarding gate, boarding time (note: different from/earlier than departure time!)

-Head to the airport early. Give yourself time to get there about a couple of hours before the flight, at least. You never know what might happen with traffic, or when you get there, especially since you haven't done this before

-Don't forget your passport/travel ID (since it's a local flight you might not need a passport)

-Head to the check in counter for your airline, at the airport; get a luggage tag for any luggage you're checking in (i.e., anything that's not hand luggage) and drop off the checked luggage there. Try not to over-pack your checked or hand luggage, or you might have issues with overweight luggage.

-Go through security. There should be signs directing you to where this is. Or just ask. You may have to take off shoes, coats, etc; so bear that in mind when dressing- wear stuff that's easy-on-easy-off

-No liquids or gels in your hand luggage unless they're really small (for international flights, at least; not sure if that applies to domestic)

-Keep a eye on your stuff as it passes through security (if it has to go through an x-ray machine, for instance); you want to make sure everything that goes in, comes out

-No metals in your pocket (keys, jewellery) in case you have to pass through a body scanner while passing through security. Metal will beep, and you may have to undergo another scan

-Find your gate. There is normally a counter around tehre. Sit close to that counter so you can see and hear clearly when boarding is announced-- the speaker system may not be optimal.

-If you think you'll be hungry, you can take stuff like snack bars, chocolate bars, granola bars (not sure if that's available there)-- basically, stuff like that is not likely to be confiscated. There may or may not be places to get food once you get past security (eg if the airport is really small). You'll have to get water once you get past security, though.

-Get on board (hopefully flight is not delayed). Put your hand luggage in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. Fasten your seat belt. Listen to the safety instructions. Enjoy the flight!

Hope this helps!

Wow... I thank all of you, especially Ifegy..for the informations. I did as instructed..and I never acted like a novice. It was really a great flight.

Money well spent.

Thank you again.

CelebritiesV-to The Viper VECTOR Takes It To Chidimma (photo) by Bae026(op): 6:53am On Mar 10, 2015
It is no new news that LOVE is the greatest achievement in any human life.

Rumour mongers did say Flavour was dating Chidimma the MTN Project Fame Winner.

But as at today, the gist on board clearly shows Chidimma and Vector have been keeping it a low key love relationship.

Now, Vector decided to make it official and public. HE PROPOSES TO CHIDIMMA....and she said YES.

Congrats babe.

Nairalanders, we must one day all get married and make our families proud.

TravelA Nairalander's First Ever Awaiting Flight: Things To Do. by Bae026(op): 8:37pm On Mar 07, 2015
Good day Nairalanders. I have been a guest on this social platform for a very long time.

I love the family in general.

My story!

I have never seen an airport physically, talk more entering a plane.
Now I've been graced with an opportunity of entering one. My sister just booked a flight ticket for me (Local Flight).

So friends, please I need general information on everything about flying....starting from waking up...till my destination.

Please, am I to print out the flight information sent to my email address? Do they search people like terrorists(pulling of shoes and all that)? Can I snap pictures before takeoff? Am I entitled to any refreshment?

Flight is tomorrow, 16:00. Thank you.
