You are not alone. The mail was sent during the week to calm tempers as this ban on travel has been in place since 18 March 2020. I suggest you put booking your flight on hold and keep yourself posted with news on IRCC website. Hopefully the ban would be eased.

My PR has been confirmed and I've received my COPR and Permanent resident visa.
the expiry date on the visa is the 20th of August 2021.

I was planning on booking my flight to Canada for the 1st week of June

I guess this means that I shouldn't bother booking the flight?

and apparently it seems that there's been this whole thing going on with the travel restrictions and people being unable to land, which i had no idea about until now.

I feel really out of touch as I completed this whole process by myself and by checking forums for answers to any doubts i had.

so please if anyone can refer me to any groups for people who are waiting to land in Canada or if someone is interested in starting a group like that please contact me , so at least we can keep ourselves informed on any changes

Recently, as at yesterday and today, Egypt Air, Ethiopian Air, KLM, Turkish Air are not allowing boarding from Abuja without AL.

So I would advise you to calm down and watch things for the next few days before you book. Also, join PostPPR groups to get real-time info.

Hello guys

Please does anyone have good information relating to landing in recent times. Been hearing some stories about Copr holders not being allowed to travel as a result of not having authorization letters. I’m about to book my flight so I need to know the current situation from whoever has information from a trusted source.

Simply download IMM5406, fill in your family details and submit. It’s possible you didn’t supply the information earlier.

At a point I got really worried after reading stories about using pension fund to complete POF but thankfully it ended in praise!
