Increase of cost of commodities is globally. It is not only in Nigeria. Call anyone of your relatives abroad,if at all you have anyone to call , the complains are the same.
I totally agree with wike. By the way, the person you quoted is your fellow agbado miscreant who is trying to deviate. Press his neck till he fall in line grin cheesy grin

For this remark alone, I doubt Wike stands any chance of winning any office that is to be decided by votes of the masses. And indeed, this video is already on the Internet and will continue to be used as evidence against him either in the near or distant future.

Additionally, he can only say this in the midst of heavy security presence. If he is in doubt, he can just take a ride to the nearest market without his security details and repeat the remarks. He will get appropriate reaction in the appropriate language.

I used to like him, but on this, he goofed.

nairalanda1:

Our fuel needs are about 60 million liters per day. Dangote can do 25 million liters per day.

Until we get more refineries, importation is going to continue.

And the way to get more refineries is to in essence remove fuel subsidy and let the market control the pricing of fuel

Just come online, spew trash and think yourself a smart person. Even with the current cost of fuel you think we can consume 60 million liters of fuel in a day. The official figure stands at 40 million liters and in reality, it is about half of that or less.

We deserve what we got, whether merited or not. Now we need few illiterates to tell educated lots the condition of their lives even with all the glaring evidences. The government is a yahoo government, but again, let's wait so they finish scaming us grin grin grin

Government that collaborated with a dubious company to dupe its citizens trying to go to Dubai to make a better living.

Government that sold imported fuel for 185 naira after subsidy removal, then "totally" removed the subsidy and sold same imported fuel for 700 naira are now selling fuel refined in Nigeria for over 1k naira.

Government that keeps feeding her citizens statistics while feeding fat on her scarce resources without manners

Governments that hides international and internal palliatives from her citizens.

I don't blame people that are close to those in power that eats the crumbs like the cretin in this post from defending his true and profitable source of income, I just pity the nairaland cretins who haven't had a decent meal in years but still come here to spew trash

Ojuntana:

We export oil
Over 70% of export is oil
It's imports that dropped
What are the variables that shows that our oil exports have ramped up? Considering that Dangote is taking up lots of the oil quota at the moment. Also being dependent on oil as we have always been does not constitute a change, a change is a shift from the norm. If I used to give out 100 naira and all of a sudden, I start giving out only 20 naira, and later down the line I start giving out say 100 naira, or slightly more, this can't be categorized as a change. In this context, a change would probably mean teaching people how to get the money or probably start giving out gold.

they say that our daily fuel consumption is 40m litres. Same figure we have when fuel was 187 naira per litre. Common sense should dictate that such figure should drop by almost 50% when price of fuel skyrocketed to over 600 naira per litre

Same thing is applicable here. I have been a constant customer on aliexpress, however, since the exchange rate went up to 1200 to a dollar, which is over 8 months now, I have not purchased anything on aliexpress since. This explains the reduction in import. As for the export, I don't see what we are exporting, unless we are exporting air.

With that ₦27m I can get you either of
2015 Mercedes ML 350
2016 Lexus Rx350
2016 Toyota Highlandee

That money will cover for
Buying, Shipping and Clearing

So why waste such money on a vehicle that was smuggled into Nigeria when you can go legit with it.

See this ML below, I just bought
Bro, trust me I have checked copart for a favorable deal but I couldn't. Also the wait is excruciating grin grin just got my 2013 rx that I shipped since June. The least you can find a good 2016 rx on copart is $14k at that price with recent exchange rate, after land trucking, shipping and Clearing, the price will be around 35m minimum.

with ₦3.3m would get each cleared

Hello Jaid, is it advisable to buy a non custom cleared ride and then process custom clearance for it? I have a 2016 rx 350 someone is willing to sell for 27m without custom clearance. The car has been in use for a while now without registration. If it is possible to still pay custom duty for it can you tell me how much the compromise will cost so that I can factor it in while pricing the car. If I can't sort out custom duty for the ride, make I leave am grin grin grin

Politics / Re: Nigerians Groan Over Rising Police Extortion, Checkpoints On Highways by Balistic4: 9:22am On Sep 10
these checkpoints are never really to protect the masses, the guys that posted them there will ask for his own share of the egunje at the end of everyday.

This complaint has been going on for decades and the solution is very simple. Create a body that will checkmate this act, let them constantly dress as a normal motorists and patrol the highway in normal cars and buses, pick up one or two officers everyday from different locations and make example out of them. The ones that refuses the egunje, promote them or give them cash gift. Once this goes on for few months, every other officer will fall in line.

But we know that this is from the rotten head and won't stop grin grin grin grin
