There will be a decline in import because the naira was devalued and you need to spend more to get few things at a dollar rate that if you bring it here, people can't buy. It's not due to any sound economic decision. You know people can't even have dollar to use for import.

Maybe, just maybe, he deserves some credit.

I've always acknowledged his effort as governor of that good state. He practically elevated the status of citizens of that state. He's a terrible senate president, but I give him his flowers.

We don't usually have good senate presidents - except Bukola Saraki, Ken Nnamani or maybe Anyim, these ones stood their ground somehow.

The foundation of the fuel problem of today was laid by President Yar'adua when he reversed the sale of the refineries in 2007. If private investors had been allowed to run those refineries, they'd be working now.
It's a problem of many years, not just this government.
However, this suffering must not go to waste. People must see more judicious use of govt. money else, another protest will surface.
