"Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN; Alex Iziyon, SAN and Emmanuel Ukala, SAN, who appeared for INEC, governor and APC, respectively, argued that the petitioners did not list the name of the witness in their proof of evidence and that the witness statement on oath was not front-loaded alongside the petition."

We all know election petition is a very technical and difficult case in Nigeria to prosecute...just that one would expect the petitioners not to be repeating many of these little technical mistakes such as the one in quote.

With loads of election petitions we all followed in the aftermath of 2023 elections, myself wey no be lawyer don know say you have to list your witness and front load your witness statement and evidence so that the defence counsel will have access to it before proceedings.
The judge still admitted the witness anyway.

This is what we want..... Healthy competition between foreign products and locally produced ones. Although, concession should be given to indigenous manufacturers, so that they can also compete favourably....
How can local producers compete with foreigners? Lol

I don't really know why states are crying

The back bone of any government around the world is property tax

There are over 250,000 houses in each of these stated in city n towns

Valued at a minimum of 10 million to 500 million

Say average of 35 million

A property tax of 1% value of house is not bad 3% is ideal.. So let's go to 1.5%

That's easy 131 billion

But once u do this know u must work,
Know street have to be paved
Streets have to be clean
Roads must work
Know propaganda of tribe and religion won't work

Maybe these are the reason they don't go for it since they have enough to steal but not to work
You're suggesting a man who's down should still be stomped on.

Education / Re: UK Varsities To Layoff Workers, As Enrolment By Nigerians, Others Dwindle by BALLOSKI: 5:22am On Apr 04

The development is also connected to the decision by the Uk government to reduce international students, as some concessions given them that level have been whittled down.

When they reverse certain policy thinking they're rendering help to others and not helping themselves, too, this is what it leads to.

They are happy to sack as many workers as possible as long as it means immigrants would leave their country alone.

The UK is currently in panic mode. They are afraid of losing their identity.

Their Prime Minister is Indian. The Mayor of London is Pakistani. Their King is waiting to die and the Royal Family is in shambles.

They don't want immigrants flooding their country anymore. So they'll GLADLY sack anyone that needs to be sacked.
which identity dem get before? Did they think of identity when they went about stealing people for slavery and colonizing people?

Throwback to when Yahaya Bello boldly declared his mission to rally Nigerian youths behind Bola Tinubu's bid for victory. His passionate call to action reverberated across the nation, igniting a wave of enthusiasm among the younger generation. Bello's strategic blueprint involved a multifaceted approach,

He even donated a campaign office to Tinubu, showing his dedication. Bello also took a stand against the federal government's naira note policies that seemed to work against Tinubu, showing his support in action. Through innovative youth empowerment initiatives and successful campaigns, he sought to galvanize support for Tinubu's candidacy.

Despite facing skepticism and logistical challenges, Bello's unwavering determination signaled a seismic shift in Nigerian political mobilization, inspiring hope and reshaping the landscape for generations to come.

You didn't bring back the time he insulted Tinubu for supporting Faleke.

You didn't bring back the time he worked against Audu and APC because he lost in the primaries in 2015.

You didn't bring back the moment he stormed out of the meeting where it was being discussed that power should return to the south where other governors supported the move.

You didn't bring back where he refused to yield to Tinubu's pleas to step down for him and he went all the way to contest in the primaries. In fact, he killed a certain Okwo and attempted to kill Muri for making sure he didn't get 100% of the votes of delegates from Kogi state at the convention.

He returned supporting when Tinubu had crossed all the hurdles and it was obvious he's going to win. Who needs his support at that point in time?

You don't commit all these sins against an eventual winner and be in his good book.

He was humiliating the late Ado Ibrahim, a father of Ebira nation. Yahaya doesn't have respect for anything - he acts as he likes. Accidental governor who turned to a killer. He's going to pay for his sins.

It could be Yahaya Bello himself behind the account. There's no low he can't sink to.

Oshiomole deserves to brag. The man did alot in Edo. Unlike the present Governor
Don't mind that guy called Babajero. Oshomhole never bragged about that , he only talked about Tony Anenih aka Mr Fix it and his cohorts frustrated the fixing of that road.

Edo was struggling before Oshomhole came to the rescue and he handed over to the guy there and he's been a monumental failure.

Where is obaseki
The warthog was saying it's a federal road and not single remedial work was done despite its effect on the people of that area. In fact, his vehicle once got stuck there.

Some governors do federal roads because it affects their people - but this lazy one in Edo is sleeping on duty.

I heard Edo politicians like Anenih and Mike Onelememen siphoned funds meant for the construction of this road.
Politics / Re: Outrage As Akpabio Hosts Iftar On Easter Monday by BALLOSKI: 8:53am On Apr 02
Did he organize Iftar or break of fast in a month other than the month that fasting is observed? Did the iftar hold during the time of most church programs held to mark the day? What's the issue here? So, no any other thing has happened on that easter day or done by another Christian? They all stayed worshipping?

When does he want the iftar to hold? When the senators are gone on holidays? Why didn't he condemn Arise news for hosting the senator from Cross Rivers who walked out? Is he not a Christian?

I've been struggling right from time just to make ends meet .

Studied chemical engineering graduated in 2016 and served this nation with every part of me with great joy and expectations, even though I knew the road isn't going to be easy, I was still hopeful.

Started a job as a supervisor in an hotel with meager pay, but I was still hopeful that things will get better even though the nation still isn't positively responsive to my hopes.

Managed to save for 2 years with help from other family members started a fabrics business, so relieved I could actually see my dreams starting to play out in my head, also got employed by a friend to work from home, a freelancing job that pays little, at keast tge pay would still solve some little issues .

Problems started when the freelancing companies stopped giving Nigerians jobs/ tasks it was quite an horrible situation, so now I'm having just this fabrics business.

This evening I still don't know how the fire started what I was hearing was fire fire from where I went to buy food, it was my shop getting burnt in my face, i wanted to run inside to see if i could atleast save some little of my goods but people arround stopped.

I ran mad for 2 hours knowing I'm starting from scratch again😭😭😭😭😭.
I'm not lazy but I'm tired so very very tired, I think resting forevermore would solve this in ending problems....ending it all would be better .
Don't end it, bro. The good news is, you're strong and healthy. What defines us is not how many times we fall, It's how many times we rise back up. You can do this - keep pushing.

May God provide for you.

No other race on earth loves the black man, he also does not love himself. How can you give "preferential" treatment to a foreign airline over your own? We're really stupid and taught to hate ourselves and pull each other down.

Looks like a karma for their role against igbo during the Biafra war. The war was between Britain and Igbos with Gowon as the puppet in the center. British fighter jets bombed markets and churches killing many innocent women and children all in a bid maintain a United failed creation of the lunatic lord lugard. Neither the British royal family nor their government nor apologized for the atrocities till today…shame on them
Everything is about Igbo...

God so love Igbo that everything that befalls anyone is attributed to karma for certain crime committed against igbo. I want to know which Karma brought unknown gunmen and sit-at-home to Igbo land. If God loves you so much, your region should be like Dubai and not getting karma on innocent King Charles.
