Background:


We are looking for a honest and diligent digital marketing specialist to optimize a startup company website through various channels using "White Hat" techniques and tactics. The specialist must have considerable experience working in this industry.

The specialist will possess great interpersonal skills and a “can do / must do” attitude and preparedness to roll-up their sleeves and make things happen. The specialist will work remotely most times and must have a laptop, access to fast internet connectivity and electricity to power the laptop with internet for 8 hours a day. There may be occasional after hours work involved.


Salary and Benefits:

The remuneration for this role is between 40,000 Naira to 60,000 Naira monthly for the probation period. This remuneration package will be reviewed upward after the probation period.

The successful candidate will benefit from courses to improve his/her skills and will also benefit from other career enhancements incentives. In addition, the successful candidate will also be required to travel outside of Nigeria to represent the organization in different events and initiatives as appropriate.


Digital Specialist Role Description:

- Perform in-depth website competitor analysis;
- Perform key word research including competition and traffic analysis;
- Develops on-page and off-page optimization strategies;
- Implement different link building techniques to build quality links;
- Drive loyal traffic to website through Social Media marketing techniques, and ;
- Build links and unique content.


Other Role Description includes but not limited to;

- The Digital and Social Media specialist will be responsible for taking initiatives and developing / delivering high quality content across social media channels for the for the startup business. S/he will come up with great initiatives to define and implement digital strategies, plans and campaigns for the startup company.


- S/he will develop, implement and maintain an imaginative and comprehensive social media presence for the organization using a wide variety of tools, setting ambitious targets and monitoring success.

- Monitor and identify trends in the USA and Canadian social media environment, market intelligence and insight to support effective strategies, plans and audience reach.

- Compile monthly reports detailing broadcast, tracking mentions, trends/engagement levels with analysis of data to inform future online presence and approach.

Some weeks back, late August I had an interview at Itel Mobile office in Ikeja, I and couple of other applicants. After the interview, we were told that they would get back to us whether the outcome is positive or negative. Till now, it's getting to a month and I haven't heard from them.
