Thanks everyone for you responses! Well appreciated.

Thanks Akorkor and ogbenioptional

I was just curious as the only restrictions on the evisa is not being entitled to public funds.

It's just easier to work as a contractor for a physiotherapist-which is practically the same as being self employed. Nurses have it easier in this respect...loads of partime jobs.

Hi all,

For someone on a health and social care visa, can I start my own business as a supplementary job? I know the 20-hour limtation will apply and has to be on the shortage occupation list.

Any ideas on supplementary jobs to boost income will be appreciated.

Thank you.

[quote author=TheGuyFromHR post=96308317]You can - the TLS people will subsequently link all the family applications together. Remind them to do so when the main applicant does their biometrics. The main applicant's GWF number is also there in the dependants' forms to link the applications anyway.

Thank you!

Good day.
Pls can dependant do biometrics before the main applicant?
Also, can we use the assisted service option to get a closer appointment date...it seems a cheaper option than the walk in.
Thanks.

[quote author=fakmurphy post=95846272]Hello everyone, Gurus in the house. Firstly, please I'd like to ask if I should be worried about the UK address on my TB Certificate. Here's the thing, I did the TB test in August while I wasn't sure which University offer I will be accepting ( I have a couple of offers from different universities). So I have just decided to go with an offer from a Uni. in Cardiff but my TB certificate does not carry this University's address but my previous flat address in Scotland. I hope this is not a problem when applying for my visa?

IOM can change the address for #8900.

Thank you @Madamekofo. I am also a physiotherapist, I have over 8yrs of clinical experience with the hope of Tier 2 sponsorship.
I am about to start the process for HCPC, just need to collect some document from my school after the lockdown is over.

Pls I want to ask you some questions...

1. Can IELTS be waived?

2. How plausible is getting a job from Nigeria as physiotherapy is not on the skills shortage list?

Thank You.

MadameKofo:
I haven't been on here in quite a while, apologies for the late response. I am physiotherapist in the UK on a spouse dependent visa. Do you have your HCPC license and how many years of clinical experience do you have?

That's great. Have you tried recruitment agencies?

Please did you have to do IELTS for your HCPC?

You should have added an extra certificate by now to your bag and Learnt French to altogether boost your CRS.

SO was actually working on BCPNP, I have even registered for both components of the PCE only for CPTBC to change their policy on interim registration.
If you have any info on working in UK please do tell. Thanks.

It will be nice if we can keep this thread alive as other health professionals.
I have been in the express entry pool for close to 2 years now with no ITA. Tried the pnp route but none nominating physiotherapists.
I will not mind UK now if I am able to get a Tier 2 sponsor. Any info on migrating to the UK will be appreciated. Thank you. @Thetherapist

Good day all. It is quite commendable the way you enlighten and support each other on this thread. I am a physiotherapist interested in migrating to the UK. Please is there anyone who knows anything about working in the UK as a physiotherapist? Thank you.
