ArisingStorm:
(In a fun-filled interpretation)
The Most High will give your enemies chance to display their talents and skills, then, The Mighty One of Yisrael will let them know who is in charge.
Look at Joseph and His Brothers
Look at David and Saul
Look at Israel and Egypt
Look at Yahusha(which christians calls Jesus) and his enemies
Look at Daniel in the Lion's Den
Look at Paul and Silas in the prison. Etc.

Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tents of the wicked shall be no more.
Iyoḇ (Job) 8:22

Anyone who follows the Torah of our Abba and surrenders their all to Him, will be loved by The Most High.

Shalom

Christianity EtcBIBLE VERSES THAT SUPPORTS DRINKING by bamvik(op): 9:33am On Jul 05, 2020
Bible scholars, what's your take? because am about to start at least one bottle grin .
These Scriptures show that drinking is not a sin. If used wisely in moderation alcohol can be a good thing.

1. “Ecclesiastes 9:7 Go ahead and enjoy your meals as you eat. Drink your wine with a joyful attitude, because God already has approved your actions.”

2. Isaiah 62:8-9 “The Lord has sworn by His right hand and by His strong arm, “I will never again give your grain as food for your enemies; Nor will foreigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.” But those who garner it will eat it and praise the Lord; And those who gather it will drink it in the courts of My sanctuary.”

3. Psalm 104:14-15 “You make grass grow for cattle and make vegetables for humans to use in order to get food from the ground. You make wine to cheer human hearts, olive oil to make faces shine, and bread to strengthen human hearts.”

4. Isaiah 55:1 “Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the waters! Also, you that have no money, come, buy, and eat! Come! Buy wine and milk without money and without price.”

Jesus turned water into wine.

5. John 2:7-9 “Jesus *said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim. And He *said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it to him. When the headwaiter tasted the water which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter *called the bridegroom.”

Benefits: Wine was used as medicine.

6. 1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent illnesses.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Too Much Profit A Sin? by bamvik(op): 11:14am On Jun 14, 2020
[quote author=Ogeneigbo1 post=90651796]I don't believe it's a sin.
Excess profit is allowed in business.

There is what we call risk management.
Your ability to manage your risk in business determines how far you will go in that particular business.
When you ventures into a particular business, you have to calculate the risk involved.
The risk involved is that which keeps you afloat in days of trouble.

You might make excess profit in the first trip.

The second trip becomes a disaster.

If you say your first trip which you made excess profit is a sin, then what will you say of the second trip which you lost all your money.

Excess profits are to be saved for the difficult days.
Every business must go through a difficult days, so the profits you made in the goods days will save you in the bad days.As long as you did not steal, lie or cheat to make those profits.

Business is buying and selling,
Seller has an asking price.
Buyer bargains.

otomatic:
Some people will reap a 100 fold, some 50 fold, etc. The person with 100 is not a sinner. He has good business acumen, better negotiation skills. In fact there is a parable in which the servant who doubled his master's money was rewarded with more.
However, it is sinful to use false scales, but not sinful to use negotiations.
thanks a lot, learnt something

Kobojunkie:
Why not ask the Spirit of God supposedly living on the inside of you?
You do understand that if He does not, live inside of you that is, then everything you do is sin, not matter how good you try to be at the end of the day? It will always remain meaningless worship. undecided
haven't u seen a situation where the average cost of doing a contract is 100k and they decided to pay u 400k. Will u return maybe 150k and tell them its enough?
Christianity EtcRe: Is Too Much Profit A Sin? by bamvik(op): 9:04am On Jun 14, 2020
OpenYourEyes1:
It's not moral or right (which makes it a sin).
Lots of such traders usually sell things that way because the buyers probably aren't aware they are not that costly or have no choice. Beside, if everybody does thing that way, there will be unnecessary inflation of goods and services in the land.
It's never right for people to sell things expensive (due greedy) while others are selling thesame thing cheap

We can afford to buy alot of things today because people choose not to inflate prices, or are forced not to inflate due to healthy competitions.
good response, thanks
Christianity EtcIs Too Much Profit A Sin? by bamvik(op): 6:31am On Jun 14, 2020
I Am curious to know from bible scholars in the house. You see a situation where the wholesale price of an item is lets say #2100 * 100pieces =210,000. Transportation = 90,000, total =300k and the trader eventually selling it #6000naira which is =600k.

So is it a sin? Your answers with biblical reference
