She did her legalisation on 21st of April and pre enrolment on 13th of May. I am just waiting to have enough money in account for her so that she can apply. I believed visa application should commence after 7th of July which is the last day of pre enrolment.

No news from the lawyer and no news about DoV

To be honest I am not use if my sisters friend use Npc birth certificate or not.

I believed they have two lawyers or law firm, if you are in group 1 the lawyer will not come to the house and if you are in group the lawyer will come to your house. My sister submitted her docs with her friend, but her surname start with O while her friend surname start with A, the lawyer visited her friends house but no lawyer visit ir call my sister.

I believed you can't, they should check your identity against your documents.

My cousin told me that people that came to Italy last year got their DOV after arriving at Italy, so unless the rule has just changed I will not advise anyone to wait for the DOV before approaching embassy for visa application.

@Chibsyellow, please how did you know about the new rule, my sister called the embassy and they asked her to come and submit when she is ready.

Few that I know are as follows:

Visa application form

Admission letter

Statement of account

Sponsorship letter

Accommodation booking confirmation

Flight reservation- not paid for

Travel insurance not compulsory

Also, the guru of the house can advice further or otherwise

I dont think so, unless you are applying for tourist visa.

I don't want to use booking.com for the visa application.

@AY50, please don't quote my word, I guess pre enrolment will end between 7-15 of July. If I am wrong the guru on this site should correct me. I am not in Italy myself but I have a family friend(Pelumi) that used to be in Italy and went there as a student.


For anybody going to Torino. Have you reserve your accommodation for visa purpose, or does anyone in Italy know a realisable website to book accommodation?

I don't think it makes any difference if you are going for a bachelor degree or masters,from what I heard your sponsor should have 4m in his/her account

@AY50 I believed so, unless if guru on this site have better information. Meanwhile, you can use a sponsor account, like myself I am sponsoring my sister.

He doesn't have to go to the embassy, as I have said I will cancel my sister appointment on 17, and it usually appear on the booking slot as available to book immediately, therefore he will be able to book the appointment for 17th of this month. I just want to make sure that he will be the one to have the appointment that's why I ask him to contact me, If he is online now, I will cancel it and he can apply immediately.

At the moment I have 3.2 but I working towards 4m for my sister. Someone told me that I should have 4m before she apply and that it has to remain their till they grant her the visa.

You can book appointment for visa application thesame way you booked your pre enrolment, I.e. Under the link that says visas to study.

The next step is visa application, my sister is going to politecnic di Torino.

@ Opaniyi, she did her legalisation before the pre-enrolment. But she has done both now and we are thinking of applying for the visa.

My sister authenticated all her documents in Abuja, then do the translation and pay 110k for legalisation in the embassy and paid 12 to 13k for pre-enrolment also in the embassy. The next step she will taking is visa application.
