Bitcoin is a digital currency that was created in 2008 by "Satoshi Nakamoto." It's exchanged electronically, it's tied to no banks, and no central authority controls it. That's strange enough. But one of the strangest things about the currency is that Satoshi Nakamoto's true identity has never been confirmed. And "Nakamoto" — whether that's an individual or a group of people — is estimated to own up to 5 percent of the total supply of the currency. That's not just a lot of money; it's a potentially dangerous amount of power. A few months prior to bitcoin's launch in January 2009, Nakamoto wrote a white paper titled "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System." The paper included citations from collaborators, but Nakamoto never revealed their identity while communicating with them over email. On their P2P Foundation profile, Nakamoto claimed to be a Japanese man born on April 5, 1975. But searches for that identity came up with nothing, and the birthdate was fishy: April 5 was the date President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed executive order 6102 forbidding the hoarding of gold by U.S. citizens (in 1933), and 1975 was the year gold ownership once again became legal for U.S. citizens. Coincidence? Perhaps not, as this is just one of many easter eggs allegedly hidden by Nakamoto in their correspondence with others. Bitcoin enthusiasts have come up with a few theories about Satoshi Nakamoto's identity. Nathaniel Popper wrote at length in the New York Times why he believed Nick Szabo, creator of a bitcoin predecessor called "bit gold," was a likely candidate, but Szabo has vehemently denied that he is Nakamoto. In 2014, Newsweek writer Leah McGrath Goodman attempted to identify Nakamoto as a Japanese American man from California named Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto, as his birth name was similar and he had experience as a systems engineer and in financial information services. But Dorian Nakamoto fiercely denied the claim, and Satoshi Nakamoto's P2P foundation account even posted "I am not Dorian Nakamoto." And before you ask: yes, Elon Musk has denied that he could be Satoshi Nakamoto. An Australian entrepreneur named Craig Wright has claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, but his claim has been met with much skepticism. If Nakamoto ever did reveal his/her/their true identity, it could prove dangerous: owning around five percent of the entire supply of the cryptocurrency, or roughly 1 million bitcoin, lends the owner great power. Bitcoin's exchange rate is famously volatile, so we won't tell you how many U.S. dollars that would be worth because it will probably be different by the time you read this. But if you multiply bitcoin's current price by 1 million, then you might see a pretty huge number. This is exactly why many believe that revealing Nakamoto's identity is important. Cryptocurrency Professor Matt Green told CNBC that Nakamoto has the power to tank the currency if they want to. Because part of bitcoin's value comes from its scarcity (only 21 million bitcoins can ever be mined), Nakamoto could cause the price of bitcoin to tank by selling a large piece of the stash in that million-bitcoin wallet. And while others agree that uncovering Nakamoto's identity could have a huge impact on bitcoin's economics and internal politics, there's something kind of poetic about the creator(s) of the world's first decentralized digital currency remaining a mystery. 2017 has been a blessing for me as I have transformed into a better and stronger man. As much as many philosophers stress that Change is inevitable and unpredictable. I think the major changes in my life came through hard work and my quest to seek new experiences. These are the 23 lessons I learned this year : 1. Embrace change . Change is always beautiful. Don’t settle. Don’t settle Young. Live your life, Go places, Do things, Make mistakes, Learn, Excel. 2. There is No heaven above or hell below. This is heaven and hell. Make whatever you want to make. Admire Results. 3. Life is too short for regrets. Cut your losses and move on. Nobody gives a Bleep about your feelings. 4. Ask for the respect you deserve. Set limits, put up the fences, Protect. 5. Subtract all the negativities and what you will be left with is a phenomenal sense of focus that you can use to achieve your Goals. 6. Putting a few Efforts to better the lives of the needy is heavenly. Fulfilment is found in places you may not have looked yet. Apart from money, Give them the human connection they seek. 7. Don’t let anyone tell you that Money is not important. It is Love it. Master it. Make it your bitch. 8. Invest your hard earned money and use it bring smiles to faces. 9. It’s all about priorities. Learn to say NO and to deliver each NO with respect, positivity, and humbleness. 10. Dream Big, Push your Boundaries and create Things. Work until your Idols become your Rivals. 11. Let people talk shit in front of you and behind your arse for the next 10 years. This won’t matter. Once you get into a place where your failures are just yours, they get a lot less scary. 16. Everything takes longer than you think. Keep your spines vertical and hustle. 17. Don’t train for skill, Train for the mindset. 18. If you don’t love the process of you being the GAME. I have very few friends. most of them are from my childhood and school. I seem to be losing them. One gets a girlfriend and stops communicating. The other moves away and stops communicating. The other is willing to play video games, but not much else (I generally stopped playing them, but didn't think I would lose a friend over it). I must be the one to start communication, to invite the other to hang out, they never initiate conversation. They generally say they'll let me know but never get back to me, or ignore me. It seems, unfortunately, that I value the friendship more than they do. In person, when we do hang out, we have a great time, but otherwise, it's like I don't exist. The frequency of hanging out is getting longer and longer for all of them (7 months, 14 months). As an introvert, this is so sad especially when someone you think is a good friend don't value your friendship at all ( my female friends are even worst). Am i the only one experiencing this? |
apart from d fact dat you are very stupid.....wat other problems do you have? |
I also Regret not using my time more effectively learning new things. Instead of being a plain-ol lazy ass playing video games and wasting time on the internet I should have learned more. Even if it got me nowhere it gives you a foundation to learn more complex things as time goes on, letting you spot opportunities. You see, even if you feel like your wasting your time cause you wanna jump right in and start a million dollar business in one week, you need to build your mental foundation that lets you predict outcomes and spot trends and opportunities. |
Focus on one thing and see the end result, I have been erratic in my decision makings. Secondly, I made the mistake of thinking - I have all the time in the world not knowing that they are stages of growth as time progresses. Let me explain. If you missed the time of going to school while living with your parents, it is going to cost you more as the years go by. 1. If you missed buying a house when you have the time, chance, resources and energy, it will cost you more later. 2. If you missed educating yourself about marriage, life will be a living hell living with a woman as confused as you as you are. 3. If you do not know what you want in life, other people will make decisions for you. 4. When children showed up in marriage, the game automatically changed - it is no more about you but the family. No more spending 100k on phones when the child needs diaper, daycare, doctor's visits, etc. 5.Life is wonderful, handle with handle with prayers. |
