So, the ex-staff in question has still not been paid 1 year later.
To summarize, he was terminated without warning while on exam leave in the 1st quarter of 2018 and asked to acknowledge & collect letter to that effect upon which he would be paid 3 months salary in lieu of notice.
The letter was collected and acknowledged but then all requests with regards to the payment have been ignored, flimsy excuses given as reasons not to pay and even use of veiled threats(to give bad references if the staff goes to seek employment elsewhere) have been employed.
Even letters from the former staff's legal reps to access bank HR went unanswered until a letter was sent to the MD-Mr Herbert Wigwe, whereupon replies were retroactively made.However nothing has been done almost 1 year later and the ex-staff has had no choice but to seek legal justice.
The matter is now in court(Port Harcourt) and access bank has rolled out a SAN to defend their position.
Interestingly enough there are other similar cases in other states against access bank right now!

interested in just Doom for switch

The above mentioned bank has been on a termination spree since the end of March 2018. They call unsuspecting staff for a meeting in Lagos with their respective Executive Director and when they arrive are given a letter of termination. The exercise is still ongoing as far as I know.

To make matters worse, the bank has not paid these ex staff any benefits due to them to date but instead are placing debits for HMO payments and other entitlements they previously had as staff.
The end result is that if/when they are paid (if ever), they get nothing at all. Increasing the misery of the people who once worked for them.

It's a shame Access bank plc has descended to this level.
