AlexBells:
I had always wanted to carry so many people along and I understand, this is a faceless forum for many but for me it is different, We started Igbo province for quite a while now and I want a joint force with the rest of us here.

I want us to adopt Igbo province as a traditional government of the Igbo nation, so many mistakes was made in the past that need to be corrected, getting Biafra is not an issue it is the mode of asking for it thats the issue, a time will come when strict reasoning would be prioritised.

In the past Igbos had taken risk for others, Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu took the risk for the Middle belt and West but he was never appreciated, Biafra declaration was illegal both Ojukwu and Gowon and all the Military heads of states where illegal.

When declaring Biafra he had no such right but be that as it may, declaring Biafra under a Military regime is nothing but a call to war, the military speaks only one Language which is war.

Biafran declaration or leaving Nigeria is a political situation not a Military situation, I bet if Zik or Premier Michael Okpara asked to leave Nigeria it could have been Smooth, but before the coup and the civil war there was no need or desire to leave Nigeria becuase everything was going well for the East.

We have a bright chance as I had spoken to so many legal luminaries, Military men and women and politicians as well, I can't take the credit alone but we are stronger together, let's come together rebuild Igbo province not the old Eastern region and focus on our lands.

Then if our people want out of Nigeria we would seek political solution to it, this is not a military situation but our parents in the mainstream can't do much, let's play our part continued militarization of this situation would only be more costly.

Even if we have to seek Military solutions, it would still be better if we have a traditional province that would make friends within Nigeria, we have many allies who would work with us as Igbo people.

IPOB is a great body but they are working with the old Biafran template and we had tried to bring unity between them and our politicians to no Avail, so we need to do something, the polititian is not even the problem, so many Igbos are still in the Nigerian military and the Military is the real binding wire of this country not the politician except the presidency.

Let's come together and work for a goal, we give so much free tips everyday but we can all write our name in marbles by fronting Igbo province, we are the one who can remove this distrust between both sides of our people serving Biafra and our people serving Nigeria, no one have to be a saboteur nor rebels, we should all come together as one Igbo people we are the only ones we got.

On my own, power is interesting but absolute power is dangerous, I don't want to be a life premier if we work together once the system is strong and stable, we would introduce an electoral process and an encompassing constitution where any qualified Igbo would be free to contest for positions.

I don't see why we should continue clamouring for old Eastern region when Igbo province would give us Anioma which used to be Midwest, if you noticed I don't use to be as aggressive as I used to be becuase the problem is quite complex and it is only when we come together to look deeper that we can solve.

Please, I'm pleading once again even if you don't want to take active part in this, recognise Igbo province and support us by using it in your publications, we already have an offline base especially in Enugu.

Bro after reading what you wrote I got more confused. I didn't even understand where you are heading to. I guess you are trying to bring confusion into Biafran struggle. Your write up shows dangerous ignorance and out of touch with reality.

Communities are being wiped out in Southern Kaduna and Benue state but Nigerian army never went there to protect the people. Why then are they coming to Anambra state? This question should elicit some brainstorming from serious individuals. The reason isn't far fetched if we are to look at their operations any were in Southern Nigeria from recent history. They only come to kill and suppress the locals against having any form of local defense mechanism. Whatever the case, they will lose their aim in to the SE because we can never allow our land to be porous like Benue state did whereby about two millions of the indigenes are in IDP camps inside the state.

God bless you....I laugh at what is about to play out in Anambra state. God's name will be glorified in all Biafra land in what is about to play out. The zoo government will know that we are the children of the most high.

Politics / Exercise Golden Down; See The Real Reason Dr Akunyili Was Killed . by banom(m): 6:57am On Oct 05, 2021
The Nigerian military is always clever by half; they craft all these their dirty half thought out strategies thinking they will fool everyone. looking at the shocking murder of Dr Akunyili about a week ago, one wonders why would that innocent noble man be killed for no reason, who killed him, and for what purpose ?

The killers and the purpose is simple;he was killed by the Nigerian military. Why ? Because they want to use it to justify military invasion of Igbo land in general, and anambra state in particular in order to massacre Igbo youths and Ipob members, and also to help APC win the upcoming Anambra state election. This is also in view of NNAMDI KANU's court case coming up on the 21st of this month where it is expected that the Nigerian government will act something funny that day and IPOB members will go wild thereafter.

They are also the ones behind the burning of FRSC, and DSS office in Anambra state , and also behind all the killings going on in Anambra that their collaborative media houses have propagated as the hand work of IPOB and ESN ...all to give the impression of insecurity and justify military invasion of Anambra state and the killing of Igbo youths that will ensure soon. A kind of giving a dog a bad name in order to hang it.

Let me explain this further .

Do you still remember operation python dance and how it started ?,.... Then, the Biafran agitation by IPOB was at all time high, NNAMDI KANU was going about holding rallies everywhere, his Biafran freedom message was resonating with the people all over the place, his court case was also coming up, and more than anything, the Nigerian government never wanted the court case to go on because they have nothing to nail him, but all the same, something needed to be done to deal with him and crush the agitation once and for all. The solution, they wrongly thought, was military invasion of Abia state under the guise of peace keeping, and annual military exercise in the name of operation python dance.

In order to justify the invasion and the massacre that will follow, they severally baited IPOB members into confrontation with Nigerian military officers on so many occasions, which Ipob members were disciplined and clever not to take. And failing to get IPOB members to take the bait, they stage managed the rest, and used that as a justification to invade Abia state in the guise of an annual military exercise; an exercise that end up taking place in the Afara ukwu home of NNAMDI KANU, and culminated in the massacre and disappearance of hundreds of Ipob members, and only ended after they achieved what they wanted.

This is exactly what they have planned for Anambra state. Their calculation is this , Anambra is the head of the Igbo nation, and the greatest supporters and financiers of IPOB and ESN... a kind of center of gravity. In order to finaly crush the agitation, they believe, thy need to hit hard on Ipob members there, and also to take over the political leadership of the state by making sure their preferred candidate wins the upcoming governorship election.... Just like hope uzodimma of imo state, a candidate that have assured them behind closed doors that if helped to win will do everything to deal with Ipob members and kill the agitation. They believe with imo and anambra state in their pocket, Igbos will be kept in check. ( That is why you see some politicians defecting from the ruling APGA to APC. These are people who have gotten the tip that there is a a ruthless federal government and caliphate plan to take over Anambra state ).

That was what NNAMDI KANU saw months ago when he warned that every young person, man or woman in Anambra state should leave the state or enter into the bush that heavy rain is about to fall. That heavy rain is what is about to happen now starting as exercise GOLDEN DOWN. As golden as it has been called, they rain will be heavy and heavier than operation python dance , only that, unlike during python dance, IPOB now has at least some form of umbrella to protect them from the rain.

This is why the Nigerian military is currently moving in heavy military equipments into Igbo land that they are telling you to go about your normal business that there is no cause for alarm. That it is an annual exercise..... it is not any exercise, very heavy rain is about to fall. A rain they are justifying with the "artificial insecurity" they created starting with the gruesome murder of DR Akunyili, the stage managed burning of Joe ignokwe's house, the orchestrated destruction of DSS and FRSC offices, and the senseless killings of innocent people by DSS killer squad called UNKNOWN GUN MEN.

Actually the killing of Dr Akunyili was strategic; they needed someone of his nobility, background, and caliber to kill and accuse IPOB of, to be able to create the quality of negative sentiment in Igbo people that can turn against Ipob and leave them open to be killed and massacred by the Nigerian military. It should be noted that these military guys they brought into the east, are the same boko haram terrorists few months ago, that the federal government told us are repented and are now part of the Nigerian military.

SouthMustBeFree:
Men and brethren, no matter how long lies prevail, the truth must surely come to light. And when truth shows up, lies will definitely be swallowed up and humiliated.

I am sure every Nigerian both home and abroad can see what is going on in the SE. Even the international communities are aware. Somehow, the wanton killings and kidnappings many have described as the handiwork of IPOB and its security arm the ESN.

Let me say this categorically. I do not expect anyone to believe it. Gone are the days of looking for co-travellers, people that must sing the same song with you and dance the same dance. We are no longer fools. Obi can never be a boy forever. We are grown ups and we can reason and can logically analyse events and come up with logical conclusions.

Anyone who is accusing IPOB of the killings and assassinations going on in the SE must be a dead and a brainwashed soul and I must say woe to such a creature. It is not my fault that such a person can not reason properly to understand things for him or herself, I have no pity, no apology whatsoever for such soul.

What you see happening in the SE is government sponsored. It is politically motivated and orchestrated. First, to give a terrible impression that SE is not safe, secondly, to create the impression that Igbos hate themselves and so can't govern themselves if given Biafra, thirdly, to destabilize the SE so elections will not hold properly and to make sure other Nigerians lose interest in electing a president of Igbo stock since its clear that going by fairness and equity if there is any SE should produce the next president.

Take it of leave it, that is the real reason for all you see happening in the SE. Of course to achieve all the above, they decided to import/export well trained in terms of weapon handling. Further, they labelled them UGM as footsoldiers to actualize the above mission and in turn accuse IPOB so that the rest of Nigerians and the world can see IPOB as truly a terrorist organization which its not.

The question is, how can a whole Nigerian governent not be able to arrest at least one of the UGM, interrogate him and hear from the culprit who they are working for and who they represent if government was innocent of the formation of UGM? I have read many pieces and comments on this subject matter but of a truth the reality is all clear for anyone to see.

Igbos that I know will never wake up, take up arms and start killing their own and destroying their own properties. That is not the spirit of an Igbo man. They are too enlightened for that and as such accusing IPOB of the atrocities witnessed in the SE in recent times is a huge embarrassment and a joke taken too far.

The Nigerian government should be held responsible for the blackmail, the mischief and the crime being perpetrated against Nigerians in SE.

Late General Sani Abacha said and I quote " Anywhere you find unrest last more than 24hours, government is involved" that was coming from a general who understand the power a nation wills at stopping any uprising. Today we have Boko Haram menace, bandits and Fulani herdsmen. They are all established killing squad of the government, forget about all the lies and propagandas they put up.

Anyone who have been close to the corridors of power will understand what government is and what they are capable of doing for selfish interest. Government can wipe out 10million of her citizens just for the sake of a single interest. That is how dirty the concept government can be.

Nigerian government should speak up about what is going on in the SE. Blaming it on IPOB is a joke taken too far, lives are already being wasted. Enough is enough.

Thank you bro, God bless you....as I asked those fools pointing accusing fingers to Ipob, of what benefit is the killings for Ipob ? . It shall never be well with Nigerian government for the evil they are doing in Igbo land.

Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by banom(m): 12:14pm On Sep 10, 2021
bunmisoar:
I give thanks to God for the success of my Interview
My visa was approved on Tues, 7th Sept, 2021 for FALL SESSION. Yes, FALL SESSION.

I learnt a lot from this platform regarding my preparation and my conscience will not let me rest till I post my success story for others to learn from too. I thank everyone here, God bless you for the helpful tips, and by the Grace of The Almighty God, every other person here will testify too. Be relentless, pursue it like your life depends on it, above all, Gods Grace is supreme over all we do.

SO my school, Morgan State University resumed since the 23rd of Aug, with faith, I registered for classes (I didn't make payment though because the school gives so time before payment) and resumed classes online. I made my department aware of my delayed interview and pleaded with them to write an extension letter for me to take along to my interview. My department did, and sent me the letter.

Here's how my interview went: (a black male in his early 40s interviewed me)

FALL 2021
NO FUNDING

VO: Hello good morning
Me: (with a smile) Hello, good morning sir, how are you doing today (be as friendly as possible in your greeting, it will help in reducing the anxiety in you)

VO: Pass your documents
Me: (I gave him passport first, then passed my I-20, extension letter, and DS-160)

VO: (as he was collecting the documents) SO why are you going to the US?
Me: I am going there to study. I will be studying my Masters in Public Health at Morgan State University, which is located at Baltimore, Maryland.

VO: I can see from your I-20 that school has resumed
Me: Yes, we resumed two weeks ago, 23rd of Aug. However, i have an extension letter from the school which i have passed to you. I have also begun classes online and I have been actively involved in all class activities. I have also been in frequent communication with the course instructors and they are all aware of my travel delay, i can also show you our conversations (i already printed the email communication between me and my lecturers incase he sked, but he didn't )

VO: So why MSU?
Me: I had the option of 3 schools, New York University, North Carolina University, and Morgan State University. However, my decision to settle with MSU was based on their syllabus. I compared the syllabus of the 3 schools ad I discovered that for NYU and NCU, the ir syllabus is constructed in such a way that at the beginning of the program, the students go right into their areas of specialization, but for MSU, their approach is more holistic and comprehensive. At the beginning of the program, the students do all courses in the 5 core areas on public health, and at second semester, they specialize. I wanted something as comprehensive as that

VO: What will this course do for you?
Me: In the short run, on my return to Nigeria, I will be reabsorbed into my current place of work. I currently work as an assistant health administrator at XYZ hospital, and the management is aware of my plans. They have also agreed to grant me a 2 years study leave. However, in the long run, i have passionately followed the work of several NGOs her in Nigeria. They are doing a great work in the Health Sector her and I have always wanted to be a part of them. The likes of UN, WHO, APIN, E-Health Africa, and many others. I believe that on my return, the certificate and knowledge i would have acquired will give me a leverage and make me more marketable.

VO: I can see you did Geography, so why Public Health
Me: Yes, but my specialization was in Medical Geography

VO: So is Medical Geography same as Public Health?
Me: Yes, it is all about Public Health nd Epidemiology
(at this point, he typed, and I guess to confirm what Medical Geography is on google. He then looked at me and said okay good)
(P.S: if your first degree is not related to what you are going to study now, or the work you are currently doing, look for a way to link it all together. VERY IMPORTANT. I thank God I already prepared for this question)

VO: I can see its a relative that is sponsoring you
Me: Yes, my Uncle

VO: Who is he and what does he do?
Me: He's an established engineer her in Lagos and has his own construction company with over 100 staffs. He is also a Federal Senator (My uncle is a politician, so i made sure i included that)

VO: What is the name of the company? Spell it
ME: A B C D E ( then he kept typing. This man googled the company in my presence then asked me questions)

VO: (looking at the system) where is this company?
Me: it is at XYZ here in Lagos

VO: Good. Anything to show that you and this man are related?
Me: Yes, I have a family photo here with me (though he didn't ask for it)
(Guys, please go prepared!!!)

VO: Why will he be paying this much for your fees?
Me: He has been sponsoring my education since my secondary school and he's just like a father to me.

VO: (began to type oooooooooooooooooo, then he brought out white paper)
VO: I will not be giving your visa now because the extension given by your school is not on your I-20 so...

Me: (i no allow am land o) But i told you i have given you and extension letter from the school and I also registered and resumed classes online and ...

VO: (Him sef no allow me land) Calm down sir, I didn't say I am not approving your visa, see your white paper, I have approved it. However just do one thing. Email your school today, tell them to indicate the extension given to you on your I-20. I will also give you back your passport and this white paper. Once the school has updated it, take the updated I-20 and your passport to our DHL office at XYZ You don't have to come for another interview. Your visa has been approved!!!

Me: (with all manner of Joy and smile): Thank you sir!!!

(So if your department is giving you an extension letter for resumption, contact the International Affairs department of your school, send them the letter your department gave you, and tell them to reflect that extension in the remarks section of the I-20)

Shalom!!! Wish you all THE best!!!

Honestly bro if not for one thing I would have happily elected to pay for your air ticket. Your transcript is so instructive and inspiring. You are a go getter , a fighter , a visionary, a realist and a strategist.
Your ability to get the visa rested on two things from you, first was foresight; by been able to foresee all the interview might entail , you prepared ahead of time, took no chances, and shaped the out come.
Second is strategic action; by understanding that your school resuming before your Visa interview makes your chances of getting
the visa difficultt, you joined the class online. Not only to increase your chances of getting the visa, but also to make sure you don't lag behind when you get there.
Those two steps, your fighting spirit, and ultimately grace were what made the visa interview successful.

Thanks for your transcript, I learned a lot from it. Am sure with your practical nature and foresight you are going to excel in the states. Wishing you greater success bro. God's grace.

Imagine ordinary small boy like seun can now openly talk to us and tell us what will be good for us. ( As we don't know what is good for us )

Of course, I know the real reason he is praying hard and wishing that BIAFRA don't come is that his nairaland.com will likely die away as every component part will create their own discussion forum and leave the issue of Nigeria. The survival of nairaland.com depends on the continued existence of Nigeria.

But seun sorry to disappoint you, IPOB will not fail, and Biafra will come, and Nigeria will break into pieces and your nairaland.com will become irrelevant and forgotten. Deal with it. .. nonsense.

You see, I only started to listen to MKN about February this year and was immediately caught up in the logic behind his clamour for Biafra. I was so caught up with his stirring speeches that his invectives, insults, threats, boasting, clamouring and deadly plans caught me unawares. However, I kept listening and was proud of how he rattled the cage of the Nigerian FG.

However, the insults and threats became even more desperate, brazen, and daring and I cringed at some of the pronouncements he made, which included the capturing of certain people and the murder of their children anywhere in the world. That did it for me, and I knew belonging to IPOB was impossible and contributing money was ruled out. Why? Because when you contribute your hard earned money to groups like IPOB and they buy bullets to kill, the blood of those who were killed is partly your fault.

Why am I ashamed? Because , from a position of tribal rivalry and the marginalisation of Igbos I have been stupidly defending IPOB on this forum in terms of their right for self-determination and secession from Nigeria despite the clear path to war and blood shed that they had laid out. My conscience can no more allow me to continue on this path and I now have to come out to totally denounce the antics and methods of MNK and IPOB.

These are my reasons.

1. With IPOB there is no room for dissent, I have lost followers on twitter and elsewhere, and been subject to abuse for having difference of opinion

2. Before IPOB we had lots of problems in Igbo land, but never blood shed on this massive scale, we cannot allow this continue, it must be halted.

3. IPOB propaganda is demeaning and degrading and, in many cases, laughable

4. MNK's plan before he was caught was to turn the South East into a war zone so that CNN, BBC and other major news organisations will take notice and create awareness for Biafra.

5. MNK was willingly to sacrifice all our Youth for Biafra. Meanwhile he is not their father or mother and does not seem to understand that they are human beings who have a future.

6. ESN was supposed to be in the bush, but they came out and committed wanton and random killings of our security forces many of whom were Igbo , and pretended not to be UGM

7. MNK was stubborn, almost arrogant and refused to take advice from many of his supporters. Anyone who had a difference of opinion was shut down

8. IPOB made enemies not allies. They are crude in their approach and need to be totally transformed if they want to be taken seriously.

9. MNK’s reference to Fulani people as dirty desert dwellers is unbecoming of an elder and person with a reasonable level of education, more so because of his exposure to life in the UK. We have problems with Fulani Herdsmen and Fulani politicians, but the Fulanis are not a dirty desert dwellers, they are our African brother and sisters.

10. MNK’s abuse of blacks as subhuman and stupid, was totally out of order and self-defeating. We are not subhuman; we are human beings who are victims of circumstances.

11. I am afraid that MNK and IPOB have radicalised a large number of our youth in their 20s and early 30s and they may pose a danger to the stability of the South East. Our governors and leaders must reach out to them to integrate them back into society and make them productive.

I can go on and on, but I will stop here.

In summary, I can no longer agree with IPOB, they must either change their ways or be put out of existence. We need more stable, calculated, measured and strategic voices and leaders to come out and support.

We still want Biafra and we will achieve it through less violent and more intelligent methods. But if Nigeria changes for the better we will also support Nigeria.

Thank You.

I wouldn't have responded to you because we have passed your level in this agitation, and I know you are here with a sponsored propaganda against IPOB. I'm only responding to you now because you have actually shot yourself on the foot with some things you wrote.

First you said you are Igbo, and the fulanis are your brothers....nice, let me remind you that the fulanis sees the southern Kadunas more as a brother than you a wannabe Igbo, and yet they keep killing and slaughtering the southern Kadunas everyday. ..may the brotherly fate of the southern Kadunas meted upon them by their and your fulani brothers befall you and your family...iseee

Second, you said Nnamdi Kanu's approach to the agitation is wrong, and that we need a more inclusive, calculated, and strategic Method...this sounds so good.....now, Nnamdi Kanu is in detention, the field is now open for you to come out and lead us with that your own superior style of agitation.... since you are Igbo, you too can do it.....so over to you, come out. We will support you. But if you fail to come out now with that your superior and more calculated approach, then close your ignorant mouth forever about IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu. You can't be stupid and confused at the same time.

Sports / Beware, The People Called Anonymous Group On Facebook Are Scammers by banom(m): 4:24am On Jul 12, 2021
People here should be aware...the so called anonymous group on Facebook that say they are hackavists helping to fight bad government, and into football prediction are nothing but scammers.

What they do is that they bring out two games and claim they sold it to customers who are bared from commenting on their page, and they will be making comments following the games as they are playing.... whatever the game ends, they will claim that was exactly what they predicted. They are very smart criminals.

My blood brother payed them money since February and up till date, they did not give him any prediction, instead they demanded he should pay more money, then stopped responding to my brother's chat, and later blocked my brother. They are scammers. Beware. Don't be the next victim.

I have proofs if you in doubt.
