EducationSee Why There Was Mass Jamb Failure by banom(op): 1:55pm On May 07, 2025
I saw the thread that asked why there was mass failure in jamb this year. Funny enough many people were not even answering the question correct. Some blamed smart phones,TikTok, lesson centers, and even jamb itself etc.. But they are not the reasons at all.

People massively failed because these days students no longer read or take formal education serious anymore. And believe me to some extent they are justified not to take going to school in Nigeria serious.

A place where all your elder ones are all graduates, but couldn't find job after many years of graduation because your family don't have the money or connection to get them one, how will you take going to school or studying hard serious.

Another reason is hunger in the land, a nation where to see food and eat is a big luxury now, where will you get the strength to study hard..even the teachers don't even have enough energy to teach anything due to hunger abd hardship everywhere.

Nigeria as a nation is not serious. People should stop blaming innocent children. They can not give you academic excellence in a society riddled with hunger, Insecurities, corruption, joblessness, poor infrastructure, and struggling house holds.

PoliticsRe: The FG Has Turned Nnamdi Kanu's Trial Into A Joke by banom(m): 12:51pm On Apr 29, 2025
gidgiddy:
The reports coming out the court room in Nnamdi Kanu’s trial reads like something out of a book of jokes. The Federal Government is not actually charging Kanu for anything he did, but for what he said. All the charges are that between 2018 and 2021, "Nnamdi Kanu said this or that on Radio Biafra".

But what makes the whole thing funny is that at court today, rather than present their case, the FG called a DSS officer who came to talk about how he arrested Nnamdi Kanu in a Hotel in Lagos in 2015

You are in court about what you said a man uttered on a Radio station between 2018 and 2021, but you are busy talking about how you arrested the same person in 2015? Something that has nothing to do with present case!

I think this whole thing is just an act to waste everyone's time because the FG have no case.
My brother I think say na only me dey enjoy the jokes...they could have just termed it A DAY OF A THOUSAND JOKES.

The whole thing is becoming ridiculous. They should just release that man before they turn the whole country into jokes
PoliticsRe: 'We Arrested Nnamdi Kanu With One Woman In A Hotel' - FG Calls first Witness by banom(m): 12:27pm On Apr 29, 2025
And the woman does not have name...

Cheap blackmail and propaganda.

This actually shows the federal government has not single case against this man. So a matter that was supposed to be a serious case of terrorism has boiled down to a childish talk of womanizing in a federal high court ?

Nigeria and disgracing herself all the time.
Christianity EtcRe: See How Orderly People Sat At Pope Francis' Burial At St. Peter's Square (Photo) by banom(m): 4:24am On Apr 29, 2025
ValCon888:
Back in medieval times the pope was extremely powerful. In fact, he was the most powerful man in the world.

He exerted supremacy over kings through divine right and was a kingmaker and a king destroyer.

It was because of the pope's vast power that King Henry the Eight broke England away from thr Catholicism and started the Anglican church.

Current popes may not be as powerful as back in the day. But they still hold great influence which is what you see today.
While it is true that the pope had immense power in those as a result of the power and dominance of the Roman empire at that time, it was not the reason the English king broke away england from Roman Catholic. He did so because he took a second wife and the pope threatened to excommunicate him. Instead of him to bow to the Pope ad rescind his decision, he ignored the pope and broke away england from the Roman Catholic Church, and formed the church of England ( Anglican church) . This happened during the time of pope Nicholas.

Normally headies na yoruba people award... established with the hidden intention of promoting Yoruba artists over others. we know them well well..,the whole thing has turned to a big joke anyway as no one do take them serious anymore. They are a laughing stock.

Headies recently started awarding some south south artists to escape the tribalism they are. All na wash
PoliticsPlease What Has Ohaneza Achieved For Ndi Igbo ? by banom(op): 4:15pm On Apr 23, 2025
I'm Igbo ooo, so don't say this is an attack on igbos, but something just crossed my mind now. It is about Ohaneza..the apex Igbo social cultural organization.

Looking at Yoruba, one can easily see all their counterpart,Afenifere, has achieved for the Yorubas, same with their counterpart in the north.

Since the existence of Ohaneza, what exactly can igbos look at and say this is a vital achievement thy have made for the igbos.

To state it more direct, can we see a single achievement of Ohaneza for igbos in:

Politics
Economy
Culture
Security
Social
Etc.

This is not to banter them, but I'm just curious and wish to be shown their achievements so that I can know and praise them for it.
PoliticsRe: Southeast region ranked Lowest In Poverty Rate In Nigeria (photo) by banom(m): 9:16pm On Apr 17, 2025
GeneralPula:
You’re not sharp..

This stats is proportional to the population of each region..

Oyo state alone is almost the population of SE which makes SW a region with higher population than SE. Numbers would always be different. Besides that, are Igbos not among the poor counted people in the west? As in, they didn’t count poor Ibo people in the west or all the Ibos in the west are rich?

NE is number one because of high population only. It doesn’t mean Ibos are richer than Hausa/Fulani..
If not stupidity, you would have known that an average Igbo in Lagos state is well to do. Infact Lagos state is where igbos have the highest number of their wealthiest individuals in Nigeria.

So instead of what you said, the truth is the other way round. It was the wealthy Igbos that were counted in Lagos and other south western states that made you people to even come third. Minus the countered igbos and you might be dragging position with north west.

The time that building was erected, your forebears were running buttnaked from their fellow cannibal kinsmen.
Well I'm Igbo, and we have always been richer than Yoruba people. As at the time he built that house, obviously in the first or second decade of 20th century, my forefathers were billionaires , traveled round the world, and were working hard to bring you freedom from British colonization.

Today that nonsense you are glorifying as mansion is a mere duplex in Igbo land. Belonging to average rich families in our villages. Come Igbo land let's show you what a mansion is.

Or better still drop your account details let me buy you dinner cus I know you are hungry and languishing somewhere in ognomoso.

Go and ask Orlu people who are now displaced from their ancestral land if it is Fulani that is causing problems for them.

This old tired Biafran war propaganda of using the Hausa-Fulani boggeyman trope has expired even amongst your people

It was this same Hausa Fulani boggeyman that Ojukwu used in justifying annexing the SS and it's this same trope that Kanu used in getting ibos to accept his ESN terrorists who are now terrorising the very people they claimed they are fighting for.
Toor, since Nnamdi Kanu is the evil, I wish you and your entire family to be visited by Fulani headsmen ...that is if you are not one of them

PoliticsHeadsmen Killings: can Nnamdi Kanu now be vindicated ? by banom(op):
As far back as 2014, kanu foretold everyone that the Fulanis are coming; that they will occupy your forests, take over your lands, kill you, rape your mothers and destroy your farms, and nothing will happen, the government and military will protect them. He went further to say those who don't believe him will soon see it with their own eyes.

Now, with what is happening everywhere in Nigeria today, can we now say Kanu meant well for every Nigerian, and saw what no one saw, and did his best to save everyone from this catastrophe, or is Kanu still the terrorist and the problem of Nigeria ?

Had the whole country listened to Kanu, could we have had this mess we are having today, could these thousands of deaths and millions of displacement have been averted ?

Do you still hate Kanu, is he the problem or the solution ?

And finally, should he continue staying in solitary confinement ?

These questions are begging for honest answers.
