APC 2019 Presidency is more guaranteed than anything in Nigeria.
APC has the governors on ground, they have hard core Senators ready to do the ground work like in Sokoto.
They now have Shekarau working with Ganduje in Kano. I am 70% sure Kwankwaso works with Buhari if he loses the PDP nomination in Kano. APC have attractive value propositions for local players like Omisore in Osun State. They have attractive value proposition for Nigerian key demographics like youths- N-power, SIP, Farmers - anchor borrowers, Traders - MFB loans and Trader-Moni.

The only opposition to APC is from some city dwelling youths active online who don't seem to have sense of reality. Why do you deceive yourselves unnecessarily?. The President is reasonably popular due to anti corruption stance, welfare policies and some tribal support ...but even then, the most shocking /offensive truth about democracy is that it is not the unpopularity of a President that makes him lose elections, it is the actions of key demographics on election day which can be engineered weeks before the vote.

APC will WIN 2019 Presidential elections. There is a 50:50 chance that Buhari will pull away and annoint a younger person. This possibility that Buhari will withdraw is so REMOTE in terms of possibility to most Buhari haters in their lack of astuteness and lack of understanding that they are missing it completely.

Anyway most people are slaves to the news and attitudes they are bombarded with everyday so it is not surprising that only a few have understanding.

My dear, surviving stockbroking houses have been on proprietary trading, not necessarily on brokerage fees. The minimum operating standards have improved efficiency in the industry, but also balloon expenses for these houses in the faces of market cycles. Large transaction tickets do not just occurred regularly because of market depth and shareholders structures... If you set up one today, within 6 years you must have hired about 7 MDs given your current dispositions!!!

Yes, I want to be trading with my own engine in my garage and but not necessarily avoiding brokerage fees.

I have consulted the NSE. They advised I explore one of the two options:

1. Open a stock brokerage account with an existing stockbroker.

2. Apply for a Dealing member licence. Sadly, they are currently not issuing new licenses and further advised I approach existing Dealing Member Firms with an inactive status to buy their licenses.

I have decided to go with option 1.

Financial market follows relativity and is always foreward looking. What is it that you want to achieve with your investing action and what is your timing like? If you do not want necessarily avoid regulatory fees, then simply open an account with a broker and negociate the brokerage.
