In those years, he showed some signs of readiness to step into the position but lost complete confidence as the years went by due to few matches played. He might not be the kind of player we'd hoped for, bt certainly he's not been helped either by the bench. Why not let him go where he would have more playing time?

Chelsea and Man city have the same certainty if you look at it well, and 4 games out of 38 isn't a bad number of games to win by that margin. There's a reason why they're title favorites every season
