There are very few top strikers available and Watkins is not world class.

He is however EPL proven and has some good attributes. If he is not signed to ridiculous money and wages he can be a stop gap until we are able to get a top level striker down the line OR someone like Obi matures.

The major issue with him is his age. Only Newcastle and Man City in the top 6 from last season had better strikers than him.

Watkins, Cunha, Mbeumo, Zirkzee, Obi, Mount, Amad should be good enough to compete for top 4-6 this season.

The extra improvement needs to come from the coaching staff and building team chemistry on and off the pitch.

Without a solid CDM or Cm and goal keeper

Vitinha, the one who was deemed not good enough by Wolves; Ruiz, from Napoli; Mendes, from Sporting; Marquinhos from Roma; Dembele, from Barcelona...Just good to very good players who are all very comfortable in the ball and workaholics...Our fans will protest if we are linked to players in those clubs...

When some of us say not ready yet we say that because we watch every single minute of every single televised academy game, and we see how they are performing for the full 90 minutes and not just highlights.

Your second wrong statement: Chido is not one of the ones i think is not ready yet. In fact, i have been calling on Chido to start games for a few weeks now.

Finally, you people talk as if City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Villa, Newcastle play their teenagers. Apart from recently when Arsenal started playing Nwaneri and MLS we are the only big team that continues giving minutes to such young players, mainly because it is our tradition and also partly because the senior players are thrash.
The truth is we are the ones who play our teenagers, and in some cases, we even overplay our teenagers when they are not ready. You don't hear about other club's fans lamenting like ours.

City's Under-18 team is presently equal to our even slightly better than our Under-18 team and it is almost certain that none of them will smell senior team for maybe 2 to 3 years sef. Meanwhile we have had 2 players make their debuts in a few months and a couple others make the bench.

City's Under-21 team is way better than our Under-21 team and those boys are struggling to make the senior team bench.

Check Villa, Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool etc. They all have academies too. How many of them are they playing?

The difference is that their senior players are doing their job so there is no undue pressure on their academy players. Oscar Bobb is 21 and used to deal with our academy but he is still on the fringes at City. If he was here, he would have been on 200 games by now and fans might have started cussing him out too.

Barca was force to play with kids, yet they are on their way to the tripe, Yamal wont have been given a chance if not that Barca were cash strapped same as Pedri.

I believe Rashford has probably learned his lessons. I hope he is given another chance to prove himself.

Maguire has developed a tough mentality and is becoming dependable. Licha is solid as always, and Mazraoui is blending well with the team. Dorgu is young and has the potential to improve rapidly. I think our defense is not in a bad state, provided everyone stays fit.

However, we need to make some adjustments. Replacing Evans, Shaw, Lindelof and possibly Dalot with Harry Amass and Kukonki on a full-time basis should be a priority.

In midfield, we are far too light and thin. Releasing Eriksen as soon as the transfer window opens should be considered. Casemiro at 33yrs might be better off moving to the Saudi League or MLS. We don’t need to overspend here; Collyer is ready, and Moorhouse deserves a chance before the end of the season for a proper assessment, alongside Kone and Scanlon.

As for the attacking players, Mount, Antony, Sancho, and Højlund need to go. I would be thrilled if we could sign Osimhen. Give Rashford another shot to prove himself again. Garnacho should stay, and Mainoo should be developed into a proper attacking midfielder. Chido should also become an integral part of the first team.

Areas to reinforce IMO:

Striker: Osimhen is the ideal candidate.

Central Midfield: Invest in one world-class midfielder.

Wing-Backs: Bring in two, one right wing-back (RWB) and one left wing-back (LWB).

Goalkeeper: Heaton is leaving at the end of the season and Onana should be sold. A single top-quality goalkeeper is needed.

If we make these changes, I believe we’ll be in a strong position to compete for the top 4 next season.

Eriksen and Casemiro can still be in the team, if they are willing to get a reduce wage just like scholes and giggs in the man utd team. Both have valuable experience and technique which can be pass on to the young lad.
For the Defence, you are on point, we are well cover in terms of experience and youth, what is needed is more coordination and communication.

The defence were at fault for most goal being conceived.

For the forward position will need quality addition and also depth. Holjund can still be kept as a back up

The injury crises face by the club had shown that those consider as not good enough can actually get the result and should be given playing time when the better players are all fit.

Martinez, Manoo and Amad should not be playing all games when they are fit due to their recurring injuries.

Reason why carrick and Nisterooy should have been left in their acting capacity at various times. A new coach does not guarantee success.

We should be promoting some of our good youth team players. Kobbie Mainoo just came out last season and dominated Man City and Liverpool, All these he is too young na rubbish. Some time our youth players spend too much time in the academy and suddenly they will start declining.

Exactly, most of these our players are not being well managed by the Manager. These players should not be given the burden to carry the team.
We have a lot of exciting players and they have all failed to impress in the long run.

Unless they perform consistently for some time, Man Utd could use occassional help from our youth team for the striker position and not over rely on them.
