FamilyHow Come I Detest My Sister In Law So Much? by barakah(op): 1:28pm On Dec 09, 2012
I've been a bit concerned lately considering the relationship between me and my sister in law.I've been quite puzzled at her many flaws and I've thus vowed to keep her at arms lenght to keep the peace.I notice her lazy attitude each time she comes around to visit, three months stay and couldn't even scrub the floor or the back of a single pot.She is better with the phone and watching TV and sees nothing wrong with spending time speaking with her boyfriends in my presence.I wonder how many Yoruba nairalanders are online to help advise me on this issue and be objective too.Don't get me wrong, others can also contribute except that respect is a thing of the Yoruba race and my dilemma has a lot to do with respect.
FamilyShould I Get A Second Car Or A Nanny? by barakah(op): 12:59pm On Dec 09, 2012
Hello fellow nairalanders,
I've had this very difficult puzzle to solve for a while now and was wondering if I could get a good solution to it online.
I have a small family, my wife and I and our two young kids in Nursery school.
The challenge is that we all have to leave the house in the mornings for work and school in one car.
I drop the kids at school and my wife at the nearest bus station before I set off to work.
The Lagos traffic ensures that I always arrive late to work.
Do you think it is time we get a second car, get a nanny, get a driver for my wife and kids while I go on public transport or change my kids' school?
I'm sure someone must have a good solution to this please admonish me.

Why are we all of a sudden "sad" when an elderly person dies? Let us look at the bigger picture here.

He had a good life, he left behind a legacy and arguably laid the path for today's fuji musician - From KWAM 1 down to your Obesere. Some will even say he is on "over time" as he was past the life expectancy in naija.

Don't get me wrong, I am not being insensitive, but will rather celebrate his achievements. On contrast, it was sad when Dagrin and Someone like Bawomolo departed, because they had their whole life in front of them.

Personally, like I said, I don't see the need to be sad, but instead celebrate his life. I'm sitting here bumping "Salubata ni mo wo mi o gbo do shu bu". That is some good freaking old school fuji song right there.

Celebrate my people. What's your favourite song of Alhaji Agba? For me it is "Salubata" and Fuji Garbage. Anyone remember the fuji garbage dance? That is some good old times mehn.
Well said.
Lets celebrate the achiever.
He reaaly did leave something.
Alot infact.

HealthRe: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by barakah(m): 2:23pm On Aug 09, 2010
If your doctor believes it's good for your age, why not first get him to defend his statement and sort out the conflicting variables.
Surgeon, i actually meant to say my Doctor believes the drug isn't good for my age.
What can i use to neutralise its effect and boost my SFA?
HealthRe: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by barakah(m): 2:01pm On Jul 30, 2010
@barakah

The reason for the poor SFA result is NOT likely due to Staphylococcus. Staphylococcus is a regular commensal found in and on the human body usually without causing harm, and hence is a likely contaminant of many laboratory culture results.

Your doctor has not yet found the cause of your low SFA; it is not Staph. I suggest he refers you to a Urologist.
Surgeon,
Could my blood pressure therapy be the cause of my low SFA?
I've been on "Lisinopril" and "Athenolol" for a while now.
One of the side effects is weight gain and i read somewhere that it could also cause Oligospermia.
Besides, my Doctor belives it's good for a man my age.
If it affects fertility, could i stop it and look for an alternative for my blood pressure.
Then, i'll also get drugs to boost my SFA since am ready to start a family?

Hope you understand what the word negotiable means?
Besides, the car is less than a year old and the engine runs perfectly well.
