Please house I got this estimate from my bricklayer for the plastering and German floor of my twin two bed room building. Although I raised eyebrows about it I still went ahead with the work. Cement – 65 Bags N100, 750 Granite stone – 2 truckloads N 64,000 Plaster sand 3 truck loads N 33,000 Sharp sand 3 truckloads N30,000 Workmanship and labor N 250,000 Grand total N 477,750 Presently, 39 bags of cement has been used up for plastering alone Wonder if 26 bags will be enough to make strong German floor for the house or else I’ll exceed my budget for the work. Please advice on the rates and quantities quoted by the bricklayer. Showing pictures of the structure after plastering.

Please house, I got this estimate from my bricklayer for the plastering and German floor of my twin two bed room building. Although I raised eyebrows about it I still went ahead with the work. Please i need your eagle eyes to help vet the figures Cement – 65 Bags N100,750 Granite stone – 2 truckloads N 64,000 Plaster sand 3 truck loads N 33,000 Sharp sand 3 truckloads N30,000 Workmanship and labor N 250,000 Grand total N 477,750 Presently, 39 bags of cement has been used up for plastering alone Wonder if 26 bags will be enough to make strong German floor for the house or if it means I’ll exceed my budget for the work. spyder880:Oga Spyder, please can we have an idea of the cost of wiring this building? Brand of materials used and price of wires ( Black and red). I'm trying to avoid being ripped off on a quote i got for a twin two bedroom bungalow. |
mufutau55:@ Hajji: Please i see a water tank that isn't elevated on a platform. Don't mind my asking if theres a new technology involved there. I believe gravitational force is required to provide supply to the house from the tank. what's the secret Sir? |
B3sty:Note some adjustments in the drawing. The visitor's toilet was moved from the living room and transfered beside the porch on both sides of the building. |
B3sty:You've got mail. |
mercylicious:For this my small building? Lol... Truth be told, I don't know how much I've spent so far. I stopped computing figures at window stage. If there's a steady income, its best you don't look back once you start. |
mufutau55:Thanks Hajji crystalzoe:I really hope so! Thank you. I'll keep you posted. I've found a few new ideas here that i want to copy for the finishing. I just hope it fits into my own structure. |
abdulwastecx:What's head course? abdulwastecx:There's a separate provision for the tank....scaffold What is the lagalaga? |
mufutau55:Well noted Hajji. I'll keep that in mind next time. |
For about two days now I've been seeking advise for a similar project I'm working on yet nobody responded to my call for assurance. See insert:: https://www.nairaland.com/1999431/correcting-structural-building-errors-avoid I can see Spyder's structure also has no columns and considering that he's an Oga in the business i'm rest assured that my building will weather any storm. |
Anybody? ![]() |
Experts in the house. Please your comments and contributions are highly vital for this project. |
Hello Nairaland, Please I just discovered that my builder did not include columns or pillars in my twin two bedroom bungalow. However, considering the importance of columns and pillars in ensuring the strenght of a structure and in making it stand the test of time, I'm considering finding a lasting solution to this error. The structure has strong concrete lintel tieing the top together but i'm wondering if the blockwork alone can withstand the weight of the roofing on the longrun, having installed 0.45mm aluminium sheets and Itara planks for wood work. Please professionals in the house kindly help in providing suggestions to this error so I can have the needed rest of mind to continue with my project.

TYPOP: Police Certificate - depends on how well you can negotiate - 3 - 10kI'm not quite clear about the figures here. What does the Bank statement cover when it should just show that i have a means of livelihood? Do i also need this for a holiday visa? Do i need repatrition fees for holday too? |

Thank you! |

cretin: try retrofitting the a blacked out headlights of the 09 camry [spyder] into the car...i guess it wud make it stand outHow's that possible? |
ijapa888: This pill is one that's quite hard to swallow and until the hypocrisy in the ACN camp is put to a stop we may continue to endure it.OP is right but there are other roads that Fashola needs to quickly work on as a matter of urgency. Ayobo road for instance,Ipaja road linking Abesan estate etc. The inhabitants of those areas also use the Dopemu bridge while leaving Egbeda for Ikeja and environs. It takes more than just sitting in an office at Alausa to be called Governor. It takes a leader that listens to the yearnings of all his people and one who works towards the even development of his geographical area of jurisdiction. Why vie for or take up political positions if you can't show the "duty of care"? It goes a long way in proving that behind all the English and packaging, there's a strong element of hypocrisy. One wonders why some areas are getting all the attention while other areas are just left for ruin. There's more than what meets the ordinary eye. |
THIS THREAD HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE CAR TALK SECTION! |
baconline: Post d pixs, does it require much body work,if yes just change d damaged parts DO NOT PANEL BEAT them, also try to maintain d original color,it is better because any scatch and d former will become visibleThe car doesn't require any body work but I'll make sure I replace failing or weak parts. I prefer to do an oven baking of the body of the car as opposed to the regular spraying with auto base. I've seen so many different colors of the 1996 model Camry and I'm at a loss to which one to choose for a color change. Siena:NOTED! |
Hello Nairalanders, Please I've grown so used to my 1996 model Toyota Camry that I can't let go of it just yet. I however need to do some changes to make this bird a beauty. I'll be putting in some money to give it a real facelift:- (1) Changing of the color (Not decided on which color) (2) Changing the steel wheels to Alloy rims What other stuff needs to be changed? Your contributions will greatly be appreciated. |
uboma: Pictures of the car in its current state will enable contributors to provide useful suggestion. This thread should be moved to the Car talk sectionThanks for the observation. |

I have a first degree equivalent in Accounting, a PGD (Management) and I’m currently studying for an MBA. I registered for ICAN some four years ago but only attempted the exam once. I have done some studies on Project management and Lean and six sigma with some private institutions but haven’t gone for certification. I however intend doing CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) this year. What do you think? Have I missed my career path? Do you see me doing well in another industry’s Operations or Supply and distribution department etc? |
Obviously you are much older than she is!You're judging me already. Well, the events I posted happened some 3 months before and I salute the manner I handled the situation. Everybody is back where we all started and I bet she has learned from her mistakes. From all the comments on this thread it's glaring that we all have different approaches to situations in life. Its easy to post comments here but in a real life situation the decision you take may make or mar you. As the man of the house, your actions travel beyond just your household. It lingers on in the minds of those who come around you and lasts long enough to affect the lives of your loved ones in the not too distant future. |
slimyem: Do you want her to change, want to know if you should be involved in the change, or you want to stop detesting her even if she doesn't?Detesting her is the problem, I shouldn't do that. I need a good reason not to feel bad about her attitude but It amazes me each time I think about it...who should've told her that she was wrong? I told my wife to correct her several times but I wonder if she did or not. She also got her share of her Sister's show of shame. I suppose she was being nice to her youngest sibling. The age difference is enough to scare her or make her respect me, I'd say some fifteen long years. She's in her second year in the University. I'm the reserved type, I've never engaged her in free talk to suggest that I encourage her keeping a boyfriend. However,I'm the conventional type one who holds custom in high esteem. |
