@Puntite

I'm sorry, I know that my rebuttal came a day later than promised but here it is

My friend, the hadith that Anas ibn Malik reported in Sahih al-Bukhari can be mentioned as a very light tan as he said he was not brown nor white but rather whitish.

Anas Ibn Malik RA said: "He had broad palms and his colour was bright. He was neither white nor brown, rather he was whitish at the time of his death, in both his head and beard there were as many as twenty grey hairs, beside some grey hair at his temples." Sahih Al-Bukhari 1/502

When Arabs used to use the word brown they used to mean it as people of bronze (tan) skin.

The Prophet SAW already gave us the interpretation of his dream. I know the Prophet didn't lie, he was Al-Ameen and in the Quran it says that he only ever said what came down upon him as revelation and nothing that ever came from his own desires

In every culture a black sheep represents something unique and rare and white sheep are something of a common occurence. The Prophet likened the Arabs to the Black sheep and the white ones to the Persians.

If he was literally referring to the Arabs as black, then he would also literally be referring to them as sheep.

The dreams of the Prophet SAW always took on a deeper meaning eg.

The Prophet SAW in a dream saw two bracelets on his arm and he found them unsettling, so he blew them off his arm,
That dream was interpreted by the Prophet SAW as: The two bracelets were the Liar of Yemen and the Liar of Yamamah, and as to him blowing them off, that meant that they would be a easy problem to remove.

The two liars were: Al-Aswad al-Ansi and Musaylamah Al-Kathaab (the kunya the Prophet gave him eg. Musaylamah the Liar) and his dream came to be true as Al-Aswad was killed while the Prophet was dying and Musaylamah died soon after.

If we went by your logic both men would be gold bracelets cheesy cheesy

In addition, people of dark skin were not referred to as brown, they were referred to as Black, Aswad. Even the dark-skinned Arabs such as Al-Aswad al-Ansi.

Again I will emphasise this point: When Arabs used to use the word brown they used to mean it as people of bronze (tan) skin.

And in one of your posts you said something similar to the effect of would our ancestors accept deen from a white man, so yes you were being arrogant and mixing pride with deen.

The Arabs were definitely of the Semitic branch in the Afro-Asiatic family, not Cushtic. No point in trying to claim them, they are just like every other human.
Bro as I showed you above an arab from quraish being described as black even nick named him charcoal. The Arabs were described under all the shades of brown, asmar aswad adam and jetblack.

The Arabs said the buffalo is asmar. Then by your definition the buffalo must be white
To let all the deniers; know, again that according to the ancient arabs the color of the buffalo which is considered asmar would be called white also

والأقهبان : الفيل والجاموس ، وكل ذلك متقارب
alaqhabaan(the two aqhabs): The elephant and the water buffalo and all that is within range of another(in lisanul arab it says they the two aqhabs because of their color)

My friend, the people thought he was a slave, not because of his complexion, but because they did not know him and it wasn't a unusual custom of nobles who went to other tribes in Arabia, to bring back a slave with them.

You said that they thought he was a slave because his complexion was brown, you also said that every Arab at the time of the Prophet had a brown complexion, so going b that logic, every Arab at the time would have been a slave grin grin

Like I said to Puntite: When Arabs used to use the word brown they used to mean it as people of bronze (tan) skin.
I want to share the page Allahu Subhana wa ta'ala guide to page 215 Volume 5 in my 7 volume set of Tarik Al-Tabari the proof below is found in Arabic pure proof Tabari says:

"Mohamed Al-Nafs Al-Zakia was tall, jet-black-skinned and huge. He was nick-named The Bituminous because of his blackness and Abu Ja'afar Al-Mansour used to call him Charcoal".

This guy is from qurais
It is a known fact that Mohamed Al-Nafs Al-Zakia was a pure-blooded Arab from his father's side and his mother's side. This is why he was nick-named The Pure-Blooded Quraishi. This is why he said the following about himself:

"You know that no one has as close relations to or relations to anyone better than he whom I am very closely related to (meaning the Prophet Mohamed (SAWS))".

Remember that this person was called The Bituminous and Charcoal

Bro i am not here to explain why they thought of him as a slave but rather to show them calling him asmar. Asmar means dark brown go look up a classical dictionary, please don't bend to mean something different you will only embarrass yourself

In reference to the hadith on the black sheep. Black sheep in every culture are a symbolism of something rare
Here is a Hadith of the prophets grandfather

Mohamed ibn Umar Bahriq Al-Hadrami Al-Shaafa'ie says in his book Hadaaiq Al-Anwaar Wa Mataali'i Al-Asraar Fi Seerat Al-Nabi Al-Mukhtaar:

وأما عبد المطلب فاسمه شيبة الحمد وإنما سمي عبد المطلب لأن عمه المطلب بن عبد مناف أخذه من أمه سلمى الأنصارية النجارية فقدم به ( مكة ) يردفه خلفه وكان أسمر اللون فظن الناس أنه عبد اشتراه المطلب فقالوا قدم المطلب بعبد فلزمه ذلك الاسم

"Concerning Abdel Muttalib, whose real name is Shaibat Al-Hamd, verily he was named "Abd (the slave of) El-Muttalib" because his uncle El-Muttalib ibn Abd Manaaf took him from his mother Salma the Ansaariya (from the Ansaar) Al-Najjaariya and came to Mecca with him on the back of his riding animal and he (Abdel Muttalib) was asmar-complexioned, so the people thought that he was a slave that El-Muttalib had bought, so they said: 'El-Muttalib has come with a slave'. This name then stuck to him."

This says he asmar tho the prophet grandfather

انا النبي لا كذب انا ابن عبد المطلب

"I am the Prophet, and I do not tell a lie, I'm the son of Abdul Muttalib!"

ohhh I really feel bad for you. all you have given me are names of Kenyans of Somali origin. ofcours there are Kenya ns of Somali origin who when through Kenyan school and are now successful. from politicians to career diplomats, ...... they are Kenyan, they were voted by Kenyans of different tribes. because before anything else, they are KENYANS. get that in your head.

the problem with you guys is that you are still living under the illusion that the greater Somali is one country and then you then go ahead and use the success of Kenyans of Somali origin as you own. don't you have your own Somalis to be proud of?
like I said before. which you don't seen to have understood. the only place where Somali refugee politics dominate is the dada refugee camp.

amina Muhammed. our lovely foreign secretary (see, I don't hate Somalis ) is the one who signed for Somali refugees to begin to be returned to safe areas of Somali. at that time many Somali did not want to go back, they were only saved by our courts Wichstoped it. you still like her now?

yusuf haji: was the one who gave the oder for the so called Bantu soldiers to attack Somali. after alshabaab attacked us. I think that's the ultimate proof that the guy has his full loyalty to the people of Kenya and he definitely does not share your views that one day Somalia wI'll become one. you still like him nowhuh?
Woow now you are claiming somalis as kenyans? Yeah I didn't see anyone order ur Bantu savages to rape people! Al Shabab attacked us you mean attacked somalis! This very pathetic claiming somalis as Kenyans and then spreading bull about them no wanting greater somalweyn. I'm done!

I think I'm about to unfollow my own first thread ever. Every day I wake up and see 30-100+ new posts on the things I follow and 90% of them are from this thread and they're all just people arguing over genetics and history.

I can understand Somalis coming in here to defend themselves from the slander being thrown at Somalia and Somali people. However, we've gotta remember that people (on this thread at least) were only saying positive things about Somalia until Axum showed up and started calling people monkeys and telling them to die of AIDS and spouting bullshit like Somalia is better than all black African countries, which everyone knows is far from the truth even despite the improvements that Somalia has made in recent years.

I can't deny I've said some very rude things about Somalis to defend myself and all of us non-horners here from Axum. But I think that it's time to stop this. I'm not going to attempt to "babysit" people on this forum and tell everyone to play nice, but there are now over a dozen threads on this site that started off nice and were constructive and have been completely and utterly derailed by Axum and have never recovered and gotten back on topic.

So to appease everyone, if you are Axum or another Somali who thinks that all black people are ugly and look like monkeys and are all going to go extinct from black women abusing wigs, or if you are a black person who thinks Somalia is the worst country in the world and Somali men are all skinny and awkward looking and live in the past and are completely removed from reality as far as how the world views them, then I have something for you to do.

Go and make a damn thread in the culture section called "Somalis/Cushites VS Black People" and then you guys can fight there forever and nobody will care because you're not ruining anyone else's threads. Thank you.
Maaan!! Sounds like this axum guy made your lifes a living hell!!

Great video. On a side not Bantu only inhabit East, Central and Southern Africa. Our forefathers original homeland is somewhere in the forests of Chad or Congo.Mansa Musa , a great man was from West Africa hence he couldn't be a Bantu, not that it matters.West African kingdoms were very advanced and very wealthy. In Benin, Timbuktu etc were the benchmarks of great civilizations in their heydays. We should be proud as Africans. cool
Yeah i think Africas kingdoms was light years ahead of europe! the proof is in the massive migrations into africa and multiple invasions.

i was also thinking how we should stop complaining and doing! like write our own history book regardless if these pink pigs aknowledge it!

honestly i didnt know what a bantu or a nilote or cushitc etc.. was before i started researching somalia and somalis.

i thought people from africa was same but exhibit different shapes and forms depending on which country they were from

i think knowing somali history made me racist! We need to censor that shit in the future!

Am not really interested in a fight over what you are or not. Are you sure you should be blaming Bantus for that?

E1B1a is Bantu only. Not the rest btw. Africa is diverse. Nilotes, e.t.c

We are a very specific African tribal group. I also doubt more than a few educated and internet survy Bantus really would bother with matters of genetics. Even fewer Bantus have/will ever come into contact with Somalis. Rest.
Yeah africa is the most diverse continent. that is why i am annoyed, instead of valuing eachothers culture and uniqueness we fight amongst ourselves. i dont see that in europe or asia only in africa.

Sorry for calling you guys monkeys i wont do that anymore (change of heart). i dont bother with genetic either it is just a stupid ploy!

Sigh, I don't know where to start with this one.

First off, you can slap me as hard as you want but know that I will kick you hard in the balls for that. That is if you even have balls wink What man would slap a woman angry

All that shit about whether we are mixed or a entirely different race created by god himself is irrelevant to me. I see Blacks/Africans as my brethren (as in race) and I see Arabs/Muslims as my brethren in religion. That's by my blood cooks when I see a video of a black man choked to death in NY by cops, when the world cries for 12 dead people in Paris but doesn't care about the 2000 lost lives in Nigeria or when I'm reminded of Israel unhumane treatment of Palestines. That's how I and a lot of Somalis think and feel. You can show maps that tell nothing or even dig up a undeniable evidence that we are neither black or arab but that won't change a thing. We feel connected to both and that feeling isn't going away after reading ''facts''.

You really need to learn how to communicate sxb, painting Somalis who disagree with you as brainwashed/dumb person or calling west africans rotten doesn't prove anything but how ignorant you are.
You have a massive inferiority complex. You connect to other people than to happy with simply somali. I see no arab connecting to a somali and i see no black people connecting with somalis. none consider us like them!. Stop your inferiority complex claim somali only!

man it is like they are eductated watching stupid black american tv! man!

I do not think anybody wants to make Africa one country. The (economic) interests that it would affect ...we are fighting as clans and tribes already. Am for empowerment of tribes, not burrying them further in more political units. R u sure its a Bantu agenda?

I like the quote posted by that kafrica dude on the new Mogadishu forum. I will steal his quote and post it here to explain to you how your Bantu "jealous" people have helped Mogadishu and Somalia in general be where they are today. that quote will come tomorrow.

for now..... give me the names of five prominent Somali refugees who have large businesses based in Kenya.
Kenyan politics is done by Kenyans.... that's in the constitution. the only place Somali refugees dominate politics is in daadab refugee camp, where your elections are conducted by none other than Kenya's electron body. for Somalis to elect someone to lead them in the refugee camp. apparently Somali citizens dint know democracy until they came to a refugee camp.

last but not least. when attacks on Kenya by alshabaab had increased, and a bomb making factory was discoverd in eastliegh, all Somali refugees were ordered to go back to camps, if the Somalis indeed dominated our economy, don't you think Kenya's economy would have collapsed by nowhuh?? and would not be expanding rapidly as is the casehuh?

The development of Somali-owned businesses has been a true success story. When Somalia as a functioning state collapsed and the economy broke down in the early 90s, a big fraction of economic activity has simply been relocated – or exported – to Kenya. A paper published by the think tank Chatham House, describes some of the effects of these developments:

“The economic transformation of Eastleigh has brought a new level of competition to Nairobi, substantially reducing the cost of goods and services. Growing Somali investment in Nairobi has also attracted banks and other service-providers, demonstrating that urban refugees are not necessarily a burden on the state and can be an economic asset.”
gues what you guys are jelouse!
This is precisely what can be witnessed in Kenya. For a long time, there had been rising frustration among Kenyans, who saw an increase in housing prices due to the increased and successful Somali business activity. Additionally, there are concerns in relation to funds and starting capital for the vast number of Somali businesses. Many people believe that a large portion of the money, which flows into Somali business investments in Kenya, such as real estate. As the Financial Times wrote this weekend:
Somalis dominate Nairobi retail and real estate sectors and are often accused of being condescending toward “black” Kenyans.

While other African immigrants have largely been spared since then, the attacks on Somali business people have continued.

The common thing about immigrants everywhere in the world is that they tend to work harder than the “natives”. They also often succeed spectacularly, which brings on deadly jealousies. From Germany where Jews were slaughtered in their millions, to Kenya where the prosperous “immigrant” Kikuyu populations in the Rift Valley were killed and chased off their lands in the 2008 post-leection violence, to the Bunyoro region of Uganda where the workaholic Bakiga were even banned from standing for local office, the story is the same.

The giraffe gifts actually came from Malindi in Kenya which had extensive trade relations with China. I found someone has edited a wikipedia page and inserted Somalia there instead of Malindi. (see Wikipedia page on Africa-China relations for the wrong Somali claim).

There are tons of better sources than wiki that confirm it was Malindi.
Ok the book written by the very chinese themselves
Duan Chengshi, a Chinese Tang Dynasty scholar, described in his written work of AD 863 the slave trade, ivory trade, and ambergris trade of Bobali,

here is the book
http://books.google.ca/books?id=cMCu0eIcDd0C&pg=PA21#v=onepage&q&f=false

Bobali is corruption of the word barbari for your information

Although the Arabs were the most prolific foreign explorers and describers of the Northeastern Africa region, they were not the first. Ancient Chinese documents from centuries earlier also profile the area's inhabitants, customs, lifestyle and commodities. For example, in his book Miscellaneous Notes in Chronicle Years ("you yang za zu"wink, the 9th century merchant Duan Chengshi wrote the following about the northern Horn coast, a region he referred to as "Bo-ba-li":

"[it is] an independent country with an infantry of over 200 thousand men, strong enough to defy the powerful Tazi (the Arab Empire)."
The ancient Chinese in general, including Duan Chengshi, also racially distinguished the Berber inhabitants of Berbera/Po-pa-li (the northern Somali coast) from those of Ma-lin (Malindi) in the Zanj coast to the south:

“For the period from the fourth century until the ninth century no contemporary eye-witness account of any part of the East African coast has come down to us; nor has archaeology as yet yielded any evidence for this period from the islands or the coastal plain. Yet we know form the Kwale-ware sites that this must have been the period when Iron Age peoples, almost certainly Bantu in speech, were spreading through the near hinterland of north-eastern Tanzania and eastern Kenya. We also know from events reported outside East Africa that during this period black people called Zanj or Zenj, thought of as living in eastern Africa to the south of the Ethiopians and the Somali were being exported as slaves to all the countries bordering the Indian Ocean. The Umayyad and Abbasid caliphs recruited large numbers of Zenj slaves as soldiers, and, as early as 696, we hear of revolts by Zenj slave soldiers in Iraq. From the opposite end of the Indian Ocean world, there is a reference in a Chinese history of the seventh century to the fact that in 614 ambassadors from Java had presented the Emperor of China with two Seng Chi slaves.
you guys were called zanj and malindi and you guys were slaves even back then hahaha.

and please watch the video where a kenyan bantu man tells more about it from the very books!

You really need to learn how to communicate sxb, painting Somalis who disagree with you as brainwashed/dumb person or calling west africans rotten doesn't prove anything but how ignorant you are.
there is nothing called black you dumb Bleep! you sufffer from inferiority complex wanna link yourself up to other people rather than just being happy with somali. we dont feel connected to both retarded shit. i see no black person connecting himself to somalia and no arab connecting himself to somali. Inferiority complex of yours is massive.

no it was somalia you dimwit and it is written in Chinese books
i can qoute it if you like

Yareey,
Deep down I don't hate Somalis. Someone just challenged me and I took the challenge. I think Somalis are o.k, except the misguided ones in the diaspora. US education standards to blame I think.

I have been a loner on many occassion in pityng the Somali plight and telling people off for being spiteful towards the Somali, till I met some people here with the audacity...

Look at Maakir here with his jealousy theory. Really? Of what?

The fact that you have that delusion tempts me to give you a little reality check Maakhir.

So long as you guys find comfort with insult Bantus, I will find comfort knocking reality hard into your heads.
bro honestly initially i didnt hate bantus! it is just how you guys irritate me with that mix crap when we are not mixed.
how you guys come with this africa africa bulshiit and expect it to be a country when it is a continent with 54 countries and 3000 ethnic groups.
many groups who look different from one another and in culture language etc..

there are more bantus where i live who insult somalis and say we are jelous! so it works both ways.

so i dont see whose delusional!

Those aren't Arabs little boy
they were arabs bro.

The Pure Arabs and the East Africans are indeed kith and kin!

The hadith prove it more than anything
here is what the prophet said

It is reported that the Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) said, (In a dream) I saw myself following a herd of black sheep. Then a group of white sheep came (and mixed with the black sheep) until they (the white sheep) became so many that the black sheep could no longer be seen in the herd of sheep." Abu Bakr, the companion of the Prophet (pbuh) and the interpreter of dreams, said, "Oh Messenger of Allah. As for the black sheep, they are the Arabs. They will accept Islam and become many. The white sheep are the non-Arab Persians, etc. They will accept Islam and become so many that the Arabs will not be noticed amongst them." The Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) then said that an angel had interpreted the dream the same way.

Zaid ibn Aslam related that the Prophet (SAWS) saw a vision and told his companions about it. He said:

"I saw a group of black sheep and a group of white sheep then mixed with the black sheep."

They said: What's the interpretation of the vision Oh Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (SAWS) said:

"The non-Arab Persians will share with you your religion and your genealogy."

The companions became surprised by what he (SAWS) said. Then one said:

"The non-Arab Persians Oh Messenger of Allah?!"

The Prophet (SAWS) then said:

"If faith were hanging on the Pleiades (a group of stars), men from the non-Arab Persians would reach it.

"Your hands will become full of non-Arabs (Persians). Then they will become like fearless lions who don't run away. Then they will cut your throats and take your spoils."

لتملان أيديكم من العجم ، ثم ليصيرن أسدا لا يفرون ، ثم ليضربن أعناكم وليأكلن فيئكم

"It was narrated by Sumra (from Al-Hasan Al-Basri) that the Prophet (SAWS) said:

'Soon Allah will fill your hands with the Persians/Non-Arabs. Then they will be fearless lions and they will kill your fighters and take your spoils.'

يوشك أن يملأ الله عز و جل أيديكم من العجم ثم يكونون أسدا لا يفرون فيقتلون مقاتلتكم ويأكلون فيأكم

Somali sailors and merchants were the main suppliers of frankincense, myrrh and spices, items which were considered valuable luxuries by the Ancient Egyptians, Phoenicians, Mycenaeans and Babylonians.[2][3] During the classical era, several ancient city-states such as Opone, Mosylon and Malao that competed with the Sabaeans, Parthians and Axumites for the wealthy Indo-Greco-Roman trade also flourished in Somalia.[4] In the Middle Ages, several powerful Somali empires dominated the regional trade including the Ajuran Sultanate, the latter of which maintained profitable maritime contacts with Arabia, India, Venetia,[5] Persia, Egypt, Portugal and as far away as China. we were the greatest merchant and traders in africa and the greatest sea faring race to ever exist
Maritime history of Somalia refers to the seafaring tradition of the Somali people.[1] It includes various stages of Somali navigational technology, shipbuilding and design, as well as the history of the Somali port cities. It also covers the historical sea routes taken by Somali sailors which sustained the commercial enterprises of the historical Somali kingdoms and empires, in addition to the contemporary maritime culture of Somalia.
In antiquity, the ancestors of the Somali people were an important link in the Horn of Africa connecting the region's commerce with the rest of the ancient world. Somali sailors and merchants were the main suppliers of frankincense, myrrh and spices, items which were considered valuable luxuries by the Ancient Egyptians, Phoenicians, Mycenaeans and Babylonians.[2][3] During the classical era, several ancient city-states such as Opone, Mosylon and Malao that competed with the Sabaeans, Parthians and Axumites for the wealthy Indo-Greco-Roman trade also flourished in Somalia.[4] In the Middle Ages, several powerful Somali empires dominated the regional trade including the Ajuran Sultanate, the latter of which maintained profitable maritime contacts with Arabia, India, Venetia,[5] Persia, Egypt, Portugal and as far away as China. many european people left their own country to persue education in somalia. it was the first and the greatest modern state in africa before the war and had an army equal to that of the west. check your monkey presidents resume it probably say mogudishu university like many african leaders got their education in somalia

putting up one of the most fiercest resistance to European colonialism (it took 3 European powers France, England and Italy to subdue Somalis), by being one of the few African nations to have a written script, by being the biggest supporters of African liberation in southern Africa Zimbabwe, Angola, Mozambique, and South Africa (in fact Mugabe once resided in Mogadisho during his struggle to liberate his country not to mention that both the the ANC`s umkhonto we sizwe and the Azania People`s Liberation Army had training bases in Somalia during the struggle against apartheid. All this when other bigger and richer African countries like Kenya and Nigeria were to afraid of the West to lift a finger to help the people of southern Africa. So by fail state you mean solidarity in African liberation then we Somalis are guilty as charged but
you are just another one of these sellout Christian African uncle toms. i could list them all!

The Moor, whom the classical Greek and the Roman authors called Berber were black, and affiliated with the then contemporary peoples of the East Africa area . The word Berber was used in fact to refer to peoples of the Red Sea area in Africa as well as North Africans.

According to Ivan Van Sertima, associate professor of African Studies at Rutgers University. "Black Moors were in every corner of Europe. Most people do not know that the peoples called Berbers by the classical Greek an Roman historians were black and affiliated with the then contemporary peoples of the East African area."
