Is it the only Christian that is affected by the use of Loudspeaker even if u are traditional worshipper u are also affected, why crying foul??

The governor is also asking the lawmakers to enact the law that will stop the playing or circulating of “all cassettes, CDs, flash drives or any other communication gadgets containing religious recordings from accredited preachers other than inside one’s house, porch, Church, Mosques and other designated place of worship.”

Same way yer bible support preaching the gospel is the same in our holy Quran.

If u have any valid argument go to court nd let see the outcome is el rufai is wrong??
not thesame way!

[b]Governor el-Rufai has sent a bill to regulate religious preaching to Kaduna state House of Assembly

– The bill seeks punishment for anyone who violates the law

Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state is reportedly seeking drastic regulation of religious preaching across the state, Leadership reports.

The governor has sent a bill titled ‘A bill for a law to substitute the Kaduna state religious preaching law, 1984′ to the state House of Assembly to regulate religious preaching across the state.

The bill is also targeted at banning the use of loudspeakers for religious purposes “other than inside a Mosque or Church and the surrounding areas outside the stipulated prayer times.”

The governor is also asking the lawmakers to enact the law that will stop the playing or circulating of “all cassettes, CDs, flash drives or any other communication gadgets containing religious recordings from accredited preachers other than inside one’s house, porch, Church, Mosques and other designated place of worship.”

Also, playing of any cassette containing “religious recordings in which abusive language is used against any person or religious organisation or religious leaders (past or present)” will also be banned as well as sales of religious books, usage of abusive and derogatory terms in describing any religion.

The broken home of the northern family. In effortless ceremony, a man got hitched to his wife and swiftly a family setting begun. In no time, Allah bless them with a boy and joy raided the air. Just as the boy clocks three years, he is escorted by the father into the city to learn the Quran. Yes, a three year old is forcefully pulled away from his mother to God knows where! The father returns home to the embrace of his wife in kulle. Putus -another baby is on the way as the first one is left forgotten. The mallam in his wisdom has been blessed by Allah and using his economic dexterity, he sends the poor child into the street to ask for arms. In the harshest of the street, the 3 years old boy learns survival instincts. He battles ruggedly against unexpected elements. In no time, he becomes a champion of the street. Unfortunately, he is cut off from the affinity of family bonds, he has no relations to share feelings with as this lad is left for the street to mould him into her dictates. He becomes vicious, angry and paranoid. To subdue his anger against his mallam, he is told never to question his conditions as it is Allah's will for him. He is told to hate those who don't belong to his religion and with unmitigated fury, he brews in anger against the people in the society. With age catching up with him, the street becomes uninhabitable for him. He can't longer beg because no one give alms to an able bodied man. He resorts to crime-from picking pockets to petty stealing and eventually to violent crimes. He is completely a nuisance to the society. The lucky ones amongst his peers are recruited into political thuggery and others brainwashed into religious fundamentalism. As the circle of the almajiri life continues, he is arrested for any of the crimes above and made to serve jail terms. After years in confinement, he comes out more bitter, frustrated and hopeless. With no task to do, he takes to selling water and ridding okada. Again, he continues his romance with the streets. Like a walking corpse, he moves around with fist of furry and stained mind of hate. He is quick to start a fight because he has nothing to lose. Because you are too sophisticated to him, you treat him with disdain and quick to pour verbal venom on him. In the blink of an eye, he draws out his pocket knife and press it to your fine body. While you writhe in pains, he flee into the streets because that is where he belongs. You learn a lesson never to engage the almajiri in a fight. Suppressed eventually by age, he become weak in the hustles of the streets and resort finally to begging as curtain of life draws on him. As he battles to bid farewell to his unfair life, he look back at the offspring of his groin -the next almajiris of his legacy. Tearfully musing

Education / Re: Why Mr Ayodele Dada Shouldn't Be Given A National Honour by barbaricman: 6:25pm On Mar 24, 2016
don4real18:

First, I wish to congratulate Mr Ayodele Dada for his academic milestone of which many have tried and many have fallen so he should keep his head held high even though he is not to first and certainly won't be the last.

I stumbled upon a writeup few days ago on how the writer says that Mr Dada deserves a national honour/award and his reason was obvious; The 5.0gpa.

And I became so confused because I thought the honour was given to those who have rendered service(s) to the benefit of the nation and after a research, I concluded that the writer alongside many others are ignorant of what the National Honour truly stands for............

Nigerian National Honours are a set of orders and decorations conferred upon Nigerians and friends of Nigeria every year. They were instituted by the National Honors Act No. 5 of 1964, during the First Nigerian Republic , to honour Nigerians who have rendered service to the benefit of the nation. The Nigerian National Honours, in descending order of importance, are:
*Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal
Republic (GCFR)
*Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger
(GCON)
*Commander of the Order of the Federal
Republic (CFR)
*Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON)
*Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic
(OFR)
*Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON)
*Member of the Order of the Federal Republic
(MFR)
*Member of the Order of the Niger (MON)

The GCFR and GCON are customarily respectively bestowed on former occupants of the office of President of Nigeria and Vice President of Nigeria including former military heads of state of Nigeria and Chiefs of General Staff. The GCON is also customarily bestowed on the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the President of the Nigerian Senate during their first year in office, while the CON is customarily bestowed on Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (culled from Wikipedia)

Now, what does Mr Dada deserve?
Still the national honour or an applaud from the education lovers
His achievement is a benefit to himself and not the nation.
What did he do for his final year project?
Does it contribute to nation building?
Did he invent any mathematical theory?

There are many 2nd class, 3rd and many that didn't even attempt jamb but are contributing towards building the nation through the creation of job opportunities.

He should go out and prove himself and not become a burden on the nation just because of a degree that is not recognised in developed countries.

He has tried and I commend him but after school, life begins......... I wish him success
Bello Wahab O.
this 5.0gpa is a scam and this just shows how our educational system is deteriorating very fast.

you don't deserve any honour! go and practice what you read in real life and you will find out that you are the dumbest of all.

Religion / Re: Why Having A Phd Is A Waste – Bishop Oyedepo by barbaricman: 5:04pm On Mar 24, 2016
Chinekepikin:
– Bishop Oyedepo has said that a doctorate degree is only but paper, except the knowledge acquired is used to impact lives

– The founder of Winners chapel made the disclosure to some PhD graduates of Covenant University in Ota, Ogun state

– Oyedepo lamented over the numerous situations in which those certified with PhDs, have little or nothing to offer

– The bishop promised to fund projects carried out by few PhD graduates of Covenant University (CU)

David Oyedepo, the presiding Bishop and founder of Living Faith Church worldwide, has said that an inability to identify problems and solve them, renders every PhD degree useless.

While addressing few PhD graduates of the Covenant University (CU) in Ota, Ogun state, Oyedepo urged people to come up with innovations that can solve problems plaguing the society.

The Chancellor, told them their inability to do so would mean their research programme was useless.

Bishop Oyedepo promised to make funds available to them to identify problems and find solutions.

Spoke at a meeting with the young scholars, Oyedepo said Nigeria has been unable to address its challenges because of a lack of capacity to get the job done.

He decried situation in which PhD holders seemingly lacked the thinking capacity.

He said: “I have come to provoke your potential. There is more inside you than the earned certificate. If you cannot think out solutions to problems, your PhD is a complete waste.

“When we say Doctor of Philosophy, we are saying master of thinkers; someone committed to finding solution to life’s problems. And until our learning translates to thinking, our PhD is zero.

“All that we have done going through the rigour of PhD is to ignite our thinking capacity. It’s so important that we have what it takes to recreate our country and the world.

” Hinting that Nigeria has more PhDs than four European countries, Oyedepo wondered why Nigeria was not getting similar result as the Europeans.

“The gas turbine (at CU) was not working because Shell was on strike. So why can’t students of Chemical Engineering build reserves? Why do we look at problems as if we are not concerned?”

Oyedepo said the scholars must learn to management themselves, time and task, to be able to provide solutions to problems.

He noted that the scholars must learn to manage themselves, for qualitative production.

Meanwhile, Oyedepo has challenged the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to proffer solutions to the socio-economic challenges facing Nigeria rather than blaming any political party or individual for the current travails facing the nation.

He also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to be more sensitive to issues that affect ordinary Nigerians.
