GRACEGLORY: I own a female caucasian. I was researching, and stumbled across this piece of information which has highly arouse my curiosity:
The Caucasian Shepherd dog is highly compromised in standards even in it’s home countries of Georgia Republic,Azerbaijan,Armenia and Russia.
We once wrote an article about the many faces of the Caucasian shepherd dog in Nigeria. However every where in most countries the Caucasian shepherd suffers a level of compromise.
There are very large, almost 100 kg Caucasian shepherds.
There are agile docked tailed, cropped eared Wolf Killers among this breed Then there are also weak,slow,50kg-60kg Caucasian shepherds that look like obese Alsatians, but with more of a fox or wolf like muzzle.
By some standards, the Caucasian shepherd has no maximum height limit, that is it is anywhere from 30 inches to above 36 inches. Said height achieved without mixing with the know tallest breeds,Great Danes and Irish Wolfhounds.
Therefore it is a most difficult task to get an IDEAL Caucasian Shepherd dog.
For us a 32 inches tall,90 kg,prime well muscled Caucasian, fawn, docked tail, cropped ears from the Wolf killing stock and fighting bloodline, the sort used then to guard fugitives and to kill wolves in it’s home country.
Has anyone observed this in his/her Co, or does it mean our Co's are not full breeds. Really, i have observed different faces of the Co in my Environment.
Guys ?
Source: http://dogsarena.net/blog/2014/03/08/caucasian-shepherd-vs-boerboel/ Caucasian Ovcharka is actually russian and its root can be traced 2 the country but other countries adopted it and some mixed it along the way with St. Benard, and other breeds...I can't find the link I learnt all these from but will upload....there's something they call face mask that they use to differentiate; but differs in different dogs, then naturally their aggression. ...then their paws.....I read an hilarious advert by 1 dude here saying he has Caucasian shepherd and mountain caucasian for sale......we really shd find out b4 these so called breeders sell us with names and english modified: some links I got www.russiandog.net/caucasian-dog.htmlwww.courageouscaucasians.com/breedcharacteristics.htmwww.dogbreedinfo.com/caucasianowtcharka.htm |

Sincere9gerian: For many other Nigerians, it's been 100 wasted days. Let's examine the sectors one after the other:
1. Fight against corruption. It's been a 100 days of fighting corruption on the pages of newspapers, no policy, no programmes and no structural institutional changes.
2. Promised public asset declaration. Buhari has failed to declare his assets publicly as promised. For a govt that is sincere on fighting corruption, this should have been a quick win. What does Buhari, a so called clean man of integrity, have to hide? If Buhari wants to be taken seriously on his fight against corruption, then he must declare his assets publicly because he that comes to equity, must come with clean hand.
3. Govt appointments. Going by the 35 appointments made so far, the Buhari govt has turned out to be the most divisive, vindictive and tribalistic ever. We're seeing the worst form of nepotism. The current national debate alone on the issue of federal appointments shows that it has never been this bad.
4. Power sector. The president said in his inaugural speech that "studies are underway to identify the quickest way to bring power to Nigerians". It seems the study is not yet over because so far, no plans, no programmes and no projects for the power sector. The power sector is on autopilot mode from what was done in the last administration.
5. Oil sector. Besides the change in leadership of NNPC, nothing more has happened in the oil sector. No projects, no policy and no programmes
6. 100 days in office and more the 5 months after being elected, still no cabinet in place. All the MDAs are on autopilot mode
7. Most federal projects are stalled. Work has stopped on Lagos-Ibadan road, Second Niger bridge and many other federal roads 8. The economy is on standstill, no finance minister, no economic policy and no direction I disagree. all these ministries have Permanent Secretaries who know the ministry inside out. Any minister will need a 'honeymoon' period b4 he can understand what is needed or how it functions. It is a masterstroke what PMB has done; he knows exactly what the ministry needs b4 he appoints some1 there so he won't be sold a dummy.....have u ever thought of it? guess not....u just want a minister bah.....he has submitted his asset to the concerned channel; left to them to make it public....guess ur mind skippd that too |

Pets › Dog Seminar Can Spice Up This Section by barcaboi(op): 9:06am On Aug 31, 2015 |
Lots of people love dogs but don't know what it entails to have one or raise one successfully. A reliable firm can organise seminars and teach them lots of things on dog life generally. As an animal scientist, I wouldn't mind learning how to inject my dog myself but I know a lay person could make a mistake (so that is open for debate). Sharing of ideas about feeding, management can go a long way in helping dog lovers and reduce extortion of their hard earned cash from supposed breeders. I research a lot and I share my research with random people because I'm not after the cash but for the love of dogs. If a company like JOJO or the likes can sponsor a seminar like we have with fish feed seminar; it'll make dogs happier and the owners less prone to mistakes which might be costly. My posts on Nairaland have helped one or two people and that gladdens me. Seun, Proteegee, Booqee and others can brood on this and we can come 2geda to achieve something. The dog walk is a very good avenue (though I missed the last edition)..... |

Pierocash: I stil maintain my position, Jonathan looted more than this thieves of Atiku, IBB, Abacha altogether.what was d price of crude oil during their regime? what was Nigeria debt profile as of d time of them leaving office compared to nw? hw much was Nigeria's foreing reserve compared to nw? how much was a dollar to naira compared to nw? what of electricity Condition during IBB regime compare it nw.despite d fact that Jonathan sold more crude and generated more revenue more than IBB, ABACHA,OBJ, and Yaradua altogether.people dnt know this, they just vent their tantrums out of sentiment and ignorance, just go and research on this and come back and quote me wrong.Jonathan is d most brutal criminal Nigeria has ever had. as much as we hated Abacha; he created PTF and put Buhari in charge so that excess cash from crude oil will be saved and used for something else. GEJ depleted PTDF.... |

I love pple wt brain and uve got loads of it.....I dash u kiss....I thought they said GMB is a religious bigot...awon were.....I'll copy and paste this on Facebook Sweetlemon: Since it's in vogue to check demographics of appointees rather than their track records, very well then we shall do so. While most of us are shouting "Northern Agenda" Let's take a closer look at this expression called "North". Let's be sincere, when we hear North, the first thing that comes to mind is Hausa/Fulani/Muslim. But we have all forgotten or simply refused to learn that North is divided into Geographically: 1. North East 2. North West 3. North Central
Demographically: 1. Core Muslim 2. Almost 200 Minority tribes 3. A fair chunk of Christian population 4. Hausa/Fulani plus Kanuri Majority Tribes
Simply put, the North is 5 times more complex than the South. Now let's examine possible reasons why we just assume North to be Hausa/Fulani/Muslim. The answer is not rocket science. It's simply because Hausas and Fulanis have been dominating the Northern scene since forever. Now let's take a closer look at Buhari's Northern appointments so far; Did we miss the fact that a fair number of the ones in sensitive posts are from minority tribes and in fact Christians?? Now help me ask yourselves, when last did Northern Christians get recognition? When last did we hear of tribes like Kilba, Angas, Tula, Waja? Is it not indeed some sort of change from the usual Hausa/Fulani/SS/Yoruba/Igbo/Muslim we keep hearing all over the place? Ok nau. Are we aware of the SGF is a Pastor of proven integrity? Don't you think that empowering and recognizing the Christians and minority tribes will go a long way in checking insurgencies and attacks on these vulnerable people by Fulani herdsmen, etc? Are you now trying to say that these minorities in the North who have never been given recognition but have been patiently waiting are lower and inferior Nigerians? Don't they deserve spots just like the conventional Yorubas which make up SW, Igbos which make up SE and then the different SS tribes?
I'm not done yet. Have we noticed that these appointees are not your usual politicians? Does that not mean that it won't be the "awon goons mi" business as usual? They were almost regular people until Buhari made them popular, meaning they don't have a never-ending list of goons they need to reward. I know most disappointed APC fans had placed their bets on Onu, Fashola, and Ameachi. They have erroneously seen Nigeria politics as a sport betting game or a fantasy football league where you conjure up your own "dream team". Smh.
If we still insist on this marginalization talk can we ask ourselves these questions?;
1. Is there more stable electricity in North than in the south? 2. The clean up in sectors so far, does it in the long run affect only Northerners? If the EFCC, Customs, pensions, NNPC etc are functioning properly does it not mean better for us as a whole? When last did you queue for fuel? 3. Buhari just ordered clean up of ogoni areas, (let's not forget we just had an ND son there for the past five years!) Are Northerners the ones to benefit from this exercise?
Can we please just relax our muscles a bit while we watch how things eventually play out? I don't know why the average Nigerian does not think outside the box. These points here are things I pray each and every person reading this will ponder on with at least half an open mind. This is the first time I will be begging the mods to move my thread to FP. My message must touch as many hearts as possible. Call me a hopeless Nigeria-lover. Yeah I know I am because I'm the type that loves with all my heart, I may get angry but I still love.
Good bless The Federal Rebublic of Nigeria! Sai Buhari!
Cheers!

Do you know how many things girls do that pisses guys off? But in many cases, the guy just bears it. But on the other hand, you girls expect a guy to be perfect just because of you.
I've learnt in life that whenever I meet a woman who nags over little things, best thing's to run else, the relationship won't last.
By the way, I don't think you should add bad grammar up there because not everyone was afforded the opportunity to attend good schools or even attend any. I see it as discrimination.

Finally i got the link back. Excerpts from it:
Smokey aka "Blue Sapphire's Touch
of Gray" the blue German Shepherd
Dog at 4 years old— "Smokey is a solid
blue German Shepherd. His sire, VA-1,
SG, Kreislauf Zidane SCH I, Kkl1a (a)
fast normal hips, normal elbows was an
import from Finland. The couple that
bought him was so excited and when
they bred him to their solid black female
they were shocked when two of the
pups were an odd gray color. So off to
the internet they went and, since I built
BlueDogs back in 1999 as an
educational reference on the blue and
liver color genes in the GSD breed, a
search normally brings up my site at the
top of the list. That's when I get an e-
mail from someone who has never even
heard of blue or liver in the GSD breed
before. Being a solid blue (I suspect he
is dominant K self color) often means
very yellow and bright wolf like eyes.
For this reason not only has he, but
most of our other dogs have been
mistaken for wolf hybrids . One of our
neighbors actually went and bought a
puppy from a nearby breeder for his
son.
