Politics / Forgery: Kwara Fed. Lawmaker Wanted by Bas2017: 8:13am On Mar 22
CERTIFICATE FORGERY: JUDGE DIRECTS POLICE TO ARRAIGN HON.SABA ADAMU IN COURT TO FACE JUSTICE

In a significant legal development, a High Court of justice sitting in Apo, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has directed the police to arraign a Lawmaker representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency of Kwara State, Adamu Saba who is facing five counts charge of alleged certificate falsification, to face justice.

During today's session on March 21, 2024, the presiding Judge, Angela O. Otaluka, is visibly annoyed over the police's failure to present the suspect in court, directed that Hon. Saba Adamu, the suspected certificate forger, be arraigned in court promptly to face justice.

As a result of failure of the police prosecutor to produce the suspect in court and coupled with an application for adjournment by the prosecutor, F. G. Gabriel Esq. to either the 27th or 28th day of May, 2024, the court struck out the case for lack of diligent prosecution on the part of the police pending when the police will be ready to produce and arraign the said lawmaker in court.

The Judge said despite five previous adjournments, the police failed to produce the accused/defendant, Hon. Saba Adamu in court, prompting the court to take decisive action and express dissatisfaction with the police.

Consequently, the court struck out the case, saying the case shall be reopened again when the police are able to produce the suspect Hon. Saba Adamu in the law court.

It will be recalled that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) instituted a five-count criminal charge marked CR/94/2022, bordering on the alleged falsification of academic certificate against the member representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, Ahmed Saba Adamu.

The lawmaker allegedly forged a bachelor of science in economics certificate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Ahmed Saba Adamu was alleged to have used the forged certificate to secure mobilisation for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, contrary to section 363 of the Penal code Law.

Stay tuned for further updates as this story unfolds.

Politics / Opinion: Nigeria Today By Adam Yakub, ACA by Bas2017: 6:19pm On Aug 20, 2021
Nigeria Today!

I am from a country of black people, beautiful culture, and religiously blindfolded.

In this country, POWER, AUTHORITY, ROYALTY, WEALTH is confined in a circle of the acclaimed leaders, and when you possess the above listed you also want to enter the circle because that is where the Pareto 80/20 rule operates. It is no longer about your knowledge and skills but rather about how well you position yourself to fit in the circle.

Policymakers are enslaved to work for the circle and the masses outside the circle are more enslaved to clap for the circle.

However we may like to put it, the bad system is good for the evil, and unarguably, everyone is evil in one way or the other. I don’t see this changing anytime soon as it has become a norm and seen to be a jungle where success depends on the survival of the fittest.

It'll interest you to know that the intelligent ones don’t also want to go hungry, so they rather positioned themselves well for their household to enter the circle and let the system continued.

I feel sorry for myself and the 80% that gives the number for the circle and being carried away with the glitters without a sincere action to change the system.

To talk about the culture a little bit here. The circle has recreated the culture, redesigned and fine-tune it for what suits them.

Religion has been rigorously affected, recreated to become a lucrative strategy for keeping the circle.

Ceteris Paribus, nothing will change until we want it to change and we all change ourselves, purify our souls sincerely with no one's help but rather with oneself.

Verily, a remembrance is for the wise!!!

Politics / Opinion: Freedom Of Speech And It's Boundary By Buhari Abubakar Saddiq by Bas2017: 4:24pm On Jul 28, 2021
By Abubakar Saddiq Buhari (Buhariofkwara)

Nigeria’s constitution protects the right to freedom of expression and provides that any restriction to this right must be justifiable in a democratic society. However, the sect of the constitution is on daily basis being misconstrued and abused. Some are done unconsciously while some are done in a deliberate attempt to discredit, ridicule and expose the subjects to hatred and mockery.

A Nigerian Musician once said in a lyrics that " There's freedom of speech but freedom after speech is what I can't assure you" what this literally mean is that one should know what to rightly say in the presence of the said Freedom of Speech.

For this reasons, the alarming rate at which Freedom of Speech is misconceived is worrisome and calls for an urgent need for the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to make a rigorous nationwide campaign on the clarity of Freedom of Speech, properly distinguishing the limitations of the contentious part of the Nigerian Constitution. Because any frivolous allegation being made on the personhood of any citizen can be made to be accounted for or proven. As commonly witnessed in every other country guided by laws.

Having considered the misconceptions, it is imperative for citizens to know that any statement that reflects on anyone's reputation and tends to lower them in the estimation of a right-thinking member of the society or tends to make them shun or avoid them can not be protected by freedom of speech, unless the veracity of such a statement is being put to test by a competent court of law.

The Etsu of Tsaragi is today 30 years on the throne of his forefathers. The 1st Class revered Royal Father was crowned as the Etsu Tsaragi on the 22nd of May, 1991. He was at the age 34 when he became the Ruler of Tsaragi Emirate, an Emirate with over hundred and fourty villages and hamlets, after the demise of his late father.

His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi Kpotwa is a father and traditional ruler whom i draw a great sense of inspiration from the fairness, valour and zeal in leading Tsaragi Emirate which are the required factors in advancing peace and progress of a community.

A great ruler and leader is said to possess certain personality traits, which includes but not limited to; ability to inspire the people who work with them to become a better version of themselves through setting a pedagogical examples and encouragements, must be fair in addressing issues among his subjects, must be a true promoter of societal peace and unity, his concerns for the welfare of the masses must be unwavering. Interestingly, the Etsu who assumed the throne at a relatively young and dynamic age is embodied with the features highlighted above.

While thanking God for sparing his life till today, I pray for Allah's continued protection and guidance for him and the entirety of Tsaragi Emirate, so that the Emirate shall continue to progress and live in an harmonious atmosphere. Congratulations Baagandozhi!

According to the statement personally signed by him and made available to Nairaland today.

"The Agricultural Expert imbibed Muslims to adhere to the practices of the just concluded Fasting.

"The Holy month of Ramadan is a blessing to those who yearn for the acceptance of the Creator and who in obedience have fasted to acquire piety and discipline. This period of unquestioning restraint strengthens the believer’s resolve to stick to the teachings of God with an unwavering loyalty.

Muslims throughout the world have for one month, refrained from food, drink and other acts that may invalidate their fast. Those who participated have no doubt emerged from the Holy month of Ramadan with a better religious outlook with the ability to subject their desires and emotions to their will.

The essential lessons of Eid-ul-Fitr encourage us to make sacrifices and to reflect on our own lives and the ways in which we can live for the benefit of our family, community and Natio at large."

Politics / Breaking: How Shuaibu Yaman Was Attacked By Aggrieved Supporters by Bas2017: 7:57pm On Feb 08, 2021
Our attention has been drawn to a misinformation being circulated in the media.

"Breaking News!!!
The two gubernatorial aspirants from kwara north, Alhaji Tajudeen Abdulkadir Audu and Alhaji S.Y Abdullahi, together with APC stakeholders, Alh MT Mamman and Engr Umaru Shaaba has been attacked during a stakeholders meeting at lafiagi organized by Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq thugs lead by Tescom chairman, Bello car wash, Barr Aliyu Alhassan former SA and former chairman labassa."

Ordinarily, we would not have joined issues with people that are still aggrieved of losing out on the number one seat in the state, when it is God that gives power and gives to whom he deems fit.

We will not allow the misinformation and direct assault on our persons to go unchallenged.

Alhaji S.Y Abdullahi and co who are aggrieved were attacked by his supporters who are also aggrieved as they are fed up with his antics and leadership style, that is dated back to the early years of Bukola Saraki in Kwara politics.

The supporters of Alhaji S.Y Abdullahi accused him of not looking back since he was appointed as a commissioner into revenue fiscal and mobilisation commission (RMAFC), they said they haven't seen him since he took the appointment and only suddenly appeared now, with a new tune that governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman is not a good person, and knowingly to them, governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman is working as they've seen the good works of his administration with their own eyes and accused him of not helping a single individual since he took his appointment.

The same Alhaji S.Y Abdullahi sometimes ago, brought Bukola Saraki to them to support, which they did and later he told them Bukola Saraki is a bad person that, they should not follow him again.

Later, he came with Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman to campaign on grounds that they've known each other for over 30years, now he's back to tell them not to follow Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman after months of abandoning them.

His supporters showed their frustrations this time and asked him to stop using and dumping them to achieve his aims.

We will advise Alhaji S.Y Abdullahi and his fellow aggrieved members to appease to their own base who have seen through their political gimmicks.

BREAKING: COURT DISMISSES CERTIFICATE FORGERY CHARGE AGAINST FEDERAL LAWMAKER

An Abuja Area Court on friday dismissed the case of certificate forgery filed against Ahmed Ndakene, representing Idu/Moro/Pategi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Mr Ndakene was brought before the court to answer a criminal complaint on the alleged criminal breach of section 88(1), 89(3) and 109c of the Administrative Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015.
The complainant, Mahmud Babako, a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the election that Mr Ndakene emerged winner, under the All Progressive Congress, alleged that Mr Ndakene forged his certificates.
Mr Babako also alleged that the said forged document was presented to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the form he used to contest for the election.
Delivering judgment, Justice Ismail Jibril dismissed the suit.

Mr Jibril held that the decision of the court was based on the police report earlier read by the court clerk.
The judge in addition discharged the defendant and ordered that a copy of the police report be made available to the counsel representing both parties.
The prosecution argued that the police was tasked by law to find out the authenticity of the credentials presented and used by Ndakene for the election, whether they were forged or not.

COURT GIVES CONSEQUENTIAL ORDERS TO POLICE TO SUBMIT REPORT OF INVESTIGATION AGAINST KWARA LAWMAKER IN TEN DAYS

The Upper Area Court, Karmo has ordered the Nigeria Police Command, Abuja to submit the report of it's investigation to the Court within ten days. This is to enable the court make progress in the matter which had been lingering owing to the tardiness the police exhibited as regards the report it was meant to submit after several adjournments.

You may recall that the court had earlier ordered the police to either submit its report or make available to the court an interim report for the court to weigh the merit of the Direct Criminal Complaints brought before it by Mahmoud Hassan Babako. The police earlier admitted that the report was ready except certain information that they were expecting from the West African Examinations Council.

The case which started de novo today went on without any report from the police. Counsel to Honourable Ndakene applied for accelerated hearing, pursuant to Section 350 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act. This application was granted by the Court who adjourned the case to the 30th of September, 2020.

The court also noted that the delay in the case was unnecessary, given the nature of the Direct Criminal Complaint, and stressed that it may be compelled to reroute the investigation to another government agency if the police fails to make its reports available within ten days.

HON. NDAKENE VISITS NEMA, SEEKS ASSISTANCE FOR FLOOD VICTIMS

The Honourable Member Representing the good people of Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene has sought the intervention of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in alleviating the sufferings of communities affected by flood in Edu, Moro and Patigi Local Government Areas of his Constituency.

Earlier this week, the agrarian communities in Edu, Moro and Patigi Local Governments were devastated by flood which submerged several hectares of farmland making them inaccessible, leading to loss of farm produce worth millions of Naira. The victims, whose only source of livelihood is farming, have equally been rendered homeless leaving them to the vagaries of the elements.

Honourable Ndakene, who was touched by the plight of the victims, called on NEMA to act with dispatch in order to provide succour to the affected people. In his letter dated 11th day of September, 2020, Hon. Ndakene listed all the affected communities to ensure that none was left out in government intervention.

While reacting to the menace of flooding, the legislator said government has a duty to be there for the people in time of emergency and noted that flooding has spillover effect on food security, and it has the tendency of dampening the morale of farmers where they are left on their own.

In the same vein, Latta-Nna community which was engulfed by communal clash recently, will soon heave a sigh of relief, as Hon. Ndakene's earlier call for assistance has been approved by NEMA, and relief materials will soon reach the victims of the violence.

Mafari Discovers a New Nature in Kwara State

In our quest to explore the world, capture its beauty, and showcase life through the lens; nature came to us in a form we recognize. A form in which we exist.

On a tour to Fulani settlement in a small town in Asa LGA, Kwara state - something unexpected captured our attention. Alone in the wild, stood the phenomenon - a rock with a human face. This beautiful piece of nature left us with admiration. A feeling that we're becoming accustomed to as we continue to explore.

The event that led to the discovery of nature was astonishing. On our way to the settlement, our lead car got stuck in a stone and couldn't move either front or backward, in our effort to pull out the car, some of our colleagues went on looking for something, possibly stone to be used in pulling out the car, surprisingly they encountered the unknown but beautiful creature-- at first, some were scared of coming close to it.

It looks scary in its entirety, plus the fact that it is located in the wilderness. In our anxiety and desire to dig more we moved closer, played around it, took pictures, and spent some time discussing the amazing creature we never knew existed in Kwara.

Our hope is that this discovery can lead to research on the origin of the rock and also bring the community to limelight by being a tourist center.

We at Mafari media are here to journey the world. Keep tabs on our activities as we unlock more beautiful places in Nigeria and beyond. We are here to showcase life through the lens.

Politics / Alleged Forgery Against Kwara-Federal Lawmaker: Court Ordered Input Of CP by Bas2017: 2:04pm On Jul 06, 2020
An Upper Area Court in Karmo, Abuja has directed the police to ensure that the Commissioner of Police verifies investigation carried out before submitting their report to the Court.

You may recall that the Court ordered investigation into the case of allegation of certificate forgery leveled against the Honourable Member representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency.

Although the Complainant, Mahmud Babako, a PDP House of Representative Candidate who lost to the APC candidate, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar in the last election, had urged the Court to commence trial without investigation, a position which was opposed by the Legislator as unconstitutional, the Court ruled that investigations be carried out to ascertain the basis of the allegations within two weeks.

On the last adjourned date, the police, who were unable to complete their investigations, asked for more time for them to complete it. This was objected to by the Complainant who asked the court to transfer the case to a ''Higher Police Division' for lack of proper investigation". The Court adjourned to today to give its rulings on the Application of the Complainant.

In its ruling, the Court ordered that in the overall interest of justice and in line with the provisions of Section 1 (1) and (2) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, the Preliminary Report by the Police be be forwarded to the Commissioner of Police for authentication, ratification, and Conclusion before submitting same to the court within seven (7) working days.

The case was further adjourned to the 15th day of July, 2020.

Politics / Again: Court Further Adjourned Case Against Kwara-federal Lawmaker by Bas2017: 5:26pm On Jul 01, 2020
Area Court Grade 1, sitting in Karmo has further adjourned the case against Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene. Babako's (the complainant's ) Lawyers in a curious move asked the court to transfer investigation in the case they instituted against the Honourable Member representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency.

You may recall that the Court ordered investigation into the matter and declined to prosecute Hon. Ndakene without investigation.

The police, who had since commenced investigation into the matter asked the Court to give them additional one week to complete their investigations.

Babako's Lawyers however objected to this, citing contempt of court on account of the inability of the police to produce the report of the investigation and asked that the case to be transferred from Utako Police Division to a higher Division.

Ndakene's Lawyers who berated this approach referred the Court to the provisions of Section 36 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and Section 1 (1) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015, which emphasised the need for fair hearing and substantial justice.

Ndakene urged the court to discountenance the application by Mahmud Hassan Babako and grant the request by the police to submit their reports, as granting such application will further delay the matter and cause further distraction to the Lawmaker.

The court adjourned the case to the 6th day of July, 2020 for ruling on Babako's applications while awaiting police report on the investigation. The court based the adjournment on the fact that parties had joined issues and it had become imperative that he deliver a ruling on the issues raised.

Politics / Babako Desperately Wants Court To Transfer Investigation To "Superior Police Div by Bas2017: 2:21pm On Jul 01, 2020
Babako's Lawyers in a desperate move asked the court to transfer the investigation in the case they instituted against the Honourable Member representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency.

You may recall that the Court ordered investigation into the matter and refused to prosecute Hon. Ndakene as pleaded by Babako's Lawyers. The police, who had since commenced investigation into the matter asked the Court to give them additional one week to complete their investigations.

Babako's Lawyers however objected to this, citing contempt of court on account of the inability of the police to produce the report of the investigation. Babako, in a bid to further waste the time of the Court and prolong this matter in court, asked for the transfer of the case from Utako Police Division to a higher Division.

Ndakene urged the court to discountenance the application by Babako and grant the request by the police to submit their reports.

One would wonder why the complainant (Babako) is in desperate mode. Could it be the fear of the repercussions of bringing false allegations against a Legislator in a bid to distract and drag him in the mud? Could it be that Babako needed more time to perfect another nefarious scheme?

Babako may have landed himself in a legal logjam he may never recover from. You cannot lay false allegations against a person and try to truncate investigation into the spurious and baseless claims.

The court adjourned the case to the 6th day of July, 2020 for ruling on Babako's applications and police report on the investigation.

Politics / Breaking: Court Declined To Try Kwara Federal Lawmaker, Ndakene by Bas2017: 12:11pm On Jun 11, 2020
COURT DECLINED TO TRY KWARA FEDERAL LAWMAKER, ASKS POLICE TO INVESTIGATE MAHMUD BABAKO'S ALLEGATIONS.

The Court today declined to commence trial in the direct criminal complaint filed by Babako against Hon. Ahmed Ndakene.

You may recall that Babako, through his Lawyers, had on the 3rd day of June, 2020, prayed the Court to allow him prosecute the Legislator whom he alleged to have made false declarations.

Hon. Ndakene's team of Lawyers argued that Babako and his Lawyers lacked the power to prosecute him as they are not prosecutors and have not secured any fiat to prosecute him.

The Court in its rulings agreed with the submission of Hon. Ndakene and ordered that the matter be investigated by the police. It further stated that the allegations are so weighty that it would be wrong to go ahead with prosecution without investigation.

The Court cautioned both parties to admonish their supporters to refrain from publishing false information about the proceedings of the court thereby misleading members of the public. The court warned that such acts may attract contempt proceedings.

Babako, who contested the 2019 elections into the Federal House of Representatives and lost, had earlier asked for the court to allow him prosecute without fiat.

Sources equally noted that Babako had been moving from pillars to post in a bid to put a wedge in the wheel of the steady progress of Ndakene who had emerged as a rising star in his constituency.

Well wishers and supporters of Hon. Ndakene who serenaded the court premises were thrown into joy after the court declined to commence prosecution until after investigation.
They all noted that the entire scheme which was meant to persecute the Hon. Member of the National Assembly will only make him stronger and more committed to his Legislative duties, and that they are ready (more than ever) to support him in all his endeavors.

Hon. Ndakene Certificate Saga; A Dangerous Path Shongalites Should Avoid

_~ Shonga Emirate Youths Warns Crises Patrons_

Social media has been recently agog with allegations and counter allegations, accusations and counter accusations of a certificate forgery involving a serving House of Representatives member, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene and Mr. Hassan Babako, his contender in the 2019 general election. There is no doubt that the central theme in this issue is not for the development of the immediate community of the two contenders, that is, Shonga Emirate but absolutely aimed at achieving self aggrandizement not minding the possible detriments that it may cause Shonga Emirate which is suppose to enjoy the political fruits ripe on its tree.

To start with, Mr. Hassan Babako has accused Hon. Ndakene of forging is ABU (A famous and leading Nigerian University) degree certificate. An allegation we find very difficult to believe not because it is not possible but because it will be senseless and thoughtless for one in Nigeria to forge Ahmadu Bello University Certificate and use same to contest for a Federal House of Representatives knowing fully well that the world is now a global village and too interconnected that such will easily come to lime light if done. After all, Degree is not the minimum requirement for contesting an election in Nigeria, not even the office of the President, so, why would one under take such adventure whose risk of exposure outweighed it secrecy? At first, the allegation was about his SSCE Certificate, later it was switched to Degree Certificate. Well, Time shall tell as the issue is now in court. .

The second leg of the accusation, although not yet taken officially, is that Mr. Hassan Babako who is supposed to be believed to be a graduate of Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto also did not graduate from the alleged university. This, the promoters of this assertion explained why Babako did not use the said alleged forged UDU degree certificate as his highest qualification while submitting his documents to INEC bit opted for SSCE. I began to wonder why one who holds a first degree will opt to use SSCE as his highest qualification in a contest? Only time shall tell.

The third leg of the accusation is the believe by some quarters that Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman is the Director General of the political script that Hon. Babako is playing with Hon. Ndakene. The reason for this believe is not far fetched. It is not longer a news that Alh. Shuaibu Yaman is nursing governorship ambition, the position he fought up til primary election level with the current governor of the state. This same ambition is still believed to be alive and awaiting 2022 before it start manifesting and it also expected that Hon. Ndakene would want to go for a second term. Coincidentally, both Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman and Hon. Ndakene are from the same Shonga Emirate and off course, the two positions can not be left to Shonga Emirate alone. So, they believed Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman would want Hon. Ndakene out of his political way. Only time shall tell.

The Dangerous Nature of this Path and How Shonga Emirate Will Suffer It If Left Unchecked

It is a common saying that when two elephants fight, it is grasses that suffer. A critical perusal of the itemised three accusations above will show that it is premised on nothing but selfish interest of the key players one trying to outsmart the other. At the end of this game, it is Shonga Emirate that will bear the brunt that it may not come out of in the nearest future.

Come to think of it, Shonga Emirate people are already divided among the three political blocks each fighting the other instead of uniting to attract the needed development that Shonga Emirate is lacking in all ramifications of life. The youths are not where to be found in terms of capacity building, hospital, road network, portable water, functioning schools etc are all a mirage. In the face of all these sociopolitical and economic anomalies withholding the development of Shonga Emirate even when compared with the little that are happening in the other contemporary Emirates, no any sane individual will choose to chase away the little opportunity we have now in Shonga Emirate to right the long time wrong and fuel the vehicle of emancipation and development for the benefit of all because of selfish interest.

The youths who are the key tools that this behind the scene players are using need to have a rethink and follow the path of unity for development.

The position occupied by Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene is an envious one that is capable of transforming and rewriting the history of Shonga Emirate in terms solution to its challenges. The gentle man is already laying a foundation for a good and quality representation. In his less than one year in office, he has been able to touch lives in positive ways, empowering the youths, nominating life changing projects in the National budget, supporting the small scale business women among other viable adventures.

It is important to state that when Engr. Yunusa Yahaya of Tsaragi was there, he was supported with two hands of Tsaragi people. They had their political differences but they never witch hunt him and try to bring him down Tsaragi had its taste of goodies of that office through out the eight years of his tenure. Hon. Aliyu Ahman Patigi just finished his tenure of 12 years and was all the time supported by the people of his immediate emtoday and today, Patigi Emirate is the envy of all because the goodies that comes with the office he occupied, the same office Hon. Ndakene is occupying today.

Why then should the case of Shonga Emirate be different? Posterity will not forgive you all if for your selfish reason you deny the people of Shonga Emirate this wonderful opportunity of turning things around.

Fellow youths, we advice that we don't allow ourselves to be used as tools for political fight of selfish interest because that will not yield anything but underdevelopment.

We leave us all to our conscience.

HON ABUBAKAR NDAKENE STANDS REMOVED AND BE JAILED?
An honorable National Assembly Member representing Edu//Patigi/Moro constituency, Alh Abubakar Ndakene, who contested under the umbrella of APC in the last election is been sued by his opponent Baako, who contested against him under the political platform of PDP, before an Upper Magistrate Court sitting in Abuja, the nation capital, for alleged certificate falsification.

Presentation of certificate of atleast upto primary school cert is one of the preconditions stated by section 106(c)of CFRN for the qualification to contest an election to the legislative chamber of National Assembly.

Therefore, if Hon Ndakene is found wanting of presenting a forged result, he has violated the section mentioned above. And had also committed perjury which if found guilty stands removed from office and consequently stands to be jailed.

However, to what extent or under what law Baako, the plaintiff has the locus standi within his personal capacity to institute criminal proceedings against the defendant when section 172(1) and 211 (1)of the 1999 constitution is unequivocally explicit when it states unambiguously that: The attorney general of a state and federation respectively shall have the power:

To institute and undertake criminal proceedings against any person before any court in Nigeria... In any offence created by law.

However such power could be delegated by him in person or through officers of his department.
See the case of State v. Commissioner of police, A.G Oyo State, and or (1CNLR1982).

In a circumstance of section 342 of criminal procedure act applicable in southern Nigeria, where a private body instituted criminal suit, a fiat most be obtained from the office of the attorney general. Therefore, the can not file the suit against the defendant for a criminal offence under his personal capacity.

The suit against Hon Ndakene can be preliminarily dismissed for lack of jurisdictional competence.

RE: SHOW YOUR CERTIFICATES, IF YOU HAVE ANY AND STOP THE MALIGNANCIES AGAINST OUR HEROES.

Our attention has been drawn to a falsehood and show of inconsistency being peddled in the social media by some faceless groups who hides under the umbrella of "True children and indigenes of Shonga Emirate".

To set the record straight, In the history and since inception of political journey of the entire Shonga Emirate, the position of the House of Representatives Member has been the highest any of our own son of the soil would ever occupy. It is in this light that we will continue to appreciate and support our own Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene for his courage and sagacity for deeming it important to jostle for such important position amongst many from the three solid and vibrant Local Government Areas of Kwara North.

ON WHY NDAKENE HAS BECOME THEIR GREATEST NIGHTMARE;

1. Alhaji Ndakene, the biological father of the Honorable House of Representative Member, left an intimidating landmark achievements in the Emirate and the entire Edu Local Government during his years as the LGA Chairman from employments, infrastructures and policies etc. These numerous legacies stood him out among his peers and as such has earned him so much political respect home and away.

2. The political background of the Ndakenes and the much respect the populace has accorded the family in the recent years and up till this present moment has been a major headache and nightmare to Alh Shuaib Yaman's political career in the Emirate and the LGA as a whole.

3. Recall the build up to 2019 general elections, Shuaib Yaman aspired for the Governorship position but lost out at the APC primary elections while Hon Ndakene contested as HoR member under same party with a Mahmud Babako, also from Shonga a PDP candidate as his major contender in the election.

4. Shuaib in his own selfish wisdom wanted Ndakene to step down his political ambition in order to pave way for his own Governorship agenda, this he perceived as a threat to his chances to emerge as the party's flag bearer because they're from the same locality which may not favor him when the political zoning and scheming comes to play.

5. Shuaib Yaman who was an invisible Grand Commander of Babako's Campaign Organization in his efforts to stop Ndakene from excelling at the APC primary elections publicly told his followers on different political gatherings in Shonga not to vote for Hon Ahmed Ndakene but for AVM who's a Moro man for the reasons he couldn't disclose to his gullible followers and they couldn't question his position too as expected.

6. Interestingly, as Allah wishes, Hon Ahmed Ndakene excelled as the party's flag bearer and subsequently emerged as the authentic House of Representatives member, representing the good people of Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency.

7. Regardless that Ndakene won at the polls with a landslide victory, whilst Shuaib Yaman, an opposition within the Party was also conferred with an appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Commissioner of Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). Funny enough, Yaman was still not contended because he sees Ndakene as a major threat to his political Career.

8. There have been speculations that Shuaib Yaman also instigated the kangaroo certificate scandal by Babako against Hon Ndakene in order to distract him from his good work for the Constituency. The amalgamation of devils can't stop what God has blessed. No way!

9. We know and understand the body language of all the snakes with human flesh within and outside our Progressive Party. In no time, the wheat shall be separated from the chaff.

In this regard, We the patriotic indigenes of Shonga Emirate are reiterating our solidarity and unflinching support for own son, Hon Ahmed Ndakene, the HoR member, representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency. We urge him to be resolute and focus on his good work as usual, and not to allow the distractions of the bandwagons push him out of the positive lane he's chosen.

Babako in Certificate Scandal

Barely 24hrs after Mr. Hassan Babako filed a case against someone in court over certificate forgery, it has been revealed that Babako himself maneuvered the Usman Danfodio University's Statement of result in his possession. And this was the reason why he presented O'Level certificate as his highest obtained certificate during 2019 electoral processes affter undergoing the one year mandatory NYSC program. How can you eat your cake and still have it?

Babako is unaware of the Chinese proverb that says "When you go to dig a grave for your enemy, dig two". Probably that is why he is falling into the pit of his own making now.

Politics / Breaking News: Court Disagrees With Suit File Against Hon. Ndakene by Bas2017: 2:06pm On Jun 04, 2020
COURT DISAGREES WITH SUIT FILE AGAINST HON. NDAKENE

An Abuja Upper Area Court today disagreed with the Lawyers of Mahmud Babako, who sought to commence trial in the court based on the villainous and baseless allegations of certificate forgery masterminded by Babako to soil the good name of Honourable Ahmed Ndakene, the Honourable Member representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency.

Mahmud Babako, the Complainant in the case, contested and lost elections into the House of Representatives and has never failed to show his hatred towards Hon. Ndakene ever since he lost against him. He had since vowed to use the courts to bring down the soaring profile of the House of Representative Member.

The Complainant, out of patent bitterness, prepared and filed a baseless criminal complaints at the Upper Area Court, Abuja in a bid to rattle and distract Hon. Ndakene whose landmark achievements and popularity with his people has become the talk of town.

The court in its profound wisdom admonished the complainant to toe the line of peace, as the Honourable court will only do that which is just and proper. The court, thereafter, released the Honourable Member and adjourned to take a look at the brilliant objections and submissions made by Ndakene's legal team.

Hon. Ndakene challenged the authority of Babako and his Lawyers to try him, since they are not prosecutors and could not produce any fiat from the Attorney General to do so .

Efforts by Babako's Lawyers to convince the court to put Hon. Ndakene in the dock and try him was rebuffed by the brilliant exposition of the law on the matter by Ndakene's legal team. Ndakene argued that neither Babako nor his Lawyers posses the power to try him without following the proper procedures for instituting criminal matters in court.

The court understanding that Babako can not use the temple of justice to seek political vendetta, urged the complainant to toe the line of peace, and refused to dance to the tunes of his Lawyers.

Honourable Ndakene was released by the Court to face his Legislative duties while the case was adjourned to the 11th day of June, 2020 for ruling.

You will recall that, Babako in a bid to obtain Bench Warrant against Hon. Ndakene through the back door and ensure that he was detained by the Court, deliberately refused to serve court summons on the Honourable to notify him of the proceedings in order to incur the wrath of the court which will then order his arrest and detention. The court, however, refused to be used as pawn in Babako's chess and adjourned the case to today.

These and many more are the reckless and hopeless antics of Babako (the perennial loser), who has decided to elongate his trail of loss since the 2019 elections by pouring biles on Hon. Ndakene to scuttle his progress.

The good people of Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, who are the direct beneficiaries of the good work the Hon. Ndakene has been doing since he was elected, trooped out in their numbers to show their solidarity and support. They prayed for God's protection on him and urged him not to be distracted by antics of enemies of progress.

Signed
Buhari Abubakar Saddiq, Media Aide to the Honourable.
