The overlords behind this are most likely the same one that wanted Captain to continue to waste bench space in Falcons. Cos it truly does not make any iota of sense and is even bad for the players themselves imo.

It worked out for Rasheedat Ajibade.

Sorry, but the philosophy behind U17 is NOT to have repetitions... U17 is supposed to be developmental, which means you do a stint and move on to the next level.
Both Etim and Afolabi have NO business playing again for U17. That so called 'experience' is a misnomer and has actually stifled growth and development for others who would otherwise have been in the frame.
To me, its a silly justification of the inept approach and a convenient excuse for the incompetence of Nigerian coaches.
I mean, what 'experience' is a '17 year old' supposed to have? Seriously?

There is no philosophy. If a player is within the age bracket they should be allowed to compete. Now if u have proof that these players are older than they say then be my guest. I have no issue standing down to facts but that being said, if a player has played under a coach and knows his system in and out, that is part of experience. If that player also went through the qualification process all the way to the world cup, that is also big time experience that her teammates don't have.

Sadiq would have been the worse. He would have had nothing to offer. At least Onuachu is still doing the job he is called to do. Sadiq would have been falling all over the place. He is at the club now but would likely not score before the AFCON is over.

This is unfair. U don't have to do Sadiq like that.

How can a goalkeeper save 4 penalties? No be juju be that? 😳

Same keeper that made the mistake that helped us get into the 2019 semifinal. If he was Nigerian he would be no where near the team cheesy

So Tinubu will be speaking to the players before the match today.
A bad decision if you ask me.

It's just a phone call. If that is enough to throw us off we don't deserve to win.

In today's NBA,half of the players don't care anything about playing defense.. The same Bucks fans who didn't like his lack of defensive contribution celebrated widely when they traded Holiday, one of the best two way point guard in the league for Dame, one of the best offensive, albeit poor defensive guard of all time.

Even NBA fans don't care about defense. See how they talked nonsense about Dillon Brooks, even when the guy made 2nd team all defense they believed he would be out the league. They only bring up defense when they want to make fun of James Harden.

Nba fans might be the laziest fans in sports. They depend too much on what the media tells them and not what they see with their eyes. That's how they let Skip Bayless tell them that an hall of famer in Russell Westbrook was all of a sudden the worst player in the league.

But he averaged 19 minutes per game in his second season with the Bucks and played 68 games in total. In his 3rd season he averaged almost 15.7 minutes per game and played 38 games before he was traded. When he joined the Pacers towards the later part of that season he averaged 24.6 minutes per game playing 24 games for them and interestingly having his career high point average with them. They also won't be talking about contract renegotiation till 2025. Really do not think money is the reason.

But like you said, really hope he gets his shot with the raptors.

At Indiana he averaged 13 ppg shooting over 40 percent from 3pt and still got sent to the bench the next season. How do u explain the demotion? At the bucks he was great whenever given a chance but once the playoffs got there those chances never came.

As far as contracts go u can resign a player whenever u want. The team doesn't have to wait till his deal runs out.

Asides the stated point, thing is he's not a 2 way player. Most of the commentaries I have read online says his defence is the reason he's starts on the bench. I think with the Raptors he gets the chance to build with a team that isn't likely to make the playoffs. Funny thing is they wanted to draft him in 2020, now they get a chance to really use him if they choose to and grow with him.

Defense is not the reason. I have watched him alot and his defense is good enough to keep him on an NBA court. He has even made himself a better rebounder over his career. All this is nba politics. Jordan would easily average 10 plus a game if he had consistent minutes off the bench but that would demand a significant spike in salary which teams have not been willing to pay. Right now he has a foreign coach and a Nigerian team president, so my prayer is that he finally gets a chance.

Jordan scored 24 points vs the Hawks yesterday. Also grabbed 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal.

Jordan just went off for 17 points vs the Bulls and he only took 7 shots shocked someone told me that teams are not playing him because they don't want to end up paying him what he is really worth. The guy can at the least be a starter in the NBA, I mean just look at this performance against the Hawks.
