Abandon multitasking at once
For a long time, multitasking has been perceived as an important skill for increasing efficiency. There are still job descriptions that list ‘the ability to multitask’ as one of the required skills of an applicant. However, psychologists say that the opposite might be true. In repeated experiments conducted by different experts in 1990s and 2000s, it was proven that switching between tasks is more time consuming than performing one task at a time.

Although I'm not a student of the institution, I feel these students' pains. I just graduated from my school last August and they've refused to send the list to NYSC for mobilization, many of us weren't happy with that, cos they would delay us till May.....but here we even have people who graduated since last year and still waiting!!!!

In my own skul, my dept did not summit our names 2 student affairs 2 upload. d only names of students dat came out in d dept wer d ones dat reg their jamb reg wit student affairs. anoda case in d skul nw is dat some students mat no are showing already exist in nysc portal i.e ur mat no is already in use by someone else nd dat person is currently serving wit ur mat no. Nysc shld pls open room 4 error so will cn solve dis cases.

This is sad indeed. I just saw this same letter, attached by someone on Nysc's official facebook page and the NYSC account replied to the plea with "The school has the time table"
meaning they probably can't do anything at this point. I don't understand how UNN allowed this kind of mess, because I am sure they had all the time to compile and send this list, yet they delayed Now making the students suffer for it. I suggest you all keep pleading in all platforms, just maybe NYSC will reconsider.

According to facebook user, Promise Nwagu who shared this story, a mother of two was knocked down by a bus that suffered brake failure at Cele Bustop along the Oshodi-Apapa expressway in Lagos last week.

She wrote "My uncles wife yesterday at Cele express mile 2 oshodi express way Lagos was standing not even on the major road, a bus lost brake and took away this poor woman's life on her way to work. Living her poor Husband and 2 daughters". See a graphic pic of the deceased after the cut...

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, today revealed that the Nigeria Police Force spent N600 million in the last few years to purchase dogs. According to The Cable, Arase said this while speaking at the inauguration of the Police Dog Breeding Centre and Ultra Modern Mounted Troop in Abuja today March 10th.

Speaking at the event, Arase said spending such a huge amount of money on the importation of dogs from foreign countries that rarely adapt to the country’s policing objective, is not sustainable in the face of the economic reality of Nigeria. He said the establishment of the Police Dog Breeding Centre will help save the federal government the foreign exchange used to purchase foreign dogs.
