It was even Awori people who lumped them together and named them Egun because of the affiliation with Benin Republic since the likes of Popo, Ajase, Ewe came to settle among their Awori brothers who were already in Badagry.. Jandor is an Awori man from Badagry for example..

Ogu people or Egun people said they are not accepted among other Yorubas. They are apparently different ethnic group, they are found in Ogun and Badagry part of Lagos and are often segregated against by other Yorubas.
