Importers and Agents didn't just wake up one morning and started bringing in cars from neighbouring borders; something caused it and the government has to be blamed for this. The duties being charged on cars coming through our seaports are absolutely ridiculous to say the least. Reduce import duties, make importation through our seaports encouraging, and you will see importers competing with one another to use them.

If you go through my past post you will see where i already talk about the duty being reduce, GEJ increase the duty in the first place to i think 35%...

First of all in an effort to to make our economy grow we need to block all loopholes...

I believe the announcement of the reduction of duties will be announce in few dates so let's wait till then but this is a good development...

Did you know Benin republic does not allow dangote to to sell his cement in their country? If took Dangote one year before they allow him take his cement to Togo through their country..


We cannot be boosting their economy why ours is going down.

Are the cars people buying from Cotonou a brand new cars? NO they are Tokunbo..

The President never ban importation of Tokunbo cars into the country, Importers can bring in cars of any amount to the country through our seaports but not though land borders but that enriching another country and boosting their economy when ours is going down..


We have alot of tokunbo cars outlets in Nigeria.
