Also Yoruba sisters will be disgraceful to Christianity because they won't be truthful

Op. Before concluding, do a proper research. In Ekiti where I was born there are more than 140 towns each with a catholic church and a Yoruba parish priest. In Akure (Ondo state) as a student of Sacred Heart seminary I attended Holy Ghost Conference in 1996 where more than 500 priest, Monsignor and Bishops from Southwest gather and 99.9% of them are Yorubas.
virtually all yoruba towns have a Catholic parish just like every town in yoruba land has a central mosque that is always located close to the oba's palace!

To an extent I like the way yorubas are structutured, the are more libral than any other ethnic group in Nigeria. The have large number of muslims, Christain and traditional worshipers and yet hardly discriminate though when I was serving in one western state the Christains there complain of marginalization by the muslims. Even there different christain dorminations are some how balanced. But Igbos are mainly Catholic and conservative
A tribalist will not agree with you.it is in the west you see smooth blending of arabian, european and african style.

Politics › Re: Saraki And Tinubu, Who Is More Influential by Basic123: 9:13pm On Apr 01, 2017
Diplomaticbeing:
Foremost, note that there's a difference between admiration and respect. While Tinubu commands the former from his numerous proteges and followers, Saraki on the other hand enjoy the latter from more than half of the 109 senators at NASS. Respect is superior to admiration.

What Saraki has is associates while Tinubu mostly has proteges. Proteges are always servile to their masters not out of choice but because of what they gain from him, and they are always an easy sell out too when the chips are down. Sagacious men never build their war defense with proteges, because serviles never make good loyalists. In the game of power 1 plus 1 is never 2.

You can only be certain of whom your true loyalists are when you are in equal position and status with them and yet you still commands their respect and followership.

A case study is Fashola, while he had no self-clout, he was to Tinubu what a slave is to his master. . . Only people like me knew that Tinubu had a frenemy in him then. Just as he (Tinubu) has as frenemies more than half of the proteges and followers around him at present. Forget about the seeming nice persona's you do see within their cliques.

Meanwhile, when you have your equals as your loyalists, my brother you can go to sleep with your two eyes closed at that moment. The senators in their individual capacities command the followership and respect of majority of their zonal subjects, and this is how Saraki is technically more powerful than Tinubu. Team work.
influence! influence!.......we are not talking of
power.you don't expect any ordinary citizen to be as
powerful as the sitting senate president.let saraki
become an ex-senate president or ordinary citizen
then compare the two powers.Or compare tinubu
with ken nnamani,aldophus wabara
Politics › Re: Saraki And Tinubu, Who Is More Influential by Basic123: 7:03pm On Apr 01, 2017
Diplomaticbeing:
Notionally, Tinubu is more powerful but realistically, Saraki is more powerful. Technically, Tinubu is more popular while Saraki is more influential. Well, since influence is superior to popularity, therefore Sarak has an upper hand.
we are talking of influence
saraki=dino melaye,asiwaju of kwara,kwara governor
and few senators
tinubu=Half APC senators,1/5 of ministers,vice
president,the president,SFG(he himself said tinubu
made him the SFG),Head of agencies e.g director of
FIRS,governors
(Aregbe,ajimobi,ambode,amosun,bornu,even

even comparing tinubu that is not holding any constitutional position in the country to the country incumbent senate president in term of influence alone is a pointer to the great political clout or influence tinubu has.

Can you compare bode George and saraki!

Lol. Pure and undiluted verbosity. These are the little things they teach in regular journalism training sessions.

Unfortunately, not up to three of the hundreds of media houses in Nigeria organise training classes for their reporters/editors.

Simple rules: 1. if you can say it in three words , don't use five.

2. Keep it simple

Yesterday on twitter , somebody fried ordinary puff puff and called it mascourdes esculante or something.

Its just like the SGF cutting ordinary grasses for N250m and calling it 'degrassification of riverine pines '

When dem wan steal, them go dey use big grammar.
lanrewaju Adepoju will say.."igba ti won ba fe jale won a ma fo oyinbo bolugi"....meaning when they want to steal they will start grandiloquence"

A lot of people claim fluency in English is not a sign of intelligence. While i share in their misery caused by the Patrick Obahiagon's of this world, I choose to disagree with that belief.
It takes a lot of cognitive strength to attain a commendable level of proficiency in a foreign language.

However, grandiloquence or verbosity isn't necessarily a sign of intelligence. In fact, most people who employ verbose verbiages are those who wish to be acknowledged as possessing superior intellect.
They do to confuse an external party trying to judge objectivity and factuality.

Yes. The same way Abubakar Shekau is far greater than Awolowo the the rat poison drinker, Tinubu the drug racketeering opolo eye and Ooni of Ife, the Hausa asslicker.

Abubakar Shekau should be made president once we get our Oduduwa Republic which will be a free trade zone for skull mining.
be logical mr man.Yorubas dont hold Abubakar shekau in high esteem like you igbos hold Bukola saraki, the same way you choose fayose as your hero. One of you even said on nairaland one time that he is being persecuted because he loves igbo....so why the denial now.Dont deny, fayose and bukola saraki your hero now!!!

And if tinubu is greater than awolowo, its a plus for yorubas. They will wish someone else come in future and be greater than tinubu and it will go on and on.

The man made a fool of himself.
Nigerians would forever remember him for his irascible nature, his false sense of power which stems from being close to the central government and his immaturity when dealing with sensitive national issues.
He would always be remembered for being Jegad like one taking the ice bucket challenge.
If he thinks himself popular let him contest for even a position in the house of reps and see how he would be disgraced, even locally.
Though you are entitle to your opinion but you are not ashamed like your tribal man Orubebe your hero.
