Peter OBI lacks all hall marks of a good leader of men!
He might be good in petty trading, but not in human leadership. He is very undecisive, cowardly and non-charismatic |

Most southsouth states and other Nigerian states are richer than lagos when you divide the state budget by the state population.Bayelsa per capita income alone x3 that of Lagos
The only thing their government need to tell them is that Lagos is like that because it was former capital of Nigeria,as if lagos receives formal capital allowance or derivatives, and indigen of the state will start blaming Lagos, fulanis,Tinubu for their backwardness. Mind you, just 1/5 of today lagos was the capital of thr country |

Kukutente23: You're beginning to get it but you can't wrap your head round it. Let me give you an example The FG was owing the CBN N32trn through ways and means. What was the solution? NASS simply collaterized it and it was sold off as bond. Can you treat foreign debt that way? Local debt especially the one denominated in your local currency is good for you because it is within your sovereign economic rights. But debt denominated in foreign currency generally is the one you should be careful with. You have to pay it to the last kobo with little room for maneuvring except where the lender graciously agrees. So no one is criticising out of emotions or bitterness. It is you who is defending what you know precious next to nothing about just because you want to defend thieving politicians for crumbs If not, it will be obvious that comparing US to Nigeria in terms of debt is simply silly Some level of intelligence is needed to understand the basis of comparison, which you are obviously lacking. Hating on your country or failure to speak the truth so as not to sound pro-government doesnt equate to intelligence |

Kukutente23: It's not about political agenda You folks need to get properly educated The US currency is the world's reserve. It replaced gold. What this means is that wealth of nations is determined by how much dollars equivalent they hold in their reserves and sovereign funds You can see that in the writeup, there's a breakdown of the debt portfolio which shows that more than half of Nigeria's debt is local. Ordinarily this doesn't present a problem for govt except where the local debts are also dollar denominated The big issue is the foreign component because it will be measured against your reserves. When you devalue your currency, your foreign debt balloons in response while your local debt does not move an inch except again if it's dollar denominated. The US does not have this problem since its debts is 100% in its local currency. I hope you can get the gist now with this simple explanation. So,debt is not a problem once it is in one currency!. So if Dangote loan Nigeria government money, its not a DEBT ? You sha want to criticize your country out of emotions and sentiment. DEBT IS DEBT!...WETHER DOMESTIC OR NOT. |

Meanwhile we lack basic infrastructure that will require us to borrow much more than the current debt to build them.

Tinubu knows his biggest obstacle to getting a 2027 victory is an Atiku/Obi ticket, and that's why he's using elements like you to dissuade other southerners from supporting such a possibility. Good students of Nigeria political history know. When he was asked if he could get PDP presidential ticket in 2023,he replied by saying "HAVE I EVER FAILED TO GET THE TICKET?".
