Let's say I want to buy up to 100 plots,

1. What is the best way to take possession of the land? By first fencing the land ASAP. then either working on it OR if not ready to work, plant cassava there BUT you must FENCE it.

2. Can I get up to such a number of plots in Ado-Odo-Ota? If not, like how many plots do you think I should start thinking? You should be able to, though would be inside. Forget getting such quantity close to main road except out of sheer luck

3. How does Adron source for their land everywhere? Perhaps if I know the template of how these estate builders go about land acquisition, I can follow it too. Well those ones are more like PoliTicians. MeanWhile, I am not in that industry so can't tell for sure BUT can say for a fact, they've got very deep pockets, and have numerous quality contacts.

4. How do I get land very close to the main road so I don't go inside. I always avoid it. You need have very very deep pockets, then make your request, and be ready to really do your due dilligence which is a MUST here because for such, it's easier getting Swindled here. Getting land very close to express or major road no be moimoi. To even get land wey be cornerPiece for good street sef no cheap. Left to me, would suggest you forget it, enter inside BUT try to avoid over inside BUT for the quantity you seem to be looking for, would be somewhat difficult getting such closer to major roads.

My plan is to build workers' quarters and a personal apartment there. Also hostels for volunteers and farmers who come for training. I actually intend to rent out some of the spaces per planting session. I think many farmers will show interest in renting soil with life. This is my speciality now. I put life in soil. Me would say start small and grow. All these plans might seem feasible in theory but practically might fail. Most farmers understands how to cut costs. Cassava farm wey you go spend 1-Million naira cultivate, most wouldn't spend up to 500,000 naira to achieve same or even better.

But I don't have time to cultivate and supervise large expanse of land because I have a very busy schedule. So, renting it out is the option I am considering. And then buy the produce at farm gate price. To best of ma knowledge, investing funds, when you don't have at least 80% time to run or monitor things speels doom. It will take like 2 years after land acquisition to achieve this because I have to work on the land first. So, how do I secure such land while I work on the soil? All buildings will start 2 years after the soil is OK. Can I still secure all the plots? You MUST FENCE it. Secondly you could go the extra mile getting the necessary papers such as CofO or Governors consent.

And after making inquiry behind them, what are the next steps to take? if you're OKay with outcome of your investigations / enquiries, and you equally sure the said land is not in conflict either at the moment or previously, then ensure to ask the sellers all the available documents they have for you, most times they might tell you the land has Survey but in real sense it's often a global Survey. If it has survey which it should, get a copy of it, and investigate further to ensure it's got no ties with the government, or in dispute.


ensure you have money to do perimeter fencing even if it's just 5-coaches. if you don't have funds to do foundation, just plant cassava inside it and have someone within the vicinity but not in anyway related to them to help you monitor the farm.

Alternatively, if you can't afford doing fence, you could skip it but ensure you do Foundation, and please don't just dig a single foundation. dig foundation everywhere to spoil the ground else those people don't mind selling half or quarter portion of your plot of land.
For example, say the land is 1-plot, rather than just doing foundation for 3-bedroom, equally do foundation for shop on the opposite side of the land hence if the house foundation is on the back left, the shop foundation should be on the front right ELSE nothing stops them selling the remaining half.

if said land is in acre(s), then you definitely need a perimeter fence. and if not ready to utilize said land, turn it to cassava farm.

Mind you, doing CornerPiece, doesn't protect the land in any way. All it does is indicate boundaries.

When buying land, taking immediate ownership is key. Leaving it for as little as 1-month could be more than enough time for them to act.

As for doing foundation, you really don't have to do complete foundation; you could do just 2 coaches even when you need more than that. What matyters is that work has started.
