Deep Sight: If you are interested in the activities of Nigerian Christians in London, do some online research on a character called Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo and his trials with the UK Charity Commission.
That should shed proper light on the real intentions of Nigerian "Christians". . . especially those who set up churches. see this one putting sand sand in another man's garri |

the church isn't a government building like the justice of peace. homosexual would probably have to marry in city hall. oyb: so - would you call a pastor/registrar tribalist if he refused to marry a yoruba and an ibo because 'mixed tribe marriages don't last?' good question |

They use my bathroom, what is that supposed to achieve? Intergration?
Why is it a big deal that he allows a black man to use his bathroom? It must have meant a whole lot to him for him to bring it up. back in the day, them coloreds (oh wait we can't call em that anymore) weren't worthy enough to share the same toilet facilities with me but now am nice enough for them to use my bathroom |

Kobojunkie: Lol . . . . oh please!!! From his point, the man seems to have his own solution to the problem. Why is his solution not possible? Let me guess, because it does not line up with your idea of NON-ignorant thinking? his solution isn't practical IMO. he is trying to avoid the problem (preventing racial mixing) rather than tackling the problem (less prejudice) blackspade: @ bawomolo
Can you clear up something you said earlier? When you say people who are opposed to mixed relationships are racist, do you mean the ones who oppose other peoples' mixed relationships, or the ones who have their own personal preference of not wanting to date outside of their race? If its the latter then call me a racist all you'd like. I have very little interest in women who are not black, and I definitely have no interest in marrying, let alone creating mulatto offspring with a woman who is not black. You might call it racist, but I call it preference. people who oppose other people's mixed relationships. if you are not into white or asian chicks cuz they no fine, that's your preference |

Kobojunkie: This view was dispelled 40 years ago when laws against interracial marriages were struck down? You sure about this? Yes. His views are a glorified modern day version of separate but equal. He isn't racist though, he has black friends. Rather than support a society where mixed kids are accepted, he is trying to keep races separate. |

Do you know how a nuclear weapon works? To you folk arguing in ignorance here, turning a solid mass into light is witchcraft; but that is how a nuclear weapon works. Practically every aspect of advanced physics would be sneered at as witchcraft by your likes the difference between physics and witchcraft is that the effects of one has being observed and document while one is based on oral legend and folklore. there is still no witchcraft equivalent of the the Manhattan program |

Kobojunkie: Wrong. It is NOT HIS Court, It is the people's court. He is only one of judges who works there; he is just another Judge in the court. If He cannot do it, there are others who can. Sort of like when you go to the DMV. If the one cannot speak Spanish, they get you another who can. there is a difference between the inability to speak a language and archaic views on race. just saying. This reminds me of the silly debate on FORCING ALL pharmacists to sell over the country DAYAFTER pills, some time ago. People have personal beliefs and ideologies that may not be in line with the law. Should we ALL be FORCED to conform so folks can say we are not iGnorant? Yes I expect members of the JUDICIAL SYSTEM to uphold the law. Call him what you want then but understand he has a right to believe as he wants and as long as he is not telling you IT IS AGAINST THE LAW, he is free to believe as he wants. And yes i would call him a racist. What is he going to do next, stop christians and muslims from marrying? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Anger At US Mixed Marriage 'ban' by bawomolo(m): 8:09pm On Oct 16, 2009 |
Kobojunkie: All that is mentioned in the article is that this is the man's PERSONAL PREFERENCE AND based on his PERSONAL Take on issues. Why try to make it MORE THAN ABOUT HIM the issue is more about him because his opinion CLASHES WITH THAT OF THE LAW. the department of justice would surely have something to say about it. . Since when is it wrong for persons to act on personal beliefs, especially beliefs that hurt no one but their own selves ? the last time i checked his personal beliefs also affects that of the couples who denied the right to marry in the court which isn't his personal property. The man is clearly not a racist, can we please stop trying to sentimentalize every thing and issue out there to score brownie points of some sort. of course he isn't racist, he has black friends. And he didn't try to stop them from getting married, just said that he could not marry them. Umm that means he doesn't want them to get married since he obviously against racial mixing because of his silly views that mixed kids would have it tough in life. What a bigot |
