Take away lessons Knowledge over tribe Efficiency over party affiliation Competency over blind loyalty Intelligence over gender Industry over nepotism Until excellence becomes the yardstick for appointments, Africa as a continent will never come close to the west in terms of development. |
LabStores:They’re exporting Islamic revolutions. Afghanistan is a country too, no one care North Korea has no plans of expanding its way of life. As crazy as Kim is, he lives in relative peace with his southern neighbor. India, the relationship with the US is strained but you don’t see any direct actions against them. Iran’s charter is to destroy the US and Israel first, then the house of Saud and other “non pious Muslims”. |
HacheNoire:It’s to lower public debt. One example is bitcoin, it has lost about 30% of its pre 2026 value, a lot of people are selling at a loss. Same as gold, it crashed some weeks back. It’s intelligence and not ineptitude. |
The body of the message clearly states ‘those that lied on their application and have links to criminal activities’. I believe every nation has a right to weed out unpatriotic elements. Those that would align with external forces to undermine national security. As much as we disagree on nairaland, I don’t believe any of us wishes Palestine, Yemen or Iran or their military outfits to destroy Nigeria. |
FreeStuffsNG:Think big, it doesn’t only cut off the west it cuts off their citizens from the world, breaks up family communications, ends businesses etc. People do business on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook etc. it can be monitored or regulated. Outrightly discontinuing the service leads to a loss of billions to those who do business online these apps. Perhaps they believe the rest of the world should download a Russian app including Iran, China and North Korea which are their allies only on paper. Those with nefarious intentions can always create their own apps we-hate-America-chat, kill infidels app, what ever rocks their boats. For regular people they share information responsibly. |
@mods, Please make this visible so that e-transmission can get the necessary support. Switruth:I’m aware of their antics, they’re the same crew that believe public servant salaries shouldn’t be made public. |
Reno made an uneducated submission about why the problems bedeviling bank transactions in Nigeria would affect e-transmission of results by INEC, he could have made a brief cursory check online and get enlightened. Anyway, here’s the truth why it can be done. While both systems involve the electronic transfer of sensitive data across a national network, they are built on fundamentally different architectural philosophies and operational requirements. The Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS) handles a high volume of continuous, bilateral transactions, while INEC’s IReV (INEC Result Viewing Portal) is a seasonal, bulk-upload system designed for public transparency. 1. Architectural Differences The most significant difference lies in how data moves through the network. Interbank (NIBSS Instant Payment - NIP): Operates on a Hub-and-Spoke Model. When you send money, your bank (the spoke) sends a message to NIBSS (the hub), which then communicates with the receiving bank. It is a "push" system where liquidity and account validation happen in milliseconds across private, highly secured financial tunnels. INEC (IReV/BVAS): Operates on a Centralized Cloud Repository. Data (the scanned result sheet) is captured on a mobile device (BVAS) and uploaded directly to a central cloud server. Unlike a bank transfer, which is a two-way handshake between two specific parties, INEC’s system is a many-to-one upload intended for one-to-many distribution (the public viewing portal). 3. Network Resilience and Latency The way these systems handle "downtime" or poor internet connectivity is a major technical divide. Financial Systems (High Availability): Banks use ISO 20022 messaging standards and dedicated leased lines to ensure near-zero latency. If the network is down, the transaction is rejected immediately to prevent "double-spending." Election Systems (Store-and-Forward): The BVAS is designed to work offline. If there is no 4G/5G coverage at a polling unit, the device stores the result locally and uploads it once it detects a signal. This introduces a "lag" that does not exist in the banking sector, where transactions are typically "live or nothing." Note on Security: While banks use hardware security modules (HSMs) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) to protect accounts, INEC’s system relies heavily on Encryption in Transit (protecting the data as it travels to the server) and Access Control to prevent unauthorized edits to the central database. In summary, INEC transmission is one way, and relies on 4G/5G internet service, nothing that providers like starlink cannot handle. As a race the answer should never be, NO it cannot be done, but rather, how can it be done. Shame on the populace that keep on fighting messengers while rejecting the message. Transparent elections will benefit us all.

Politicking above governance. Trump detests New York’s mayor, but there are laws that govern political offices. What business has Wike with a governor? What business has Fubara in Aso rock? We are watching our style of governance slip into monarchy and we are quiet about it. All these drama at the expense of tax payers money. Think for a minute, who funded Wike’s rallies in PH? Certainly not PDP or APC. |
Dear Nigerians there’s no free money in this world. These guys are imperialist and have no vision for the black race. Will they invest, yes. Will it move us forward, time will tell. But from their antecedents, Africans are perceived inferior. The have zero interest in political stability, human capital or youth development. Just modern slavery. Hence my constant advocacy for the west as against China and now the UAE. Their investment in Africa is about their survival not love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm2xmhcjeVs Watch the video above, follow the news in Sudan and you’d understand. |
motayoayinde:There are more Iranians in the US and UK than Muslim countries. Iran, UK and the US used to be very strong allies. They had a bad breakup and the opportunistic mullahs took advantage. Look up the history. |
Sulex899:https://nypost.com/2020/08/31/inside-the-lavish-life-of-saudi-arabias-party-prince/ Read and get enlightened. You’ve got no idea what happens in Dubai. Truth is America has the highest morals world over, nothing is hidden for long in that country, hence the public knowledge/outrage. Epstein parties can’t be worse than human rituals carried out by our politicians in ifo and Ibadan.

RichBoy247:No, he’ll just have to change religions and it would be legal. |
We have the labor, we have the land, we have the capital yet we lack one thing. A willing leadership. One that would address core issues and cease showmanship. If we so desire, we can become the biggest exporter of agricultural produce in the next 1 year. If we so desire, we can take the pipeline contract from militants, tell them to get real jobs, and deploy drones and perimeter defense systems that cost less than pipeline security budget. Increase our quota and drive development. Same can be done with solid minerals, But no, we prefer luxury, affluence and stupidity. Shame on Mr President, he is yet to roll up his sleeves and get to work. What we need to be great lies within us. |
I guess reasoning is finally prevailing above propaganda. They’ve seen what’s happening in Cuba, and wish differently for themselves. https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/liveblog/2026/2/6/us-iran-talks-live-critical-negotiations-set-to-begin-in-oman

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvQV7Mt02q4 You guys have got no idea what a $1 trillion dollar military budget can get you, especially without corruption. @OP, advise IRGC to accede and give the everyday Iranians their much deserved freedom. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zsf38NYzo5Q This was from 10 years ago. The US is not in the habit of bragging about their arsenal. When it’s D-day you all will see. |
Emu4life:Take it easy, there’s a reason why there’s global outrage about the Epstein debacle, moral is why it’s being discussed, morals is why Epstein went to prison, moral is why witnesses can come forward boldly and speak and the state protects them, moral is why there’s a call for justice and all affected will be served, moral is why Prince Andrew was removed from the royal family. Former French President is in prison that’s morals. How dare you pontificate on something your community is complicit in. What is the age of competence in northern Nigeria? Do you know how many cases of VVF exists thanks to our brothers up north? Do you know about the Arab perversion of taking a shit on their sex objects? How many influential Nigerians have gone to prison for their sexual crimes, Senate President? There was a Nigerian Epstein party remake put in a movie called Oloture. Our politicians are very complicit but can the Nigerian justice system prosecute them? Or protect their victims? Which other country, in the Muslim world do high ranking officials get punished? https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2023/12/iran-security-forces-used-rape-and-other-sexual-violence-to-crush-woman-life-freedom-uprising-with-impunity/

@OP, extend the conversation with these questions; Since the US has pulled out of several international organizations has China opted to fill in their shoes? What’s China humanitarian contribution? What’s their policy on human trafficking? Wars? Human rights? I’ve as this question times over… who is the most successful black man in China? Even Saudi has a more cosmopolitan outlook than China. We need to be careful what we wish for. |
I wrote this yesterday. Sorry to say, but analytic, critical thinking is lost on the Nigerian youth. Our educational systems are in ruins and needs to be revisited with alacrity. How people ever imagine Russia and China would come to Iran’s aid is ridiculous. The US is only looking out for the third force. Iran might have a joker up its sleeves and the US cannot afford any surprises. Venezuela sent shivers down the spines of China, North Korea and Russia. When last was there news of testing of ballistic missile? They’re still tryna collect information on what was used in Venezuela. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJPdMlYvyzE

DonMarkuzi:The US military was stationed near Venezuela for weeks before the attack. Permutations are ongoing and discussions are being made to help mitigate casualties. Their allies in the region need to also be ready. The US signed a pact with Qatar to defend it if ever it was attacked. Saudi is also a strong ally. So a lot of preparations are needed. IRGC will lose everything most certainly but how can the situation be handled to avoid a Palestine repeat, where IRGC uses innocents as human shields. How does the US reduce damage to both its allies in the region and the Iranians that need liberation, that’s the big question. |
owagbeba:Good looking out. I had my suspicions, especially after Putin giving Trump $1BN dollars to join his club. |
GreenCovering:That’s what the government projects. https://www.reddit.com/r/PERSIAN/comments/1qa7nec/how_religious_is_current_day_iran_actually/ |
Ghostagain:@mods, get this individual off my back. |
Princedapace:Why? I honestly would like to know. Give your reasons and I’ll give mine. |
Princedapace:I’ve come to learn and accept that there would always be a dominant force in the world, either in the form of colonialism or financial imperialism and they will define morality. For weaker nations, the only question is, whose morality do you prefer. China? Russia? The USA? So, the question goes back to you. Would you like a Nigeria that mirrors the US in some regards or China? Or Russia? |
Ghostagain:You don’t know me, but for some reasons believe I’m your neighbor. Son, look up my registration on nairaland. When I say I know Iranians take it to the bank. I can’t upload personal information but I ask that if you discredit the submissions of others, don’t do that on my posts. I have no reason to give false information. Iranians I know, hear from their relatives living well abroad and wish the same for their country. |
PepeXKermit:He should then. Calculations are ongoing about the strength of his army and artillery. Most of the weapons he used are made in Iran. Iran falling is a big blow to him. Committing soldiers to ‘finish up Ukraine’ would signal the end of Russia so Ukraine is bleeding him slowly but severely. And even if he joins the war, he would only supply weapons to Iran because the US never attacked Russia directly but only supplied weapons to Ukraine. |
Taliban = Afghan people, Afghan people = Taliban. US didn’t lose, but realized they were wasting resources trying to change the mindset of a people that loved their oppressors. Is Syria asking for Assad? Is Venezuela begging for Maduro? Did Iraq beg for saddam? Khomeini getting arrested today would be jubilations across Iran. Those on exile will return home and the new leadership will work in peace with other middle eastern countries. Isn’t it ironic that no Muslim country is standing by khomeini? They all want him gone.

Now this is true comedy… Putin wants to hold another front, just when Trump is considering giving him some breathing room. The other day Bangladesh nationals accused Russia of forced conscription, same with a few African countries. The US should go ahead with the campaign. China never risked 1 soldiers life for Russia I doubt they’d do it for Iran. With zero economic value to them. Back to the main issue, @OP, I know Iranians, they hate what their country has become. Make your findings, the Shia population doesn’t represent the majority. They love music, movies, almost all I’ve met have tattoos. They are proud Persians and want to return to their Persian ways. They don’t participate in Islamic extremist agendas. Anyone who loves Iran should wish them true independence, democracy or a favorable monarchy not a theocracy.

God1000:They don’t need to bomb, just connive with the evil government and help them destroy their people. Think? What is China’s opinion on human rights violation? Are you not aware that most of their luxury high humane treaties were initiated by the west? Social contract is an American concept, human rights too. We would all be perpetually enslaved but for their foreign policy. Silence implies consent. If the Nigerian government ever decides to slaughter its citizens China would do a deal for organ transplant. To the topic Read up friend. The UK and EU are freeloaders. America has been carrying them all on its shoulders. They never trade fairly and Trump has the balls to say to them get on with it. Most of their luxury high end products end up in the US, but how much does Europe buy from America? That’s why Trump forced them to pay in full for patriot defense systems. They could not help Ukraine, all talk no action. Trump asked the to raise military spending to 5% GDP and they’re all struggling. They cannot efficiently control their borders. Look at London, the stealing, poor sanitary environment, and the radicalism. Now they want a deal with a communist regime, same type of deal that has made Qatar own 40% of London. I wish them goodluck, sometimes people need to get their hand’s burnt to know that not all red pots are hot and vice versa. |
