Lady Gaga has stripped naked in a video made to support and promote the Marina Abramovic Institute.
The ‘Born This Way’ singer is no stranger to baring the flesh, but she’s taken it to a whole new level by partaking in the video to support the Marina Abramovic Institute.
In the clip, the singer is seen in a variety of settings while making a continuous groaning sound as she practices the Abramovic method, designed to ‘heighten the participants’ awareness of their physical and mental experience in the present moment’.
The blonde star spends most of the video blindfolded while walking slowly and occasionally striking a pose, but at one point Gaga bends down to grab hold of a tree branch in a forest, before wrapping her arms around a large crystal on a piece of laminate flooring.
Serbian artist Marina is trying to raise $600,000 through donation service Kickstarter to fund her artworks. So far she has $228,683 of her target pledged.
Marina has also generously promised everyone who donates will get a ‘personal hug’. The money pledged is to be used to help get the Institute off the ground.

For instance, he may repeatedly catch your eye from across the room. Or, even if he's talking with someone else, he may angle his feet in your direction. Both men and women also tend to "peacock" around the people they're interested in, so a man might stretch to expand his chest or put his hands in his front pockets to draw your eyes toward his groin.

-- It's hard for me to choose the greatest African films of the 21st century as the genres and styles of African cinema have evolved in a big way over the past 20 years or so. Movie makers are now showing a more vibrant Africa than the Francophone filmmakers did before them.

I have chosen films that I loved watching and feel that they are a representative of what is out there in African cinema -- the rich mix and melting pot that is African cinema today.

From a Whisper - dir. Wanuri Kahiu, Kenya, 2009

This movie is very real and deals with the subject of terrorism -- based on the events surrounding the bomb attacks on the U.S. embassy in Nairobi in 1998. I liked Ken Ambani's realistic acting and I loved the music. Wanuri Kahiu is a good director who will go on to make greater films. The cinematography on this film was exceptional and although for me it had plot issues, I think in the end it all came together.

This is simply a sophisticated gangster movie. It has raw energy and puts a human face to all that is happening in the Congo. Sometimes just too real, it is gritty, fun and a must-watch thriller.

WASHINGTON — President Obama, who turns 52 Sunday, spent today playing golf with friends at Joint Base Andrews, but before he went he was briefed on the terrorist threat that will cause 21 U.S. embassies to close Sunday.
“Before departing this morning, the president was updated on the potential threat occurring in or emanating from the Arabian Peninsula by Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Lisa Monaco. He will continue to be updated through the weekend,” a White House official told reporters.

The State Department has ordered all U.S. embassies to close Sunday. Most are closed anyway on Sundays, except those in Muslim countries, meaning the closures affect 21 embassies in the Muslim world. The State Department also issued a worldwide travel alert for Americans on Friday.
He’ll continue to receive updates throughout the weekend, the White House said.
After the briefing, the president’s motorcade left the White House with golf clubs and at least one cooler in tow. Later, he planned to head to Camp David.

A man claims he was nearly killed after his girlfriend choked him with her over sized chest, according to court proceedings.

A high-flying lawyer fled in terror nakèd after his girlfriend used her 38DDs in an attempt to kill him, a German court has heard.


Tim Schmidt, 30, said his girlfriend, Franziska Hansen, 33, mounted her assault while they were having sèx because she was jealous of his successful career.

While carrying out his lawful duty, the photo-journalist, Adekola Bamigbala, attempted to take pictures of Omawumi, but little did he know that danger was lurking around for him, as the singer allegedly pounced on him, snatched his camera and dealt him heavy quick punches. In the end, while the singer was panting, Bamigbala found himself with a swollen face.

Omawumi was given a call but a lady, who claimed not to be her, refused to speak when she found out the reason for the call. Until press time, the singer was yet to respond to the allegations and the SMS sent to her.

The victim, Bamigbala wondered why Omawumi would descend so low to attack him, as he could not remember having had any axe to grind with her.

Jennifer Lopez is close to signing a contract that will see her return to American Idol as a judge, Music-News reports.
The 44-year-old superstar was a panellist on the singing contest for two seasons before leaving last year. Since her departure ratings have plummeted and it”s been confirmed judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson are all stepping away from their roles next season.
Apparently Jennifer is in the final stages of sealing the deal on her American Idol return, although speculation was rife she previously ruled out the programme as a possibility.
“[She is] very close to signing a deal with Fox to return to American Idol next season,” a source told People magazine.

“Both Fox [network] and Jennifer are very happy about this and want it to happen very much.’
Jennifer has found the time to put her all into judging duties on Idol.
She supposedly loves the programme and only stepped down from her role due to previous professional commitments.

“She couldn”t return last year because she had committed to a world tour,’ the insider detailed.
‘But now that the tour is over, she has more time to raise her family, do movies and pursue television projects.”
According to Entertainment Weekly country music star Keith Urban will also be on next season’s panel. Other judge possibilities are said to include Jennifer Hudson and Black Eyed Peas singer-and-producer will.i.am.
The 13th season of American Idol is currently in pre-production and will premiere in January 2014.

Everyone are more reliant on their smart phones and laptops than ever before, but many of us are unaware of the potential harm our favorite gadgets could cause.

“As a society, we have become so dependent on these devices,” Dr. Roshini Raj says, “But the truth is, we don’t know some of the long term effects.”

Dr. Raj says that while doctors have yet to pinpoint a correlation between cell phone use and brain cancer, neuroscientists researching the case believe a link does exist.

It sounds like some scary stuff, but Dr. Raj has tips to avoid any harmful affects. First, don’t keep your phone in your pocket all day or anywhere too close to your body. Second, use speakerphone or a landline to restrict the amount time your cell is pressed against your head. Third, and most importantly, limit your child’s cell phone exposure.

“Children are particularly susceptible to any kind of radiation damage, increasing their cancer risk,” Dr. Raj says, “So for children, you really need to limit their use.”

It’s not just radiation that’s a tech concern, excessive texting and e-mailing can lead to soreness and carpal tunnel, and staring at screens for too long can affect your sight. Dr. Raj says it won’t “cause permanent vision loss, but it can definitely cause eye strain, tired eyes, itchy, watery painful eyes,” and bring on headaches.
