Willie2015: Thats the ideal model ... for business sustainability in Nigeria... Nigeria business terrain is chaotic... Any business must own the whole value chain to survive... From production to selling retail to consumers... I hope cabals can predict the endgame... once Alhaji goes retail
Alhaji has gone retail already by cng tankers n delivering direct to stations meaning no shady deals
Birminghamvirgo: Congratulations, Mr. Dangote. Let NUPENG Union continue their shenanigans
Nupeng are fighting for their mouth. they tried to frustrate someone that has money to buy out all their drivers.imagine those bagas refusing to patronize refinery in nigeria bt prefer to import.becos they know say na substandard dem dey import.now dangote reduce price n they not happy
LagosOrigin: Yes , it will work only if you buy and personalise it.
Dangote you be thief
U dnt like truth.I hav also said countless times nigerian government cannot run a refinery successfully. Like they should sell d ones they hav n build refineries on private partnerships. Dangote can go into steel now n ot will work then u start crying monopoly
For d fact that Dss does not understand they represent intelligence for nigeria n not tinubu security service.U are sueing a private citizen on behalf of president. Like where did this people get their education frm
For this country...sowore don try. This is d only man that has endured detention over n over.Hes been fighting power like forever.I feel sad that he may never b3 president becos plenty politicians will run.
oyatz: You are still living in the past (most probably born and grew up under the Military Rule, where FG was in-charge of virtually every aspect of Nigeria's economy).
Seaports, Airports, Railways and Electricity have been taken off from the exclusive list in the constitution and taken to concurrent list (meaning both FG and States can legislate on these items).
Lagos State ,through PPP built Lekki Deep Sea Port (more sophisticated than the old ports at Apapa and Tin Can) and currently building Badagry Deep-Sea Port.
Dangote is building Dangote Port for COMMERCIAL purposes in Ogun State.
Ibaka DEEP Seaport ,would have been completed if A/Ibom State Government is not doing it as a typical Government Project but do it via Public-Private Partnership, in conjunction with Chinese or Indian Business Corporations.
The roles of the FG is now more of a regulator rather than active players in these industries.
Oga am in my late 30ties....I am telling u that Nigeria as of today,no state can build a seaport like tincan Island Apapa .U tink a sea port is a motor park that anyone will jst wake up n build.Building seaports included signing major contracts wit a government of another country i.e u need federal government to be fully involved .No state as of today can build a port as sophisticated as tincan apapa dont be deceived.
TonyRazor: Nonye Soludo Challenges Ekwunife to Oath of Fidelity Before Blessed Virgin Mary, DNA Test on Children
By Our Correspondent
The wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has issued a dramatic challenge to Senator Uche Ekwunife, urging both of them to take an oath of fidelity before the Blessed Virgin Mary and to subject their children to paternity tests.
In a statement released on Friday, Mrs. Soludo accused the senator of fabricating allegations and dragging her children into political disputes.
She described Ekwunife’s conduct as malicious and warned that legal action would follow unless the lawmaker withdrew her claims and apologised within 72 hours.
Mrs. Soludo said a public oath would help settle questions of character once and for all.
“Since Uche Ekwunife claims to be a converted Catholic, I challenge her for both of us to swear an oath of fidelity and chastity at any cathedral in front of the Blessed Sacrament and the Bible.
I will swear (with my children) that in my 55 years on earth, I have known only one man—Chukwuma Soludo. On your part, you should also swear (with your children or your political ambitions) that since you got married, you have never cheated on your husband.”
The governor’s wife also invited Senator Ekwunife to scientific verification through DNA testing.
“I challenge you, Uche Ekwunife, for us to subject our children to paternity tests in three reputable hospitals in London. I will pay all the expenses, including travel for you and your family,” she said.
She added that if the results confirmed that Ekwunife’s husband fathered all her children, she would not only congratulate her but also present a cash award.
Describing herself as a quiet family woman, Mrs. Soludo stressed her Christian and conservative upbringing.
“I married him as a virgin and my fidelity to him in 33 years of marriage and for life is ironclad,” she asserted.
She further noted that she had never worked for government nor depended on public funds, even as First Lady of Anambra State.
Vowing to sustain her defence with dignity, Mrs. Soludo likened the clash with Senator Ekwunife to a long-distance race. “My weapons are decency, character, and grace. I am a long-distance runner, and I welcome you to the marathon,” she said.
The confrontation between both women traces back to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s questions over Senator Ekwunife’s academic qualifications.
The senator responded with sharp criticisms, prompting the governor’s wife to step into the fray.
She didnt hav to issue any notice on this.Nonye is a desperate liar that will conjure anything to hurt her enemies. I hate people like that bt its actually q medical disorder
This should be hilda washes port for d camera....we hav really lost it in this generation. We dont glorify important tins anymore xcept stupid tins like hilda cooking big pot or peller talking nonsense. Instead of us focusing on exemplary initiatives like someone building something that makes like easier for us etc
The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd), has announced that the mandate given to him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been “sufficiently achieved” with the restoration of democratic governance at the grassroots level.
Ibas made the declaration at Government House, Port Harcourt, in a statement signed by the Senior Special Adviser, Media, Rivers State Government, Hector Igbikiowubo, while receiving the report of the recently concluded local government elections from the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).
He noted that the peaceful conduct of the polls and the swearing-in of elected chairmen and councillors across all 23 local government areas directly fulfilled the presidential directive issued to him on March 18, 2025.
I hav successful secured d required war chest for 2027 election of my principal
oyatz: There are functional ports in Onne,Rivers State and Calabar (though less patrinized). Dangote is building $800 million Seaport in Ogun State.
Since over 12yrs ago, Akwa-Ibom State Government has been allocating funds in yeary budgets for Ibaka Deep seaport, but these are often embezzled.
U nt understanding, states do not build seaport...its a federal project.Dangote port is for dangote refinery only or cement business. We are talking abt deep sea ports n infrastructure to handle d class of cargo Lagos ports handle.D ships that berth at tincan island cannot berth at ibaka. There needs to be facility to handle to class of ships . I will use airline industry to giv u an example...airbus 380 planes which are most owned by emirates airlines do not land in nigeria becos our runway cannot handle that particular class of plane.instead they use older substandard planes to convey passenger to Nigeria bt abroad they use airbus 380 for long haul flights.so who do u blame now for that?ofcourse nigerian government who hav refused to improve along wit d rest of d world
oyatz: This is similar to the usual excuses of failed siblings, blaming their most successful siblings that 'all the money that our parents had were used to educate Broda Yemi/ Aunty Aminat' now, he forgets us.
The real reason why other States witnessed slower growth: collapses of over 300 manufacturing companies scattered accross Nigeria between 1986-2007 and replacement, with culture of massive importation. This led to great rural-urban migration.
Oga accept this is very true.Nigeria has port issues bt refused to build another in other regions.lagos gets special treatment all d time
