The standard fuel in UK is usually E10 and it’s 95 RON. That’s going to approximate to premium fuel in the USA since we use Anti knocking index here as the octane rating.

I never said it means 95 octane rating. Octane rating is what we use in USA, the Euro use more of RON (Research Octane Number). You’ll still need some formulae to convert it to USA octane rating AKI.

When you convert 95 RON to USA standard, it will still fall in the premium grade.

Dangote has consistently stated that their fuel is Euro V compliant, and this claim has not been disputed yet.

Most European countries compliant with Euro V usually run average 95 research octane rating. So that means Dangote fuel will be >= 95 RON.

So if you convert that to USA standard Octane rating, it’s over 91 octane number which falls in premium petrol spectrum.
