What Wike doesn't understand is that people like Akpabio, Seriake Dickson and Oshiomole wouldn't want him to have the type of hold he (Wike) wants on the south south.
It is my gut feeling these men will gang up with Fubara to frustrate Wike out of power.

Akpabio tried it in his Akwaibom but was taught a bitter lesson. He couldn't get APC to the top in his state through any elective process. Infact, he usually won his own election with tears and blood.

Not until a sitting governor decamped to APC.

These men will never allow a Wike to become too powerful in the south south.

The Akpabio etc angle makes a lot of sense. Wike is angling and positioning to be VP or president someday, these other men too from the south and his goepolitical zone also want the same thing.
It's only wise that they help in clipping his wings. Presently, none of them have shown open support for him and this could be interpreted as distancing themselves for him.
Only his stomach infrastructure chummy Fayose is openly identifying with him.

The fight between Wike and Fubara is not about governance. It's not about projects that benefit Rivers people. It's not about Fubara spending money on mundane projects. It's not about Fubara abandoning Wike's pet projects.

But it's everything about selfish interest. It's about everything about ego.

Wike is far too overbearing. If not curtailed, he would be worse than the lord of bourdillon as many have seen.

The kind of loyalty he demands is the type that can stiffle a man to death!

When tinubu fell out with fashola and tried going against his second time, he guaged the mood of lagosians and discovered that going against whom the people have come to love so dearly would diminish his own image, he backtracked.

But in Wike's case, he doesn't stop to ponder over anything at all. At the rate he is going, he'll tire out quickly and collapse.

Lest we forget, Wike is angry with Fubara because..

1. Wike wanted a total emasculation of Fubara as the governor because he single handedly made him governor. No man, even a male child born yesterday would accept that.

2. Wike wanted a third term through the backdoor.

3. Wike singlehandedly selected the majority of state assembly members and consequently, they were only loyal to him and undermined the governor at every given opportunity.

4. Wike wanted total control of Rivers state Treasury, dividing the yam according to what he deems fit and the governor must not object.. no man with two balls can take that.

5. Fubara joined APC without recourse to Wike who believes as the piper, he must dictate the tune at all times... No man with blood flowing through his veins would take that.

6. Wike wanted to be the Tinubu of south south politics because in his thinking there is plenty money in Rivers state as there is in Lagos, which is why Tinubu succeeded in lording it over the rest SW politicians, forgetting that the core south south man can never subservient to no one no matter what. Jonathan is a case in study. Even as a former president, he has no clouth in his south south politics.

7. Wike wanted to be the Tinubu of Rivers treasury to be able to amass unlimited wealth to prosecute his presidential ambition when the time is right.
