It is still a biblical law just that no one cares any more.

But one fact we cant take away is that even if the death penalty no longer applies, it is believed that any marriage to a non virgin is invalid and a waste of resources.

The Bible is still a valid book but then this goes to show how serious GOD takes sexual chastity.
