OP, you will not get any definite answer to the question you are asking, Nigeria needs to be totally restructured (Power decentralization to states/regions) or divided to restore some of kind of sanity when it comes to tribalism and religious bigotry among Nigerians on tackling national issues and electons..... If I were smart, I would not even wait until it is time to go to court, but would be educating my supporters now long before the election on how to deter election rigging and to gather evidence of any election rigging that does occur so that I could use it in court.

It's why I despair with my Obi. By now he should be organising and educating people for the next election already, but I don't think he's doing enough, and so will not win the next election, sadly.

Again you evade the fact that these APC, PDP senators or any other representatives voting on the impeachment can be recalled by their people....? You appear not to be fully sincere with your submissions, Tinbu can be impeached today if majority of Nigerians want that and are determined to exercise their rights to make it happen.... the national assembly are consitutionally bound to do so or they are recalled and replaced with those that will see it through. In my opinion, this is what defines a democracy and not the state capture as you're referring....

Your analogy of US president's powers is warped as unlike Nigeria, there are strong independent institutions that checkmates the president.....

The process for impeaching a President in Nigeria is contained in Chapter 6, Part 1, Section 143 of the 1999 Constitution, which anyone can go read online.

You may also read about it here, so you may understand how it is not just the people who get to impeach a president, and that you'd need APC senators and representatives to vote turkey for Christmas.


That, sir, is democracy! It is state capture of government institutions by a president, especially if the president in power has a majority in the Senate and the House.

You will forgive me for mentioning USA, but it is the same power Trump will have when he's President of the United States of America. He will capture every government institution in America, at least till midterm when I hope he loses the majority.

When that time comes, if Nigeria's economy is not fully destroyed by Tinubu, I hope you will see how useless voting is under these circumstances.... Until then, I am yet to be convinced that you can vote Tinubu and his APC government out through 2027 presidential election.... If you don't see the need to learn from previous elections, atleast learn from Edo and Ondo governorship elections and the upcoming Anambra election.....

If there are loopholes in the elections, there'd be loopholes in your impeachment, but do know that Jonathan did not stand at every poll both ensuring elections were fair, and neither did Tinubu stand there making them unfair. Besides, there's no way you can convince me Jonathan could have beaten Buhari because by the time of that election, most Nigerians were like "PDP? Never Again!" And that's why Atiku lost to Tinubu too. Or have you conveniently forgotten how we were discovering bags of Naira in ghanamustgoes hidden away in soakaways during Jonathan's tenure?

If you want a "highly decentralized governing system", you are going to hope someone campaigns for it and people vote for it, because that's the only way you will get whatever system you prefer in this democratic dispensation we are in.

As I said earlier, Tinubu's government is not transparent, the main reason behind subsidy removal and naira floating maybe a selfish one.... It may just be to enable him easily get a loan from IMF/World Bank..... Again one may ask, did he really completely remove subsidy or floated the Naira? What happens when you, many other Nigerians vote and they rig the result again, will you call for a revoltion then or wait again to vote in 2031?

Trump campaigning for tax cuts is not vote buying as he was only stating what he will do if elected which was what many Americans want.... In the case of Nigeria, vote buying is a criminal act were voters are paid by politicial party agents to vote for their candidates.... you can not compare that to Trump campaigning about tax cuts.....

Again, you are wrong as Nigeria's 2015 presidential election was one of most credible since 1999 by Jonathan's government... this was made possible because Jonathan personally did not want to meddle in the election.... Unfortunately, subsequent presidents did the opposite and abused their incumbent powers.... As I said in my earlier post, Nigeria's president have god-link powers as far as elections are concerned because of certain constitutional loopholes, for example in the appointment of the INEC chairman and the appointment of CJN (Chief Justice)..... Such loopholes will mean that a person with a dubious character like Tinubu who has no regards for the law can easily abuse it to ensure election results always favor his party and government..... This is why no amount of votes cast by Nigerians against APC can remove them from power..... Above all, I came to the final conclusion that Nigerians were better off in a highly decentralized governing system not because of election rigging or corrupt government but because of the systemic injustice that exists as result of the hateful tribal religious sentiments that are rooted in the cultures of the major tribes in Nigeria which have been the bane towards uniting the nation since independence....

I doubt more people would have voted for Atiku than Tinubu, and my own Obi did not stand a chance having started so late. Nigerians can only push for a national reset by electing, with their votes, a person who campaigns to nationally reset. The other option Is a military takeover of government, but I'm glad you seem far too intelligent to suggest anything as devastatingly drastic as that.

Nigerians are not a conquered people per say..... In my opinion the issue here is that many are just too selfish to take responsibility over the mess that Nigeria has become.... The collective effort needed to salvage the country and save Nigerians from impending doom will happen when majority of Nigerians irrespective of tribe accept the ultimate truth that no genuine progress can be made unless they tackle these underlying issues.... Because a Yoruba man is president and running a bad government does not mean that Yoruba people will be spared from the consequences of his government during and after he leaves power.... Again, Buhari's 8 years rule should've taught Nigerians a lesson as regards this..... What are Katsina state people, the hausa/fulani people enjoying today as a result of Buhari's bad government? After 8 years they got nothing tangible to show..... this will be the same outcome for the Yoruba people and others in southwest region who think that just like Buhari they will be immune to the fallout as a result of Tinubu's misrule after all is said and done.....

Voting will only make a difference after a revolution that will sweep away the current evil people in government holding the country down to allow a foundational reset to take place that will divide the country or restructure the country by ushering in a new people backed constitution centered on decentralization of economic/politicial powers towards regions/states.... this is the only way out.... you are only deceiving yourself if you think your vote will make a difference in 2027 presidential election against APC.....
