i think minister ojo , should know better to be prepared. he should remember when he use to do this to people. Do you think he remember tofa vice president, sylvester Ugwu during the president debate in 1992, when he ask the question about biafra.
I would never forget Minister ojo question. Never forget. "How the biafra currrency fell like a pack of card. when Sylvester Ugwu became minister of finance under biafra" it is 17 years ago he ask the question. So minister Ojo and others would see, no be small boy they write.

Now he is old and expect Sowore to treat him nice. Ojo I remember very well, get it to sylvester Ugwu. sylvester Ugwu. nearly shit for body. sylvester Ugwu nearly was crying on that day. sylvester Ugwu started to clean his face several, like 1,000,000 times. Before minister ojo, became a govt man, he use to be on the people side before. i forgot his position with abiola hope team. He is now the one recieving the heat. if i remember very well Nduka was also there.

I think after 17 years, a generation should be ready to quit , so that our generation take over the running of the govt.

2 Cor. 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

you that wrote this, rich in this part of the bible is not money. Jesus did not have money. Jesus had no money, So false pastors twisting this portion of the bible is wrong.

Yes it is good to have money. Work hard to get money. But dont go and steal. In one nigeria church. A member stole 10 million to buy generator for the church. Is the God wealth. No.

Work hard. Do business, this is the only honest way to make money. Going to rob others, is not an honest way.

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. (16) You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? (17) Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. (19) Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (20) Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:15-20

1 John 4:1-3,

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (2) By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, (3) and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

2 Peter 2:1-3,

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. (2) And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. (3) By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

1 Corinthians 11:13-15 the apostle Paul describes those who preach another Jesus as:

For such are false apostles , deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. (14) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

What the minister should do is have some people ask him the likely question before he goes for any interview. The one with BBC was the same, he should not have told the BBC, he had not spoken to the president. And not answer. He does not have to answer. It makes all of them look bad.

What he should have reply the BBC was, I am in touch with the president team in saudia arabia. even if the press ask him, if he as spoken to him. He should just use the "in touch"

While for sowore, he should have answer the question with out talking about abacha. Something like. An answer , he later gave. That Nigeria was above a person , or yar adua.

There is song, call

Give me that old time religion
Give me that old time religion
Give me that old time religion
Its good enough for me
It was good for paul and silas
It was good for paul and silas
It was good for paul and silas
Its good enough for me
Give me that old time religion
Give me that old time religion
Give me that old time religion
It would take me up to heaven
It would take me up to heaven
It would take me up to heaven
Its good enough for me
It was good for paul and silas
It was good for paul and silas
It was good for paul and silas

Why do I want to sing this song. The real is what was the gospel of christ? is what pastors are now preaching part of the gospel of christ. No.

Paul and silas went to jail, that is the gospel of Jesus, Jesus carry the cross, that is the gospel of christ
This is the gospel, there is no other gospel.

The bible says at the end times, many would come in my names(PASTORS) deceiving the elect.
Religion / Re: Is It Proper To Label Pastors As Crooks? by becomrich15: 7:38pm On Jan 24, 2010
You guys are diverted the focus of this thread.  If a pastor commit murder,he is a murderer likewise if he kidnaps ,he is a kidnaper and should face the law not necessary as a pastor but as a muderer or kidnaper repectively. Now many Pastors are been labelled ignorantly as theivesnot because of any crime but because they teach principles from bible and people give money in churches. Based on the scriptures i gave ,  which backs up what they do in discharge of their duty and ministry , is it proper to call them thieves for teaching what is based on the bible.
Your argument for or against should be bible based  with reference to the scriptures i quoted in the opening or any relevant scriptures of yours.

This should be intelectual discussion and not the agbero style of " you they craze ,you dey mad , you dey gbongbolo siga"

Why would a pastor want to be a kidnapper in the first place.  my friend nobody, is been label a thief. It is only the thief that are worried. look an african pastor, very know from ghana was arrested at the airport abroad, for having a stun gun.

He use the stun gun to transmit the holy spirit to people. How can that be a man of god.

Look you given the church or pastors have become more of a scam nowadays. people now become pastors  because it is more profitable than other jobs.

Ephes. 4:28
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Nobody want to work anymore , everybody want to take from others.

Psalm 105:15
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Not every pastor is God anointed or prophets.

Were the scribe not anoited when Jesus insulted all of them and called them names.?  Why would Jesus do that? because jesus knews they were all 419.

Do you know that Jesus even went into the temple and show them the Isale eko way. Let me use the Isale eko style.  Jesus said " Eyi boys, ki le se ni Ile baba mi, before I count 123, you better disappear"

now let me drop the joke. Jesus went into the temple and give it to the priest. He called them names. Becomes he knew they where deceiving the people.
The pastors of the bible were not gentle men, they were all radical. That why they killed them all. Was Jesus a gentle man, when he throw all thier goods out of the place. No.  Jesus was a radical, that is why they killed him.

All his followers too were killed. most of the prophet in the bible were killed.

Now look at the church now. When governors, president go to Nigeria church, they put them in high place  and make them speak to the people. When the bible said, not even just the Bible said, but JESUS said. Jesus is the reason, why I am christain. Jesus is the reason, why I am born again. Jesus said. When rich or powerful comes to a church, DO NOT GIVE THEM A HONOUR SIT. let them sit among the church members. What do you find out among Nigeria churchues,

Can someone shout amen, am I, telling a lie?. Go to nigeria, who sit before the church,? who address the church? president , governors? federal cabinet ministers?

Now pastors can not speak the truth to the president or governors. Pastors now collect egunje.

Church is not about how much you can steal from the people but how much you can give to them. How much have the church contributed to the people of haiti. Are we sending people to help them. I will buying land to relocate them back to africa. if they want. This is what church is about.

I remember  when I just came to canada, an older member of the church,we call her Iya tiwa, mrs kolawole gave me her car to drive. I told her I did not want it, and after pushing me and demanding I have it, as pastor concern. I   went to park it somewhere I never drove it a day.

what was my reason at that time. She had one car, and gave it to me a young pastor to drive, while she would be taken the bus. Her first child was older than me. I did not feel comfortable with the idea. I tried to give her back her car. She refused. I never drove the car for one day. I felt guilty, that i would be driving the car while she was taken the bus. I never drove the car for one day.

But nowadays , pastors trys to rob people. They stand on the alter and lie to get them to give.

people now give what they do not have.

Some pastors tell tell to go and borrow.

a pastor reward use to be in heaven. But now pastors demand it most be here on earth.

Politics / Re: Oshiomhole Tackles Aviation Minister Over Threat To Shut Down Benin Airport by becomrich15: 6:27am On Dec 19, 2009
Benin Airport: Omotoba Stirs The Hornet’s Nest

By Abel Orukpe, Correspondent, Lagos

The Minister of Aviation, Babatunde Omotoba, is now synonymous with controversy.

Last September when Arik Air and Bi-Courtney Aviation Service Limited (BASL) were at each others’ throat over the manner in which the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) was handed over to BASL at about 6 p.m., it was alleged that the minister was in the know about what transpired.

He was not only alleged to have masterminded the controversial handover, he was also said to have made statements to the effect that before GAT will be handed over, portakabin would be provided for the airlines to check-in passengers and that the entire structure will not be pulled down.

That was what he told reporters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This was not eventually done before it was hurriedly handed over. Ever since, Omotoba has been embattled.

There were insinuations at the heat of the GAT war that President Umaru Yar’Adua would have fired the minister, but for pleas from some higher quarters, he was allowed to stay. His offence may not be unconnected with the allegation that he has succeeded in heating up the polity in the aviation industry.

Today, Omotoba has started another controversy; the relocation of Benin Airport from its present location. This is due to what the minister said is its nearness to the city. Other airports in Nigeria that are in the city just like the Benin airport include; Enugu, Lagos and Calabar.

The comment by the minister has once again generated controversy, as the Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole and Gabriel Igbinedion have criticised the minister’s statement in strong terms. Other Nigerians have also reacted to the controversial statement.

Oshiomhole condemned the planned movement of the airport, calling on the minister of aviation not to take actions that would pose danger to the social and economic lives of people and passengers from the south south and south east geo-political zones of the country that use the Benin airport.

He said the Federal Government should not celebrate incompetence and mediocrity through its closure.

According to the governor: “What I expect is that his business as a minister is to make sure that the airports work, not to preside over their closure. He should work to rebuild the airport; that is the issue. The point is that we need to see beyond our nose. You plan in advance, whatever is the thing that is not in place, they ought to have pursued it and begun to fix it.

“You do not wait for everything to pack up and then you close down an airport and cause social and economic dislocation,” Oshiomole said.

The governor warned that the closure of the airport would cause economic devastation to many Edo people and also retard the progress of the state as the airport records average of 18 flights per day.

Oshiomhole has a point in his protest against the closure of the airport. Nigeria, being a member of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), does not have policy to regulate noise pollution at the airports.

The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’ Edo Akpolokpolo Erediawa, had asked the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) to stop aircraft from flying over his palace, as it constitutes noise hazards there.

Oba Erediawa made the appeal when the board and management of NAMA paid him an official visit in his palace in Benin City on December 1.

The monarch told the team led by Abubakar Kawu Baraje that NAMA should look into the issue and direct aircraft to fly through the Ogba River when taking off and landing instead of flying across his palace, as they are usually very noisy when they fly across.

The Oba, who went down memory lane, said that his father in 1936, when the Benin airport was still an aerodrome, had warned that no plane must be allowed to fly across either when taking off or landing.

He added that at a stage during the regime of a particular military governor, whose name he did not mention, it was alleged that aircraft were flying across his palace because the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) mast was obstructing the route of the aircraft and to avoid accident in the air, aircraft were flying across the palace.

The royal father said that the problem was addressed then, as NTA was asked to re-mount its mast so that aircraft could stay off the Oba’s palace.

In his words: “Please, look into this for me. It has been done before .You can do it again.”

Earlier, Baraje had told the Oba that NAMA was in his palace to find solution to the Oba’s complaint about the hazards posed by aircraft flying over his palace.

The NAMA board chairman said that as a board that has respect for tradition and institution, it could not fold its arms and watch a traditional ruler as revered as the Oba of Benin and not address the issue complained about.

“We discovered that it was a genuine complaint. We cannot treat it with a wave of hand and we have decided to look at the case dispassionately,” Baraje assured the monarch.

He added that after carefully looking into the issue with his team of engineers, the board decided to come and brief the Oba of both the short and long term solutions.

The short term solution, the chairman, said is for aircraft to use runway 05 to lessen the number of aircraft using runway 023, adding that aircraft make a lot of noise as a result of technical maneuver during take off and landing.

He stated that with the new arrangement aircraft can use runway 05, which faces Ogba River provided the weather is conducive, as weather condition dictates the landing and take off of aircraft.

The long time solution, Baraje said is the relocation of the airport, adding that be that as it may, the relocation of airports is the responsibility of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), as NAMA is responsible for the management of the airspace.

He said that if the relocation of the airport, which is the suggested long term measure becomes the final solution, the team, Ministry of Aviation, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and FAAN will visit the royal father again to tell him what the agencies would need.

However, days after the visit by Baraje, news filtered in that the minister of aviation was also in Benin, where he was alleged to have said that the Benin airport will be relocated.

Igbenedion, who was reported to have called a press conference in Benin, described the comment by the minister as an empty threat. He was also reported to have said that that the minister’s comment was a grand design to enable the new international airports proposed by Delta State to flourish at the detriment of the Benin airport.

Plans, the chief was quoted to have said, are in the pipeline to submit a proposal to the Presidency on why it has become necessary to upgrade the airport in Benin from its present status to an international airport to join the likes of Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMA), Lagos, Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, Port Harcourt International Airport (PHIA), Port Harcourt and Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano in view of the fact that the airport is one of the busiest in Nigeria.

He asked Edo people to challenge the minister’s comments, alleging that it was the same thing that happened to him when his airline was still operating and people were calling for the removal of Okada Airline hanger but that it took the intervention of former President Ibrahim Babangida, who he said, came to rescue him.

Benin airport dream was conceived in 1936, when it was called aerodrome before it metamorphosed to an airport in 1988.

As the planned relocation of the airport by Omotoba continues, the Edo people in line with the reaction of Oshiomhole, argued that the relocation will greatly affect commercial activities in the state negatively, in view of the fact that Edo State, apart from being a civil servant state, does not have companies and multinationals like Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja.

Therefore, any attempt to frustrate the state generally and make Benin City a sleeping capital will be resisted.

Coupled with the fact that the Benin-Shagamu Expressway is now a death trap to road users, the Edo people are not taking the comment by the minister lying low because the only alternative means of transport by Edo people and other Nigerians, who want to go through Benin City, is the Benin airport, and its relocation will not be supported.

Today Benin airport is serviced by Associated Airline, Aero Contractors and Arik Air, with Nigerian Eagle Airlines waiting for the right aircraft before competing with these three airlines on the route.

Omotoba graduated from the University of Benin in September 1990 with a first class honours degree in civil engineering. He was nominated as best graduate from the University in 1989/1990 session out of over 6,000 graduates.

He was also the best graduate award from the Faculty of Engineering in 1990. He also won three universities and one state scholarship.

The minister, who is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), won the first prize in professional examination in May 1996, third prize in foundation exam in May 1995 and best prize in quantitative analysis in foundation examination.

Omotoba, who holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Kellogg School of Management, North Western University, Evanston, U.S.A, majors in finance, entrepreneurship, management strategy and real estate management.
