Ibrahim babaginda broke the law, when he said every federal ministries and activities should move to abuja which is Gwariland. Since Ibrahim Babaginda comes from Gwariland.  That was illegal.

What makes it funny, Ibrahim babaginda was a member of the Supreme military council that agreed that all commercial activites of the federal govt of Nigeria must remain in Lagos. The law does not allow for any form of commericial activities in abuja. Please verify this with an older nigeria before you make silly comment.

Look Ekiti state 2 million is more populated than Imo state 4 million. Even kwara is more populated.

Ibrahim babaginda was the one who remove borgu local govt from kwara state and put it in Niger state. He should not have done that, even must people from borgu speak Yoruba. and borgu people are in benin republic. the borgu people prefer to be in Benin republic with other Borgu people than in Nigeria.

The borgu area in Niger state was part of kwara state, It was Ibrahim babaginda who remove it into his own state. Is like you saying the french union was a country. The french union was not a country.
The world Nigeria means the Niger Area. To represent colonies within the Niger area.  Which where under the Royal Niger company. My grandfather worked for the royal niger company. This is why i know the story very well.


Britain could have called the nigeria area , as the british union , but because britian had too many patch of colony, all not connected. But the french colony where all connected.

One of the other patch of colonies was southern africa where a miner called Cecil Rhodes was. And they named the two colonies in that area as Northern Rhodesia and southern Rhodesia, which later became zambia and zimbabwe.

This is how it happed. We should not be part of Nigeria at all, because in 1957 we ask for self government which is basically independent.  Even if you look at the so call independent act. It still ties Nigeria to the queen of england. 


Northerner said they terminated The Republic of Western Nigeria. Is that possible. Can the northern military do that. They do not have power to do that , if you read the Independent ACT careful. It can only be alter   by those who were elected then into paliament at that time. It void the termination of the Republic of Western Nigeria.


The North has no Power to terminate the Republic of Western Nigeria according to the independent Act . So we still have the Republic of Western Nigeria. One side to a party can not alter an agreement or document. it has to be both side of the party.

Yoruba people have not agree in anywhere to terminate the Republic of Western Nigeria. The north has no power to terminate it.  Even the present government in Nigeria has no power to terminate it. Read the first constitution and the independent act very careful.

You can google this. There was no country in the united nation called Nigeria in 1957. Please call the united nation to verify this information.

in December 1955, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution advising the British government to hold a vote on the future of  ewe people of British Togoland.

UN General Assembly   tried to merge the Ewe people in gold coast and Togo together. On 9 May 1956, the UN nation conducted a referendum was held under UN supervision with the choice between formal integration the Ewe people of Gold Coast and the french Union of Togo.

What we are saying is that we should join benin republic.

I know you,may be confused by what I said. but let me help.

You see france had in west africa , what they call french Union.   The british had what they call Nigeria. 

Under the french Union there were region like  Benin Ivory coast, upper volta(burkina faso) etc. They were all region under the french union.  All of this region became a country.


While the British  had two union in west africa, which was called Nigeria and Gold coast . And britian had in the south of africa . Rhodesia union which consist of now zambia and zimbabwe.

The Gold coast consist of Ghana and British Togoland.   . Notice there was also french togoland.


The nigeria union consist of  region . west nigeria, east nigeria and north nigeria.

The western Nigeria area which was separate from the north had its on government.   Western Nigeria became a republic in 1957.  The republic of western Nigeria was form in 1957.

Please note , I used the word the Republic of Western Nigeria. When ever you attain self government. You also have attend a Republic.

So in 1957 the Yorubas had the Republic of Western Nigeria.  burkina faso became a republic in 1957 but got thier independent in 1960.
